I always love getting home from work, but Wednesdays are especially exciting because there's a new GAC video! It's been a challenging Autumn in many ways; your videos are definitely bright moments. As always, this painting is exciting and inspiring. AND I so appreciate and enjoy having The Treasures Within as a reminder that good things are always present, even when they can't be seen. I hope this Thanksgiving finds you well!
Absolutely stunning! You do have the most amazing palette! Not the run of the mill colours but presumably colours you’ve seen elsewhere and included in your own personal palette. Beautiful ❤
This is just so beautiful- all along, I tell myself it can’t be more beautiful but then you add on layers after layers and it unbelievably gets even better. Beautiful work or play t is gorgeous. This is a happy paint with all its colours.❤
The gold at the end, you just can't go wrong. And the intense colors you have achieved is so vibrant and wonderful. I like the crackles too so I don't see the problem with it, it looks wonderful!
Wow my friend ,how awesome to watch your work of art come to life ,you are so special kind and caring ,and I thank you for bringing it into my home ,its the evening here in Aotearoa after a really hot day ,I have the doors open to listen to all the bird song , such perfect timing for your tutorial , today I have been playing with water colour and ink with flowers and leaves ,plus finishing a pencil portrait of my late father in law,who died in an accident many years ago ,their mother had to raise 13 children on her own ,they all did well in life ,the portrait is in honor of him ,the younger siblings don't remember him so this portrait will be given to them next year at a family reunion and their oldest brothers 80th birthday, portraits are not my usual art ,so difficult to get a likeness, but it's okay ,arohanui to you ,thanks for lifting my spirits and inspiring me ,arohanui.
In some ways this reminds me of a beautiful mixed media collage brick and mortar design done by Nik The Booksmith several years back. I love this ...the colors, textures and the mediums used. It definitely is inspiring. Thanks for sharing, Hugs,GinaB💖😍💕❤
As always another true piece of art. I absolutely love your work, particularly these colors look so wonderful together. The texture and the crackle what a great combination. I could go on and on….😅. Thank you for continuing to share your process and inspire me! ❤
ii remember old Kodak & polaroiud commercials bringing the picture into view as the chemicals & colors emerged from nothing... watching you paint has me holding my breath as the layers build & colors evolve like a magic photo... ii sense we all participate as yr focus includes us... wow, sis... ty.
Love love *love* this... everything about it 👍 brilliant and SO well done 🙂 Consideration: once you get color down in the cracks of the crackle paste, spray a workable fixative over it which will give the next watercolor layers something to stick to.
I like how the watercolor falls between the cracks of the crackle paste and really emphasizes the cracking. I’m going to try adhering watercolor paper to cradle board with modeling paste. My board is 10”x10”. I noticed the paste doesn’t adhere to places where the application is too thin. Do you put weight on it while it dries to help it adhere evenly? I tried gesso and mod podge but I like the paste for watercolor because it doesn’t seem to mess with the paint like the other two.
Your textured art is always my favorite, and this one is over the top with the crackle paste...Wow. Do you attach your paper to the board using modeling paste? You might have said and I might have missed it. Looking forward to seeing more.
Dette var noe helt annet - igjen🤩 Jeg elsker fargene! Og resultatet. Morsomt å se du jobber med andre ting enn akvarell også. Takk for inspirasjonen du alltid gir💕 Ha en fin uke!🤗
This is a beautiful piece! It reminds me of the cover of the amazing book,The Pigment Trail by Debra Luker :) thank you so much for sharing x Caroline, Yorkshire, England.
Delicious colours! I love the way you encourage us to have fun and experiment without worrying about knowing what will happen. Good for the rest of life too! Thank you for the Dr Gabor Mate link too he is very interesting and has many insights into living well. Wishing you a week warm with love ❤️ B x 💙💫😘
I see a woman walking in the park. Also their shadows. There is a blue dog running along their side. There in also a person on a park bench Am I nuts .. possibly. This was seen before any fixing. Love abstract art. Love your work especially Gabrielle!
