    We have one of that lizard at the back of our house here in Philippines. It's huge already and just running free around the tall grasses and stagnant water at the vacant lot. I'm not a fan of lizards that's why I got curious on what creature is running at the back of my house.

    Do you have tips on the nose problem with these guys, I’d love to invest in one of these guys but I keep hearing about the nose problem and I plan on building an enclosure for one but I couldn’t imagine not including glass, there would be such little natural light for them.

      I solve it-terarrium is open and she can go out whenever she will.She is very clean and she uses only water as toilet.They are very curious and like to observe what is happening,so i wouldnt keep them close,it must be torture for them.

      +Hanz B. Hey sorry for the delay!! I just saw this! I actually don't clip any of my reptiles claws as I like to let them keep them to allow them to climb and hold on to their branches to the best of their ability. With that said, my arms are almost always cut up!! lol

    • @MrHanzBayot
      @MrHanzBayot 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol, thank you for your time man I really appreciate it. I just found a solution already. I just followed a bearded dragon tutorial on how they clip their claws. It works fine and it doesn't injure my sailfin. Moreover, my arms don't get cut up anymore. So yeah I guess this can help you too. If ever your planning to have their claws trim. :)

    I only currently keep snakes but would love to get a lizard soon. These things are absolutely gooooooorgeoussss!!!!!! That being said I'm not sure I'm quite ready for this level of care yet but I want one sooooo bad. Big snake guy but I accidentally clicked on a sailfin care sheet while researching care requirements for mangrove snakes.

    What are the differences between the philippine (hydrosaurus pustulatus) and the weberi/amboinensis? Are both available in the US? What's their price difference, size, colors, and care? And where can I get one like yours?!

    • @gx3TV
      @gx3TV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Philippine Sailfins are much more rare in the US as they cannot be imported, so all babies are captive born in the US. Weberi are all imported wild caughts and are the least expensive. Amboinensis are sometimes imported and there are a few people breeding them, they're a little lower in price the the Philippine species. The weberi is also quite a bit smaller than the other two. There are also quite a few intergrades which are a naturally occurring cross between Weberi and amboinensis.

They usually go pretty quick, but it's first pay first serve. I'll announce their hatch on my facebook page at facebook.com/grantsreptiles Thanks again!
