just use a advanced charger that is hooked all the time. It will charge after it drops below a certain voltage then turn off and repeat when it drops again. Been using a CTEK XS 0.8 for a 3 years now and never had problems.Using the quick connect.
160 CCA? My YTZ14s died after 1 year and I am using the bike daily. Before that I had a Lithium for 4 years. I am thinking to buy a BSLI-10 or ATZ-10 which has 360A. it will probably be BS cuz ATZs are quite rare in Europe I guess
Batteries are a hit n miss. Just bought a lithium variant...damn electronics keep shutting down when cranking. I think its safer to stay with AGM or Gel until Musk perfects the Tech.
@@PatrickFlinner I asked cuz mine is 2014 with a hecktic SM17 starter motor that draws a lot during cranking. I seriously consider to upgrade it if the new battery wouldn't solve the problem...
I have a 2015 Ktm 1290 super adventure and a 2016 Ktm 1290 super duke. I have changed both batteries one sames as oem and one the super duke a lithium but both bikes are very sensitive to cold they will not start at - 5 celcius and in Switzerland that temperature will hapen in winter, do your bike is sensitive to cold ?
john wayne mine requires an extra second cranking. That's it. Each bike has its own temperament. I did notice a difference In cranking between between the Yuasa and the motobatt. The latter is quicker in starting the bike. I suppose you could switch out the oil for winter from 10w50 to 5w40.
Hi sr, what is your opinion about those battery? after 19 months? Because I have Yuasa in my KTM Adventure and really I'm not happy with those battery.
I've been using motobatts for quite a few years. Definitely good batteries for the price and I will continue to use them.
Your narrative is hilarious!

Thanks for the tip. I have kids. They touch everything. I hope to claim their life insurance.

Is that sock On your brake reservoir?
Yes, my son's baby sock. Reminds me not to ride like a hooligan....and prevents me from staring at the urine jar that is the brake fluid reservoir.
Love It!!@@PatrickFlinner
Ha ha ha for those of you that's illiterate 🤣
