These are my favorite hoop shoes I currently own next to the 34’s. Better than the KD 14, Zoom GT Cut, Curry 8, etc. I couldn’t love these anymore than I do! The bounce is unreal. The traction is sticky, even my Tatum PE with the translucent bottom. The extra Zoom cushion up front can’t be undersold: it’s insane if you play on your forefeet or when jumping! The materials hold your feet in place despite looking weird. You killed this review, as usual! I need a review for a shoe I’m looking for? You’re the first stop.
@@aydentran7107 I have wide feet but I always size TTS. These are no different. The 34’s fit a little more snug. I prefer the fit of the 36’s. Get your normal size and you’ll be good!
How does the cushion/bounce compare to the 34’s? Just ordered the 36’s and love how my 34’s felt, however my zoom unit popped in my 34’s so picked up a pair of these! They seem amazing! Can’t wait to start using them! These are elite!
Nike just started putting zoom strobel in their flagship golf shoes (Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2) and it feels amazing! Golf shoes usually are a pain by the end of the round (unless they are a sneaker version of golf shoes which is a trade off on traction). One bad thing is my airbag popped on my right or trail foot. Which is usually the foot that has the most torque on it and stays planted as you are moving towards your toe (so plant, twist, then finish with heel up movement) so I think that might be an issue. I am have a new pair shipped right now so hopefully it is a one off. But you are 100% right it's the greatest this ever best feeling golf shoes I've owned and I have had quite a few.
I actually really love the piston effect that the protruding airbag in the outsole provides. I felt super bouncy in the Super.Fly 2 if you guys remember that, and for someone who plays an athletic style of basketball I’m really looking forward to playing in these.
Is it just me or Nightwing has one the most cleanest jumpshots ever? Great performance review! I only buy shoes for basketball once they go on sale and I am definitely looking into buying Jordans that are for basketball.
Hands down the best modern Air Jordan since the 34’s. The 36’s have everything I would want in a basketball shoe. I hope the keep the lenoweave upper, improve the double stack zoom air setup with having full length zoom strobel and a wider unlocked zoom air on the forefoot on the next one
Great review as usual. That teetering issue is going to make me pass this one up for my oldest hooper. 😀 She loved the 34 high & low too. I got her the 35 in bred and a white and red color way at the very end of last AAU season and she likes them so we'll stick with those a bit longer.
Thanks for this review, I really want a pair of 36s. I have the 34s and 35s and the 35s killed my ankles but the 34s felt awesome. I was on the fence with the upper material but, after your review, have me sold. Hoping to pick up the either the "Glory", unfortunately on resale, due to the solid rubber outsole or the upcoming "Psychic Energy" model in October. I have seen pictures of the "Psychic Energy" with both the clear outsoles and solid outsoles. Hoping for the solid outsoles. Nice to hear the traction is great on this model. The only modern Air Jordan models I have are the 28's, the 29's, and the 34's. Had and sold my 30's, most of my 31's, and 32's. Didn't even bother with the 33's and 35's. Great review! Ordered the "First Light" colorway this morning for my son. He currently has the KD14s, but they are sliding all over the place (the opposite of the KD13s), so they are getting returned.
I saw a korean youtube channel cut the 36's in a half, the aclipse plate is actually a gimmick, because there is another internal midfoot shank plate on top of it. plus the outsole outline of zoom is not directly the zoom unit but the phylon. Outside all of that the shoes does work, so yeah, Jordan brand did great with their design.
So excited to see this video today I’ve been waiting for the performance review because I actually might pick up a pair. I play in the Lebron 17s atm the “airforce” colourway like the one with the really nice leather tongue ☺️They are a little clunky but I don’t mind that. I have smaller ankles so they give me more support I find. I mean it’s all personal preference but I feel high tops definitely help with my support but it could just be a mental thing. I do agree with you 100% though with the 35s press they do fit differently because they kind of hurt my foot sometimes but it’s only in one pair I got the other pair seem to be fine although I don’t play as much in them.
Things to add on this shoe that I think are worth a mention. I purchased an 11 which is my "normal size" they were way too small and way too tight. Especially around the toe box. So I went up half a size to 11.5 - They are still tight , but they are loosening up and "breaking in" OK now. Cushioning is amazing. Weight is also amazing as mentioned in the video. Ascetically - I'm not impressed with the gold trim around the base on this color-way. As a player I get stuck in the paint quite a lot. after ONE session training the gold part got scuffed and scratched and was visibly noticeable.
I bought these and they cut my toe. Debating on taking them back but I’m gonna give them another shot since it only happened to u once. They are pretty damn comfortable and light. That toe cut hurt and left me with a bloody toe

I got mine recently. Had the pinky toe problem and I felt like the cushioning wasn't there. Felt like I was playing barefooted. Hopefully, nightwing is right and it will break in over time. I don't also feel the piston effect on that protruding forefoot. Will definitely try to play it again to see. Looks amazing though. Love my multicolors!

Have you noticed a grip or traction difference within indoor courts when using XDR soles on PF editions vs. normal soles? I know you tend to get some shoes early by getting the PF editions. So, I was just curious.

Copped these and immediately upon try on these are not going to last more than a few games. The toe box is so thin around the big toe and has basically no inner lining or tpu coating where the big toe contacts the mesh material. It will wear a hole in that mesh in no time, guaranteed
Just got my pair, saw some comments about the wear after 2 months. Is the change in fit of the shoe because of the loosening that severe? also can you still use it efficiently after that slight change?
I have the same exact pair and they also chewed up both of my pinky toes (blisters and everything). Wondering if it loosens up and is no longer an issue for you.
