Bama State sound pretty good on some of their songs. Maybe a little choppy in areas, and should complete phrases and such… but they aren’t too bad this year.
Both bands were on point. Who played the best jams that would be Alabama State. Who had the better repertoire add musicianship definitely FAMU. DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU LOOKING FOR AND WHAT YOU LIKE. ... But there is a reason why FAMU has 350 plus MUSICIAN /SCHOLARS versus other HBCU bands AND have way more national and international invitations.
@bruceivey8494, All those wrong notes sticking out in Famu’s songs, but you’re taking about best musicianship is hilarious. We don’t care that you’re big and sorry. Everyone said y’all lost but your supporters. Stop being delusional and maybe your band will get better.
@@sylvesTAUExactly, especially considering the fact the state of Alabama has *the most* HBCUs more than Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the state of Florida combined. Yet ASU’s size doesn’t determine their sound nor power (2013/2017). They also always manage to bounce back and grow to a healthy size again which says more about their program if you ask me.
That Sade was tough! Need more bands playing Sade songs

Asu came prepared and handled business!
Great job Bama State!
Yeah, right
33:37 says it all….FAMU was not exciting and a snooze fest, IMO! 🥱💤 They cannot compete in 0 and 5th quarters with SWAC bands style.
FAMU is sloppy! They're trying hard to get that "SWAC" sound, but they're sacrificing their musicianship
JSU VS AAMU ZERO QUARTER TONIGHT BRO😂 ‼️
@@CR8NKTR8IN say less 😎
Dropped it 📌
Nope
Fam so boring

@@Rod3820 not my band and if you want to get technical ASU had some early entries and stragglers one their notes.
@bruceivey8494, Famu had more obvious mistakes, and that’s why the majority say the lost the battle.
Trying to do too much with poor execution.
I truly think with South Carolina, Georgia and Florida basically only having FAMU and Bethune Cookman to pick from plays a huge part
