I love them. For me I get a little bit of mustard and quite a bit of onion which is great since I love onion. Though I never got the tomato taste. Also I do add cheese to mine as well.
At $2.99 a can, I would give it a go. I would be prepared to season it up to my preference. I just made a pot of Coney Sauce recently using a No Beans Canned Chili. I did modify it quite a bit. I added Fire Roasted Salsa Tomatoes, extra Chili Powder, Cumin, freshly Finely chopped onions. For a quick meal, it was OK. I am prepared to do it again. I have 2 cans of No Beans Chili and Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa ready to be used. Those Sausages looked great. Wish I could get them here.
I recently had mustard in the chili and it was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it and that was my first time trying anything like that I'm 67 years old
Your right about any dog that isn’t a hot dog has to be perfect & growing up in So Cal Farmer John is the go to ! I never made anything that I presented as a hot dog except Farmer John’s Polish dog !😀 Living in Virginia now I am missing Farmer John !
As soon as you cracked the tin open I said "no sir, don't like it" If you look online, you can get Michigan coney island chilli. The last batch I bought I was pretty good but you had add water too it. I was used to frozen bricks of the stuff. Personally I find hormel chilli to be pants.
Try National Coney Island Chili Detroit-Style no beans, Wal. $7.98 for a 4 pack 7.5oz, makes like 3 to 4 dogs per can, It's not really tomato based more like beef stock, and they are from Michigan, maybe you already tried it being from Michigan.
Having grown up in the Detroit area and now living in Colorado, I have attempted to make my own coney sauce with varying (mostly successful) results. Every time I do, I put a good helping of yellow mustard right into the sauce. Yum! This stuff looks way too red for a coney sauce. It should not have tomato anything in it. Call me a purist...
Oh yesss!!! I live in Wyandotte downriver. I've been going to Leo's and Senate for years! At home, I use the regular Hormel with no beans. I'll have to get a can of this mustard onion concoction next time. 😂 Now that I finished the video, I'll pass and stick to regular no bean Hormel. I add a sprinkle of cinnamon once in awhile to give it that Skyline vibe. ✌
Two year anniversary yesterday of the Goofy Dog video! Perfect timing my dude!!! I’m gonna keep it real with onions and mustard, and gonna skip this product!!
You might as well had bought castleberry hotdog chili the way you described that chili lol . I don't care who comes along saying they have the best , always I will put chopped onions and mustard on any hotdog . Oh lest I not forget louisiana brand hot sauce :)
The only good canned Coney sauce is National Coney Island Detroit-Style Chili Sauce. I buy mine from Walmart. They also carry Pete's Hot and Regular Polish Sausages that are very good as well.
Randoms: We eat the Turkey n Been variety on dogs- Fed spicy beef n been with "That brick of cheese' n onions/canned jalps at kid parties Check out Feasto grill carts-
It looked Tomatoey when you opened the can! I've enjoyed their canned tamales for decades. #Sacrilege Pretty good for something you can just throw in a pot to heat or in a bowl and microwave.🤷♂️

Would we eat this (inside can view)?… Before this video it’s most likely a “NO”. Yet after watching your video it’s a “YES”, really a “MAYBE “ yet you didn’t give us that option!
Mid-meal showers forever.

I once dated a girl from Detroit and I moved there a couple years back. I will always remember how big Coney Island diners were. ❤
Like one on every corner
And can't forget layfettes and American coney Island they right next door to each other and balwayd the original ogs of coneys in Detroit

“Not bad, just doesn’t need to exist.” What all my teachers said me to 😂😂
Lol when he said mustard and onions in the can, I was so confused. But hell yea I'd eat that.
I’m still shocked
We just had Hormel Coney dogs last week, but got the dogs from a local meat store. They're really good!
Yes.
I would eat that and the Maxwell polish sausage. I love getting them from Portillo’s with grilled onions! 😋
Dude! I was going to tell you that they sell Tony Packo's canned chili on Amazon. It's amazing.
YES.
Yes. Ive had the chili cheese version. It aint bad. Works better on cheaper encased meats.
This is awesome!❤And if it makes you feel any better. My apartment complex also always has work done too. 😅
Haha, it’s the public Chicago building next door to my apartment. It’s literally nonstop.
It’s just so easy to make hot dog chili! I can’t do canned chili. It has a weird grease/aftertaste for me.
Yes!
Try some franks from Usinger's in Milwaukee. Family business since 1880. Old school dogs with natural casing. Snappy skin when grilled.
Absolutely YES 100%
I recently had mustard in the chili and it was fantastic and everyone really enjoyed it and that was my first time trying anything like that I'm 67 years old
Yes, almost anything in a can can be doctored up if needed 😋.
Your right about any dog that isn’t a hot dog has to be perfect & growing up in So Cal Farmer John is the go to ! I never made anything that I presented as a hot dog except Farmer John’s Polish dog !😀

Thanks for the review.
Koegel Viennas with homemade chili sauce, yellow mustard, lots of diced sweet onions, and hold the cheese, if you want a good chili dog.
Yes
Hell yes, although I'd try the cheese one first.
I have never been to Detroit and I have no idea what you are speaking about, lol 🌭 Happy Saturday Sean 💯
The best Coney dog you'll ever eat. Only from Detroit!
@@VallRoginski …and I have her phone number boo 💋🌭 ask Dave Portnoy 💋 Go UofM 🏈
As you say " that's a hard no" the sausage looked fantastic though!
The chili mac recipe that I sent to you is really good on hotdogs as well!
As soon as you cracked the tin open I said "no sir, don't like it"

I wonder if Bobaks is sold here in San Diego. I'd 100 percent try it out. Scratch that . It's only sold in Chicago according to Google search.

