I think these videos are very instructive and informative, but way, way too long. My wife and I lost our home in the Tubbs fire and understand the importance of fuel reduction, but I really don't need an hour to describe the problem and possible solutions. I'll also mention that when the winds are >40mph there isn't much you can do to prevent ember distribution.
Thank you for your comment @blkcat6184. We really appreciate hearing from our community and value your feedback. All of our webinars are about 45-60 minutes in length and are recorded from the live event. If this one (originally recorded in 2020) wasn't quite what you were looking for I have a couple other suggestions. First, for more information on applicable fuel reduction strategies, I'd recommend attending a fuel reduction workshop at Pepperwood. These are scheduled regularly, at least two workshops each in the spring and fall. They are free to the public and may be more what you're looking for to address fuel reduction in practice. Our classes and events fall listing will be released in the next couple months, and the best way to stay in the know is to join our mailing list or sign up for our e-newsletter. Second, in the fall of 2024 and into 2025 we're working to film these workshops to create a virtual resource around fuel reduction work and strategy. Best way to stay informed about this up-and-coming project is also to sign up for our e-newsletter. Thank you again for your comment, and I hope this information is helpful.
Tl;Dr summary: our houses are tinderboxes, and if we don't keep them clear of materials which can conduct a flame, they WILL burn.
