sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
1:36 Aaron said he only likes black girls because they’re queen’s but when season 2 comes he is going to date Ana behind Zoeys and do stuff with Ana if you know what I mean
Idk if it's just me but tbh this colorism episode missed the mark for me in real life the twins would actually end up benefitting from colorism and how can they tall about colorism and not have one dark skinned woman in the cast at all or not in a supporting cast or as a friends or anything
The show wasn't really discussing lightskinned vs. darkskinned issues, it was mainly addressing how a lot of black guys prefer white girls. The twins don't fit into the lightskinned and curly hair profile that Aaron is attracted to either. They are brown skinned black girls with dreads. No they aren't darkskinned, but they still weren't on most of the guy's radars.
I am 72 years old and I can not believe this mess is still happening today. Here is San Diego ( Navy Town) when you would go out back in the day , you absolutely wasted your time going out to mixed clubs because the Brothers were not there to meet you. So unless you wanted to be a wallflower, you just needed to give up being seen by your own men. They were all over the white females. This really annoys me that my daughters and granddaughters have to go through this. And I tell you another thing I am learning...young sistas are being validated and appreciated by non black men all over on this computer. If you have not looked. Check out pinterest, You Tube etc. for AMBW and WMBW who knew ? All I can say is go where you are celebrated not tolerated.
My friend and I were literally discussing this 😂 These days black guys seem to prefer lighter girls and all the other races barely look at our direction, they keep to themselves or they also prefer white. Where does that leave black girls? At the bottom of the list...
Dont listen to this propaganda bull there are plenty of brotha's out there for all women. Just stop looking for them and the right one will come to you. P.S. men are trouble focus on your career and bettering yourself.
Netha Tetsi the stats is, that black married there own mostly, a few ppl dates outside there race, but it’s not even a issue, but colorism is where it’s at.
ethan rivers Asian men are not suffering! Lies! Asian men have the most spending power in the United States. And Asian families are strong units. This is coming from a biracial woman
She lost it when she said.."but why do i have to open up." The brothas dating only the white girls could use the same argument. " i like what i like." Love is hard i say that as a single 33 year old black man. Better quit picking solely for colour and find LOVE and someone who treats you right.
Well why should they have to open up ? Why are so many black dudes going for lighter skin or white ? Although it seemed like it at first but as I was thinking the twins are actually doing nothing wrong . Yes they are being given little options cause a lot of black men dont want them but regaurdless they just aint in the wrong . They have a prefernce which is fine and in their prefernce is their own race men who doesnt want them . That itself is a problem and color blind . The twins arent colorblind but they prefer to be with their own race and its Aaron whom is .
@@personalpersonal9356 i agree with you.. when the twin said she didnt want to open up i think she meant that she didnt want to date outside her race because she knew she would only be doing it because she didnt get what she wanted...i dont think its a pride thing but i think she just prefers dating within her race and there is nothing wrong with that.. also keep in mind that just because a particular type of black man doesnt want her that doesnt mean she has to completely date someone of another race lol... im sure there are plenty of other black men who would be interested in her
For those who don't understand why sky is adamant about dating black men. It's because of the culture difference. The twins don't wanna date outside of their race because they can relate more to other black people. And also the way they were raised. In the same episode sky said that their dad wouldnt like it if jazz brought home a white man. So they were raised to date inside their race. On the other hand some black men dont date black women BECAUSE of their skin so the motivations behind the preferences are different. Some Black men date non black women because they're not black and to them that means superior. Jazz and sky and most black women choose to date black men due to proximity and relatability.
