+ImposterMetaKnight It really grinds my Game Gears when people misuse jokes. I have a Master System in place to ensure proper use of these jokes and its been a real Dreamcast thus far. ...Sega Saturn.
Silvia Rios Cordero I'll take your word for it! Haha, honestly reading my own joke 2 years later after listening to this song once again, still makes me chuckle. :)
Mysterious Beaver Actually, Peach was always depicted as a blonde in the original artwork, and she was never called "Princess Toadstool" in Japan. As for Bowser, his full title in Japan is "Daimaō Kuppa", which basically means "Great Demon King Koopa".
It was always such a treat to make it to this zone as a kid who had a lot of trouble with Chemical Plant and Aquatic Ruin. It was like a reward for doing well.
This is by far my favourite zone in the game! It's...it's just a good time! No killer robots, no death traps. Just hundreds of points, robot bouncers and lots of fun casino games to play!
While Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is easily one of my favorite video games of all time, ive always felt that in the main part of the game, two things were missing: 1. more Shadow stages. and 2. A CASINO THEMED STAGE!!! they've always been one of my favorite parts of any sonic game, ever since my cousin first introduced me to video games by teaching me how to play sonic games on his sega genesis. the music, the mood, the gameplay, a casino stage is always the way to go!
The two player Casino Night music was going to be in a level that was originally supposed to be in Sonic 2 but the level was cut before the game was released. Look up "Sonic 2 ssecret levels" on TH-cam.
When this game was still on display consoles in stores in '96, I would always see the game cycle through demos of the first 4 zones. So when I finally got it and played it, I honestly thought there was nothing beyond this zone lol
This song is awesome to listen while in Las Vegas. I remember being in Vegas with my Sega Nomad, and having this track play over and over with my headphones on :)
As we might easily know, the slot machines in this zone helped start the Slot Machine Bonus Stage in Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I think the shooting galleries at Circus Park in the Shadow the Hedgehog game are also based on slot machines in older Sonic games.
They say games only teach bad things to children, but the true is that Sonic 2 teach us all the valuable lesson on how gambling takes all your money, and even if you get lucky and win at it, all the precious time and efforts you put in that one pitiful prize are not worth it. Also hotdogs are green.
Dr. Robotnik: Step right up and gamble your rings! Risk big, win big! Most definitely not a scam or scheme, I promise! Sonic: ...This is just sad, Eggman.
Shining my shoes, I'm feeling lucky today Where in the Casino, where we play the night away. Keep your eye on those rings, Cause you never know. In the Night Zone your luck might take a blow. So here we are! The streets are so pretty. Were strooling along, Its just you and me. Don't try to go to far and lose your cool Or you'll end up like you'll end up like a you'll end up like a Fool.
*Farms rings and points relentlessly, gains 2 or maybe 3 lives* *Loses one due to Time Over almost at goal* *Continues farming rings and points relentlessly* BEST ZONE EVER!
You know what casinos need. Sonic the hedgehog 2 slot machines. Just imagine it playin casino night as you walk by lookin at all the lights, all the scenery, and the the wheels done up like casino night's slot :3 oooooh how i would love to go to a casino then, and spend a few bucks here, and there.
any of you who wish to download these, or any songs from youtube, just get the youtube downloader. Go to google, type in "TH-cam Downloader" and you should be able to find it from there. Once you get it, just put the video URL in the area that asks for it, and then click the download button. Once downloaded, you can convert the video to MP3, windows media video, etc. Just remember, it only works with youtube videos, and you may want to update it occasionally.
in the credits at the end of the game this song does play sped up. i guess the older version of the song was faster, but i think this slower paced and less exciting version goes better with the level

