@@Vulkan477 It's probably just me, but I find a place that's just naturally creepy a bit more unnerving than a place that was built by people to be creepy. An example I can think of is The Valley of Defilement in Demon's Souls, nothing about is man-made, it's just naturally horrifying.
There really was a trend of having creepy stuff in almost every game during that era. Sometimes, it was unintentional and more a result of the graphics not being quite there yet, but, with TLoZ especially, no one will ever convince me that stuff like Pinnacle Rock or Bottom of the Well weren't intendet to just scare the living shit out of young children. Even Wind Waker had giant squids and probably the most creepy Redead design.

this dungeon made me fall in love with zelda. i was absolutely TERRIFIED of this dungeon, and i had to conquer my fears to beat it. same with the bottom of the well, i had to conquer my fears. that's what zelda is about.
As a Zelda connoisseur… this level is it’s own brand of scary because it is a hellish lavascape with banshee screeches in the background. But, deep down you know it’s scary only because of the lava. To me, Shadow Temple’s music will always be creepier and more unsettling. There’s a haunted element of a spiritual plane of existence present, not just the earthly horror of molten rock. What you can’t see is often scarier than what you can. This temple is still terrifying, though - just in an earthly way.
this game is like my safe place . all you need in life is in this game . hope , despair , courage and so on . ... whatever you say ,we're so lucky you guys !!!to experience such thrilling experiences trough an art called video games is kinda the best dope you can get !!! ❤❤❤ can't wait to play this game with my son 😂😂😂😂
This is how a dark cave should sound. I love the "hissing" sounds. I always pretend that some Dodongos or even King Dodongo where screaming in the far distance.
I Suppose the Screeching is the Dodongos Breathing fire but from afar. The Crashing sound could be Bomb Flowers exploding. Finally, The ringing noise is the Beamos’s Beams shooting out of their Eyes. Thats My explanation for the Eerie Noises in this Cavern from hell.
Of all the songs throughout the Zelda OOT Soundtrack, this is the first song that truly caught my attention the most! It's stuck with me to this exact day, and I find it very eerie/frightening yet calming at the same time! Ironic yet fascinating!!
Imagine waking up at 3:00AM to go to the bathroom with this theme in your head, like, is scary a bit! But cool theme anyways, many, a lot of memories with this! :)

@@Libby_290 No it's not

Anybody else find this place and it's music creepier than the Shadow Temple?
Place Nah
Music Yah
For me this and Ganon Castle Underground are the creepiest.

Yes and that is because its so silenced.
It is the shadow temple music but ambient alone in shadow temple music liston to shadow temple music with headphones
this doesn't even count as music really but that doesn't stop it from being the scariest piece I've ever heard in a game
It's probably classed as dark ambient, which is music, even if it's very detached from regular structure.
What about shadow temple? That takes it for me
In those years even the most joyful games were scary at times...I don't know why, but it was beautiful in a way ahahah

I think this genuinely has to be THE scariest piece of “music” I’ve ever heard, and it’s not even from any kind of horror media. Woah.