I feel their opinion could change. I was raised to date only white girls cause everybody in my family or people I knew did the same. But of my own choice, I decided to date outside my race and black girls are my type, dark skinned and light skinned and I'm proud of that
it’s sad that the twins are the darkest women on the show. in real life they would partially benefit from colorism. but KENYA BARRIS is a colorist so of course he won’t hire darker women
Couple of things wrong about this entire thing: 1) The twins ask why they have to change their preference of guys, while at the same time criticizing black men for their dating types. I’m sorry, but why should black men have to change their preferences for dating? If a black man chooses to date someone who’s not black that’s his preference and his business. Why are you getting involved? Do all black men to accomadate their preferences and their love for someone for black women to feel like their wanted by society? So the twins can feel like their wanted? 2) This entire episode focuses on dating and race, it focuses on why the twins aren’t getting checked out by black men. The twins blame it on their race and how black men aren’t interested in black women, when instead they should be focusing on how race is only a small factor on why a person would date another person. I mean did we forget about personality? Did we forget that the type of people we date are sometimes reflections of our own parents? Zoe seems to be doing fine on dating, she’s a black woman and black men are interested in her. 3) The twins are athletes and the show stresses how busy they are between practices, school, and keeping up on their financials. Did they not consider that might be a reason why someone wouldn’t be interested in them? I don’t think most people would be interested in being with a partner that would barley have time for them. 4) The twins haven’t considered their personality. When Anna makes a comment on their personality and attitude, the twins immediately take the defensive and say that it is based off a stereotype around black women. In reality the twins have a pretty terrible attitude and personality when Anna makes the statement neither take it as a thing to consider and self reflect on, but rather a insult based on their race.
I would love to see the conversation the other way around, a white guy telling a black girl he wouldn't date her cause of her color. I'm not white but the reaction from our people would be so different and dramatic.
@@stoneghana4171 I know statistically speaking black women rarely date out of their race, If we compared to other races or black men but It doesn't mean It doesn't happen, why are you so confused? It's quite a simple statement.

The writer of the show brought up the issue to seem “fake woke” but then pulled away from it because then he would have to address his own colorism as far as not having dark skinned woman casted.. so he could have a dark skinned woman to address the issue of colorism. 5. Racism affects black people as a whole, colorism is a problem within the black community as far as black men choosing light skin or racially ambiguous woman rather than those “Nubian Queens” I feel that if they were going to get into that topic they should have had a dark skinned black woman tell their story.. not two clearly brown skinned (light skinned in the right light) do it because it doesn’t work that way in real life as far as the colorism within the black community
it's ridiculous. they feel like they on the bottom of some sort of list but they aren't even asking the white or Asian or latino guys if they would be their preference. maybe they're on the bottom of the black guys preference list (at their school) but not on the Iists of other people. and their argument that they shouldn't have to open up and have a right to like what they like goes for black guys too whose preference might be white or Asian or Latina girls.

Being disrespectful is now normalized for most most of all races/ethnicities but for blk woman that mentality been traditionalized due to stereotypes carried on from generations to the point where its become normalized for a good number of blk ppl to do certain things and act a certain way and due to teachings either at home, television, society, it's gonna stay that way to ppl realize what's going on and btw I'm black so......
People who think like that in real life piss me off and this scene pissed me off bc I’m a half blackout half white girl who is in love with her white boyfriend who is 75% Norse Viking (not relevant just something I’m proud of 🥰) but when we were in highschool we would get death threats, adults would stare, other people would shun us, and both of us lost a lot of people who we thought were our friends bc we were dating outside of our race. If you have a preference okay that’s fine, But don’t shame other people for likening who they like. If it’s not in your bedroom then it’s none of your fucking business!
You’re not understanding the saying. Luca is calling Aaron out for being colorstruck. As you seen, all the girls Aaron have dated are all lightskin and have curly hair. That’s he means by Egyptian. Nubian is referring to girls of a darker skin tone. So when Luca calls Aaron out for saying he loves queens he’s calling out the fact that the so called “queens” he dates are lightskin. Therefore making him colorstruck.
How come all woman can’t be queens like it just has to be black woman. Or like why is it a problem for people to have preferences like not to be rude but am the only one that sees a problem with this again not trying to be rude I just believe no race or gender or person is above another
It’s just colloquial, people generally refer to black women as queens to make up for us being sidelined in the past. It’s to uplift us cause we spent so many years being treated like nothing. I’m only 19 and I felt like being a black woman made me less than so to refer to us as queens to to help uplift us.
