Social Work: Basic VALUES OF SOCIAL WORK

Values are the fundamental beliefs, motives or ends that helps a person to determine what is good, worthwhile or desirable and vice-versa. Values serves as a guide that motivates person's attitudes and actions. They are socially approved desires and goals that are internalised through the process of learning, conditioning and socialisation and with times become subjective aims, aspirations and preferences.
So, the values of social work too serves as a guide to a social worker for attainment of the aim of human welfare.