So we all had the same childhood? haha. Man, I remember the first time I played this level it felt oddly out of place; it was very different from emerald hill zone: It was suddenly night time, flashy machines, upbeat old-timey music and I felt high on life.
+Anime Teen Since the 90's? Mario recently has been on top of it's game at god tier music. Can't beat the Sax, and sega isn't even trying. I will admit the classic sonic games had infinitely better music due to better sound cards, though.
Poor kids today, not realising what they missed out on. The charm of video games has been phased out in favour of shinier graphics and realistic gameplay. Games are no longer "games".
yeah, even though im in that generation, ive played the games people say are "too old". and I honestly think that these games are better than most of the games that are out right now
Pixelated Cherry Same here, kind of. I was born in 1996, but I was brought up with a brother and sister who both gamed, so we used to always play older games. Sonic 2, Pokemon (gen 1), Morrowind and Halo were my first four games and they very much defined my tastes. But Sonic 2... it is just so unlike what you play these days. If it wasn't for me trying to get the best possible time on each zone, I would gladly have explored an entire level. So many different possible paths, now developers are just lazy and make things on-rails without literally being on rails.
TheFeezy777 You're damn right about the drums. I spent a whole week when I was little trying to figure out how to get out of room where it locks you in with that one drum. And then when I found out all you had to do was go up and down with the stick I was like, "-.-............FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"
After hearing this song again from now on when i go to Vegas and right when i go into a casino i will have this song in my head, or if i have my i pod with em before i walk in i will play this song and listen to it with my ear buds.
Greta for a game that never gets old! I have Sonic Mega Collection Plus that I can play this on. It was my brother's but then he gave it to me. I'm so glad he did!
This has always been my favourite Sonic stage! both the look and the music! my ideal new Sonic would be a full console game in 2d with this level recreated both in terms of the look and definitely the music!
oh boy my eyes are going to my childhood i died on purpose to i could keep playing this level wonder who else did this thumbs up or repley if you did the same thing

Actually before that before them making video games they made slot machines
This track takes me to a time and place I would do almost anything to go back to man...

Back in the days when King Koopa was King Koopa and Dr. Robotnik was Dr. Robotnik.
Koopa-sama is more like "honorable mr. Koopa", King Koopa would be something along the lines of "o-Koopa"

Mysterious Beaver Actually, Peach was always depicted as a blonde in the original artwork, and she was never called "Princess Toadstool" in Japan. As for Bowser, his full title in Japan is "Daimaō Kuppa", which basically means "Great Demon King Koopa".
Robotnik was US only, in Japan he was always Eggman

This level taught me more about gambling responsibly than any of those gamble responsibly adverts
I learned that even if you lose all your money, if you have some power you can't be arrested for going into debt.
Freakin sweet tune. I'm currently turning this into a full blown piano solo with a stride left hand.

They should have a playlist of video game casino music. This and the Game Corner music from FRLG should be top picks.
Ah.. the legendary Sonic casino music. I miss this song so much! The 90's needs to come back!
When the music starts my brain goes straight to "Well time to play the slots till I stock up on lives".
*gets eggman*
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I would sell my soul for a continue
It was always such a treat to make it to this zone as a kid who had a lot of trouble with Chemical Plant and Aquatic Ruin. It was like a reward for doing well.
Chemical plant was my nightmare!
It's a breath of relief since there's no enemies in this zone too.
I loved the stages backgrounds, the soundtracks always told the story on what was happening back there

It's...it's just a good time! No killer robots, no death traps.
Just hundreds of points, robot bouncers and lots of fun casino games to play!
This song plays im my head whenever i get paid xD
lol
The punchy front of the trumpets in this track is like the lights of the zone itself. The baseline is the real joy of this song.
I had so many games on Sega Genesis I used to play them all!!!! Thanks for posting this video!!!!! I love it!!!!!

Love this stage it so stress relieving. *goes to metropolis zone* hmm how many controllers have been broken now
the day I played this level I learned that if you have power you can gamble, lose all your money, go into debt, and no one can arrest you.

Saudades dos bons tempos!!!
play the song at 1.5 speed! Super shoes!

They should've gone the extra mile, and written lyrics to this, and had Robert Goulet come in to record the vocals.
and we'd have a song of bit-crushed singing
