My husband takes our Lords name in vein every day, and l hate it. He’s an atheist. I’ve tried to get him to open his eyes and believe. I’ve come to realize that l cannot do it, he has to want it, and he just doesn’t. God bless him on judgement day because l can’t save him. 😢 Only Jesus can.

I believe being born again is a great experience speaking from my own personal experience. I believe it should be nearly the same for everyone but I have talked to make people who will claim that everyone won't experience what I did. I do not believe that. I strongly believe I experienced the love of God being poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit! When I hear someone say now you're saved... I don't believe it right away. I believe the Bible says to test the spirits to whether they are from God. In 1st John chapter 4. I agree with most of what you said until it got to him being assured of eternal life. I went through this as a teen in church a few times, then I believe God saved me at 30 years old in my living room while listening to a sermon.

Problem! Christians have tossed out the Law of Yahweh, claiming that "Jesus" fulfilled the Law, leaving us without responsibility to the Law, thus no benchmark to define sin and thus repent! To REPENT, one needs to understand what SIN is and the WHOLE Law is defined as sin according to Scripture. John defines sin this way: "Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness." (1Jn 3:4) The KJV translates the Greek "anomia" (Lawlessness) as "transgression of the Law." Even the gentiles turning to Christ were given four OT Laws to be saved and expected to go and hear teh Torah (Moses) every Sabbath: “For from ancient generations Moses has, in every city, those proclaiming him - being read in the congregations every Sabbath.” (Act 15:21) Even Paul writes: "What, then, shall we say? Is the Law sin? Let it not be! However, I did not know sin except through the Law. For also the covetousness I knew not if the Law had not said, 'You shall not covet.' ” (Rom 7:7) Those who created the abiblical division of "moral law," "ceremonial law" and "judicial law" will have a lot of blood on their hands!
That's true but there's also a manner of how we speak to other Christians in their sin. Cause Paul does warn in Romans 14 how not to judge brothers and sisters. If both of us are truly born again we will be judged at the judgement seat of Christ. (To be clear, I am by no means saying Ray is in the wrong) Ray doesn't judge him, he gets him to do his own reflection based on God's law. We have sins (as born again believers) that we don't always want to confess to God because we still have our fleshly nature. This is Christians judging each other is dangerous if it isn't done out of love. (I Actually don't like the word judge)

When it comes to others who are in-Christ, I'd prefer advise, implore, guide, etc. what we do when we call out a brother or sister comes from our discernment. Our discernment can be wrong too sometimes which is why I leave it to Christ to judge.

I love you brother Ray and recognize that what you are doing is what you are called to do: to wake people up to the truth they ( which means, we all) are born already in a state of being sinners. You are not being rude, You always include yourself when you shake down the spiritual blindness and make evident the self -righteousness most of us have to get past in order to recognize that WE/I am facing death penalty and eternity in a lake of fire with no chance of getting out, being totally cut off from God and any hope of release. Forever doomed. No lambasting in the comments from me! I was reading Deuteronomy today (which seems incredibly boring and is slow at parts but has more than you think), and I discovered a couple of convicting verses: 30:15-16 "Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by WALKING IN HIS WAYS." 30:20 You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and COMMITTING yourself FIRMLY to him. These reminded me of Paul saying that just because we're saved doesn't mean we can do whatever we like. It's understandable if we fall back into old habits now and then, but we can't just go easy and shrug it off. When we give our lives to God, we must place everything in his hands, sometimes getting rid of things we liked as our earthly selves, from dirty books and a porn app to even friends (that influence you poorly) and a job (that God doesn't want you to have). We must remember Galatians 2:20. We need to be *crucified, not compromised*

