Gliscor is on his hands and knees, crying and demanding why you would cure him of his poison affliction. By following his hippocratic oath, Goldengo M.D. ironically has inflicted even more pain and suffering.

If a car's power is measured by horses, and Revavroom is basically a car's engine, while also learning High Horsepower, then Revavroom should be in the horse council too.

In Gen 9 the pokemon company introduced paradox forms. In the same generation they introduce a technological sibling to the horse genre in revavroom. Though modern research revavroom has been reinterpreted as Iron Equine, truely a masterful work of forshadowing the future paradox mons in having them used as the boss mob of the evil team. As Iron Valient reflects both gaurd and gallade, Iron Equine represents all horses.

Fun fact: 1 Horsepower does not equate to the power/potential of 1 Horse... In reality it's something more like "1 Horse has 15-ish Horsepower" 🤨

The Gholdengo + Pecha Berry (Poison / Toxic cure) berrry + Trick is an ingenious trick (Pun intended). Not only does it removes the Poison Heal, but also the status applying item which can be turned around on another.
If self-status abusers are a serious issue, a Lum Berry + Trick Gholdengo will not only debilitate poison healers, but also possibly Flame Orb Guts users or other similar sets.

An important thing you forgot to mention is that lead Azelf typically tries to taunt lead Skarm. This Skarm is eved to outspeed Azelf by 1, so you can spike as they try to taunt you, pretty much wasting their turn.

I don’t know if anybody has mentioned it yet but on the topic of Fling, Kyurem Black in flipping Ubers utilized it to great success and actually almost got on a suspect test because of it back in Gen 8
When Kyurem Black got introduced into Ubers, it was immediately OP until Necrozma Dusk Mane walled the crap out of it, and unless it dug into its Gen 5 roots with Earth Power, Necrozma just was not dying.
By holding TR43 Fling would become a 130 base attack fire type move based off of Overheat, but stay physical so with a +1 attack from dragon dance, fling had a chance to do 91-105% damage in one go, and catching it on the switch would just chunk the Necrozma in the process anyways. It was so OP that many stall players clambered to ban Kyurem on the spot, but considering this was a one time fling and could be predicted it never went through. It was a genuinely viable strat for Xerneas teams to allow Kyurem to chunk the most viable wall then Xerneas (or Zacian) would come in and clean up

I've seen Snorlax in later gens run Crunch as their only damaging option for the same reason as HP Steel. Rest Talkers and multi boosting sets just don't have the room for more than one attacking move most of the time. Sigilyph uses Flame Orb Psycho Shift a ton due to its access to Magic Guard. I think the amount of immunities also helps a lot for Focus Punch sets. Opens up more and safer switch ins to the point of sometimes running into Pokemon that can't even hit you. Might do some more brainstorming on Focus Punch as a Ghost type option because its genuinely really good when paired with moves that encourage switches, such as Hypnosis, early gen Confuse Ray and even Mind Reader.

Another crazy set I’ve always liked is timid kartana. This thing has an unheard of attack stat, yet you go with a minus atk nature just to get a beast boost in speed

I run Trailblaze T-Grass Seviper in Gen 9 OU and it gets work done. It needs help, like Sticky Web, but so does stuff like Kingambit or Gholdengo so they’re basically the same.

As someone who was using Tera Fighting Tera Blast Glowking before it became popular, I like to consider myself a trend setter.
Future Sight baits in the obvious switch into a Dark type.. and often Kingambit is a prime target to eat that, especially against Glowking.
So you just Tera Fighting Tera Blast on the switch and GGs

Honestly, I don't see why Goldengo couldn't just hold a Lum Berry, since it would also cover for other potential self-inflicting scenarios like Burn Orb sets.
Even if those sets are less useful than specifically Toxic Orb Gliscor and thus less seen, it just provides more coverage against potential enemy teams than a Pecha Berry ever could.
I also don't believe that people would actively go out of their way to have multiple of their Pokemon be of this archetype, so again, it is just more potential team coverage.
The only time I could see a Pecha Berry being better than a Lum Berry, is if they have another of that same archetype as mentioned beforehand, or if you yourself already have a team based around inflicting things like Paralysis or Burn or whatnot.
But other than that, Lum Berry is just better.
That said, the sheer raw hater energy that putting a Pecha Berry on your Goldengo emits, is funny enough on it's own to warrant being the reason in-and-of-itself to use that over a Lum Berry.
It is so petty it is funny.

Gholdengo has a better option than pecha berry, because there's Lum berry, because this not only blocks Gliscor's poison heal but also pokémon that have the ability Guts, commonly Ursaluna, Conkledurr and any etc and it heals all status effects.. it is a little bit annoying of course and can be only used once...

Wanna say that flame orb psycho shift is also used by sigilygh. But I believe it only really uses that set in Gen five but it’s actually better than cress’ because it gets magic guard.

Jimothy, what do you think about this video idea?
A video about covering every „unnecessary pokemon“ or „pokemon nobody asked for“ or „most redundant pokemon of every gen“
you can implement the „play-through“ aspect of it or leave it out and focus on competitive only.

I think a new move that interacts with a Pokémon’s held item without using up the held item would be cool
But it would have to be balanced so that holding a kings rock doesn’t turn the move into a 100% flinch move
