- Today we're going on a day trip to Venice - we'll check out a unique local food market and see where the Venetians buy their fresh fish daily. Then we'll head to the island of Burano, one of the several islands around Venice which is famous for its colorfully painted houses. And of course, we'll check out a local restaurant and eat some pasta. Join me for an out-of-the-ordinary itinerary in Venice and Burano!

Would YOU live in Burano? Let me know down here 👇
I loved hearing the restaurant owner talk about the history of their place and its connection to artists. It was fascinating to know how they came to have so many paintings! If you hadn't spoken to all of them, it would've been just lunch. Instead, you (and we) got an entire history. Wonderful. Thank you!
This guy deserves his own show at Travel and Living Channel. Such positive vibes!! God Bless You Brother
Thanks!
Loved it! You are seriously the best TH-cam Italy tour guide. I hope you continue to make videos. Burano is now on my list.
I have been to Venice twice but not to Burano. Your vids make it even more delightful.
I was in Venice for a day trip in 1977. Visited the Murano glass works and museum. San Marco Basilicata, the wavy floor inside and the balcony of the four horses. Also the Doge's Palazzo, Ponte Vecchio, the Galleria Ufizzi. Missed three trains because I got confused and misdirected. All in all it was a great experience, little to small crowds. A+.
Not going to Venice but will be spending 3 weeks in Crema very soon. Can not wait!
It's should also be mentioned that Burano created the Venitian lace and is known for all its lace shops. They also have lace making courses. It's a beautiful Island to visit. Much less commercial than Murano with its glass specialities.
Beautiful island!
Hello ! I went there many years ago and found it beautiful and calm far from the crowd...I think I would probably stay on the island for quiet holidays and for the kindness of people at the restaurant ! ❤
We’ve been to Venice and visited Burano. It was a wonderful experience. Had a delicious lunch al fresco. It was so interesting to learn about the history of Burano and the restaurant by Anna Barbaro. Thanks for sharing 😊
Traveling to Italy in September, will be in Bologna for a couple days great idea for a day trip. Thanks, amazing as usual. Love your videos
Would love to visit the Island.
I’m will be going September 6&7 . Love your videos ! Thank you
Great Italy content as always! Italian Americans enjoy your videos. You have a great appreciation for Italian culture and history! Much respect! Salute!
Been to Venice twice and tasted their dish: Spaghetti al nero di seppia. it was superb compared to my version, of course. Been trying to cook the cuttlefish to be as tender as the one we tried but still not able to replicate it. We will try to cook it again using the recipe from Senora Rossana.
Please give us an update!
Bro is it too cold 🥶 in Venice?
Maybe you know now not all italians are made equally backward. Or maybe tehy're not backward at all. There are those who prefer privacy and those who let you interview them.