(Romans 10:9, ESV) But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22, ESV) I understand your meaning I think, but if your comment were instructions which were followed to the letter it would not lead to life. Even the demons believe and tremble. Hearing with faith by itself is self deception.
Five years ago, I'd have left a similar comment. But after struggling with depression, wanting to die, being addicted to porn for a while, and getting drunk somewhat regularly, my weaknesses could not be ignored. As I talked to God and studied, I saw clearly that none of Paul's requirements in Romans applied to me. I was not dead to self. I was not God's slave. I was memorizing 1st John when this nailed me to the wall, "4 Whoever says "I know him" but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: (1 John 2:4-5, ESV)" I began making an effort to keep the commandments of Jesus and was unable. I cried in fear for months as I cried out to God for the righteousness that I was lacking. I knew it wasn't in me. I begged God for it for months. He answered me. He set me free. I expelled demons for 2 or 3 hours after believing myself saved for 20 years. Now I see. Now I can keep the commandments. I still make mistakes, but though I sin, I am no longer CAPTURED by ANY sin. I know for a fact that your simplistic view does not lead to salvation for most people. I had joined churches, played instruments on stage during worship, and taught Sunday school. Nobody loved me enough to say what I am saying to you. If that is the measure of the depth of your walk with God, that you just believe him, you are likely unsaved and possibly harboring demons. Seek righteousness and obedience to make your calling and election SURE. Demons believe too. Samuel H.
As a born again Christian to say we are not saved by anything we do or say doesn't make sense to unbelievers because we understand that it is what we do and say that qualifies us to accept his gift of taking the punishment we deserved its thru taking up our cross and dying to our old evil desires and following Christ. True repentance isn't just being sorry for breaking his laws its turning from and living your best to not lie cheat steal committ adultery or kill/murderer Jesus said if you look at someone to lust after them your guilty of committing adultery in your heart. And if you hate someone your guilty of murder. That's why the Bible says we need to die to our flesh when we want to lust or lie or to hate someone for no real reason. Even if you have a good reason your supposed to love your enemies. And you never can if you don't love God first because of what he did to save you from HELL.

Thank you dear friend for your honesty, Matthew chapter one and verse twenty one says…….. shall call His name Jesus for He shall Save His people from their Sins. Jesus Christ alone will save you to the uttermost from everything that has been afflicting you and keeping you bound in iniquity and sin. There is nothing too hard for the Lord Jesus, He has Saved me from my own evil ways and I had a very bad car accident nine years ago that has left me with a traumatic brain injury. I spent nearly four months in hospital and I am now on a Disability Support Pension, but God through the Lord Jesus Christ has Saved and is still saving me and He can do the same thing for you my dear friend.

I have seen people who say they are Christian and live like the world. It is loving and caring to get them to examine themselves by asking questions like these, and the Lord will convict them of sin.

@@Disciple793 yes. I understand. And Jesus had every right to judge hypocrites. I'm just saying that I wouldn't use "judge" in terms of the context we have today in English. When it comes to others who are in-Christ, I'd prefer advise, implore, guide, etc. what we do when we call out a brother or sister comes from our discernment. Our discernment can be wrong too sometimes which is why I leave it to Christ to judge.

I love you brother Ray and recognize that what you are doing is what you are called to do: to wake people up to the truth they ( which means, we all) are born already in a state of being sinners. You are not being rude, You always include yourself when you shake down the spiritual blindness and make evident the self -righteousness most of us have to get past in order to recognize that WE/I am facing death penalty and eternity in a lake of fire with no chance of getting out, being totally cut off from God and any hope of release. Forever doomed. Our Self righteousness is not always mixed with ARROGANCE, but it is the idea that we, by our own perceived goodness, kindness, and relative not -so-badness in comparison with say Hitler or Idi Amin or Stalin , will certainly be Good Enough get US (me, you, they) a reward in that happy place, an afterlife in heaven. I know you genuinely care about the people you reach out to. And this young brother did the right thing after he realized his error. He repented and prayed for forgiveness on the spot. Yay.... so glad he did, people, I had a very humbling, conviction of my own innate sinfulness and the fact i was in fact a very sinful person heading to doom, but also that the Lord God loves me really really loves me and doesn’t want me (or you!) to go to a lake of burning sulfur for all eternity. The Holy Spirit worked in my heart convicting me not only of my sins and how holy God sees me, but the love of God was poured into my being, and i surrendered my sinful life to Jesus Christ as savior and LORD over twenty years ago. I was a bisexual witch with demons. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t tell us we are sinners, or a minister such as you (Ray) doesn’t really present the fact that God is a judge , and we are GUILTY, and that we must stand before Him after we die and He has already told us His requirements, so really we have no excuses ( our conscience backs us up or accuses us as well) and WE ARE ALL GUILTY AS CHARGED apart from accepting the Payment-In-full provided by God Himself thru His Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST, aka Yeshua the Nazarene of the tribe of Judah. We are all born flawed and will surely be doomed without hope until the Lord sets us free by His own blood on the cross. Thanks for what you are doing. The Lord Jesus Christ came and died ONCE for all time, to set us all free; but we must personally accept that sacrificial payment for what we ourselves are personally guilty of, and repent and do our best to walk sin free and confess any sins we may commit after our being initially born again. He promises to forgive and cleanse us when we admit and turn away from any sins we may commit. Yes, we do need to repent when we sin. And strive against sin. It is a life long battle to overcome ALL our sinful tendencies but we do succeed in overcoming little by little and when we are taken to be with Jesus either by our death or the rapture, we will never have to worry about sinning again, because He will perfect us and change us to be glorified. Thank you to all who are searching for God to reveal Himself and who listen to Ray and what he is saying. God loves you and doesn’t want you to go to to hell. Neither do i! No lambasting in the comments from me! I was reading Deuteronomy today (which seems incredibly boring and is slow at parts but has more than you think), and I discovered a couple of convicting verses:
30:15-16 "Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by WALKING IN HIS WAYS."
30:20 You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and COMMITTING yourself FIRMLY to him.
These reminded me of Paul saying that just because we're saved doesn't mean we can do whatever we like. It's understandable if we fall back into old habits now and then, but we can't just go easy and shrug it off. When we give our lives to God, we must place everything in his hands, sometimes getting rid of things we liked as our earthly selves, from dirty books and a porn app to even friends (that influence you poorly) and a job (that God doesn't want you to have).
We must remember Galatians 2:20. We need to be *crucified, not compromised*

