Merlin winning from Emma was bullshit . Yes he has been a magic practitioner for a long time but Emma had the powers of the savior and the dark one which should make her equal if not better than Merlin

Dark Willow, I mean she just screamed in the face of the god of death and it seemed to actually hurt him. Although, I believe it would be a pretty even fight has both display incredible spacial magic skills and control over the forces of nature.
Dark Swan because she's literally The Dark One. She can put a curse Dark Josie, Tribrid Hope and Dark Willow, alter their memories or trap them in some realm. They're nowhere near as Dark Swan. The better battle would be Dark Swan vs. Scarlet Witch.

Based on the color of the magic, it looks like she was only using her savior magic and not her dark one magic
I can see Emma finally using her power now n she is not afraid anymore.
They wanted to speed up her learning magic so she became dark swan as a cheat sheet but could have done longer
Her magic was way better than her savior power. Also it’s like she didn’t even have to try or think she just did. As savior she didn’t know anything.
When the dark swan rose that season was one of my favorite seasons.
This season was so good until the Hades arc. They could've done so much better but it's obvious they started running out of ideas

you should watch the entire series Emma being the dark one will make sense. It's pretty good series never fails on plot points.