Mine has mustard and onion in what I make. Along with some other misunderstood but very delicious ingredients
Yes I would try.
Yes 😊
YES!
No. I'd prolly make my own Coney sauce. Kudos to you for your bravery.
Try Woodward Ave Chili - Coney dog chili.. (or no bean chili in bigger can. its the same) ..
Castleberry, makes a good canned chili dog sauce.

I saw National Coney Island chili in a can at Walmart last week!

I've been digging Wolf's brand canned chili on my hot dogs.
Yep
YES
I love the stuff! Im tired of typical Hormel and denisions hot dog chili
Yes/I have/Not bad at all!
Thanks!
Thank you db!!
Yes, I would eat it.
Remember, this is a product from the company that's proud of making SPAM.
Ally (sp?) and Skyline for the win!
After you showed that it cost you $2.99, you should’ve put in Joe Exotic saying “I am never going to financially recover from this.” 🤣
Awesome video Sean 🤘🌭🔥
No, I’m from Cincinnati. We get skyline cheese coneys
Hey Sean I was at Meijers in Grand Rapids and they have Woodward Ave Michigan style Chili No beans Bought it haven't tried it yet .
Why do you turn hot dog upside down in bun?
I agree. It really doesn't taste any different than regular Hormel canned chili. It's fine but unnecessary.
Just found you and subscribed. Great video.
Detroit's where I found "Chili Fries"
Grew up eating them! So great.
The only good canned Coney sauce is National Coney Island Detroit-Style Chili Sauce. I buy mine from Walmart. They also carry Pete's Hot and Regular Polish Sausages that are very good as well.
I wish they had this in New York
Yes 3:05
Leo's is my local Coney. 👍There's one about a mile and a half from my house. I rarely get Coney dogs there... I'm mostly getting breakfast. 🍳
I didn't know you had a solo channel, lol. You should try hormel angus steak it's pretty bomb.
Have you ever cooked a Polish garlic sausage back in the 80s we had garlic sausage
Not only yes, but I'd eat it cold from the can!

Yes…and I have.
absolfuckinglutly, wait was that the word you asked for lol
Tried various Coney Island sauces in a can and none taste as good as what I get from shop down the street!
I think Coney Island, I think New York and Nathan’s. Not sure where this definition comes from. I’m not from Detroit.
No heb chillie is it from Texas with ❤
Go figure the girl from BG wants skyline, while the man from Detroit wants coney Island. I'm biased. Skyline sucks. 😅
It’s so bad
@HeySeanEly 😂
Yes. But I’ll eat anything. 😂
👍🏻
Yes was good
A hammer drill is real man progress.
I will hve to try this on a Nathans hot dog now.
Frenches mustard? Where is the Sir Kensington's?😄
I used it all. Their bottles are too small and I still had French’s left over from a bbq at my apt. 😂
@HeySeanEly I hear you barking big dog. I agree the bottles are way to small.
It looked Tomatoey when you opened the can!
I've enjoyed their canned tamales for decades. #Sacrilege
Pretty good for something you can just throw in a pot to heat or in a bowl and microwave.🤷♂️
SEAN'Y encased meats
I'd eat it!
Yeah that stuff looked terrible. I imagine it being like that Manwich stuff. Just the thought of that metallic taste in my mouth. Terrible.
When eating hot dogs all you need are mustard, diced onions and a bun. End of story.
In Buffalo N.Y we call them [forgive my language] Shitty Canoes.
Actually, traditional Mexican chili doesn’t have beans that’s only an American thing
You need beans in chilli .
Ditka would love those since they're not Hot Dog Coney dogs duh bears
chili without beans is just spicy meat.
no thanks on a pre made chili with mustard and onions. I dont mind a canned chilli but the rest no thanks., I will add the mustuard and all on my own
No
You dirtied a pan for that? I'm certain it should have been poured into Midwest Tupperware (an old cool whip container) and microwaved.
😂😂😂
Not good to micro plastic
Grilled buns are waaaaay better than steamed buns
Yes, but I'm a sadist at heart
Yes! Lol
Now that I finished watching, I would have put mustard like you with cheese and onions.
Next - potted meat - pate for the poor.
I have two great potted meat episodes:
Armour - th-cam.com/video/NExpc1lvF_k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=U3MlJCzudSyao-CP
Deviled Ham - th-cam.com/video/FeFenGVDMBo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5grVSQNgHR2ahtUz
@HeySeanEly OK. I'll probably skip those. I grew up poor and know exactly what potted meat tastes like. Once you have it you don't forget.
How are you out of beer? That's a crime lol Hard pass on the canned chili.
These football games have me drinking too much of it. 😂
Ok , but the Reuben in a can is much better