But after struggling with depression, wanting to die, being addicted to porn for a while, and getting drunk somewhat regularly, my weaknesses could not be ignored. I began making an effort to keep the commandments of Jesus and was unable. I cried in fear for months as I cried out to God for the righteousness that I was lacking. I knew it wasn't in me. I begged God for it for months. He answered me. He set me free. I expelled demons for 2 or 3 hours after believing myself saved for 20 years. Now I see. Now I can keep the commandments. I still make mistakes, but though I sin, I am no longer CAPTURED by ANY sin. I know for a fact that your simplistic view does not lead to salvation for most people. I had joined churches, played instruments on stage during worship, and taught Sunday school. Nobody loved me enough to say what I am saying to you. If that is the measure of the depth of your walk with God, that you just believe him, you are likely unsaved and possibly harboring demons. Seek righteousness and obedience to make your calling and election SURE. Demons believe too.

As a born again Christian to say we are not saved by anything we do or say doesn't make sense to unbelievers because we understand that it is what we do and say that qualifies us to accept his gift of taking the punishment we deserved its thru taking up our cross and dying to our old evil desires and following Christ. This country was based on Gods laws. God wrote them on our hearts people who have never heard of the bible know its wrong to lie cheat steal committ adultery.
The Ten commandments are the moral law you and I broke the law. Anyone who breaks the law is required death and death by definition is eternal separation from God in Hell. But God made a way so you don't have to go to Hell He became flesh"Jesus" 100% God 100 % Man created a body in a virgin was born lived a life upholding all of his laws living a perfect life than he was beat tortured disfigured and hung on a cross taking the pain and mutilation we deserve for breaking his laws. So that if today you belive that he lived died rose again and took your punishment. He paid your fine.
There has to be punishment for breaking God's laws he isn't going to sweep it under the rug and just forget about it he physically took your punishment took your place so you could take his place like if you lived a perfect life without breaking His Laws. True repentance isn't just being sorry for breaking his laws its turning from and living your best to not lie cheat steal committ adultery or kill/murderer Jesus said if you look at someone to lust after them your guilty of committing adultery in your heart. And if you hate someone your guilty of murder. That's why the Bible says we need to die to our flesh when we want to lust or lie or to hate someone for no real reason. Even if you have a good reason your supposed to love your enemies. And you never can if you don't love God first because of what he did to save you from HELL.

Jesus Christ alone will save you to the uttermost from everything that has been afflicting you and keeping you bound in iniquity and sin. There is nothing too hard for the Lord Jesus, He has Saved me from my own evil ways and I had a very bad car accident nine years ago that has left me with a traumatic brain injury. I spent nearly four months in hospital and I am now on a Disability Support Pension, but God through the Lord Jesus Christ has Saved and is still saving me and He can do the same thing for you my dear friend.
Ask Gd to give you the fear of the Lord…
May we work out our salvation in FEAR and Trembling because I sure don’t want to be in hell for eternity
