He could be making up a story to convince crew that a killer is already out, just so imposters can get an easy win. 5up telling the truth not only allows all crew to know what happened, but getting Dumbdog guessed confirms the truth of his claims, and it confirms that Aipha was a killer and is out. Guessing just allows 50/50's to be done in one meeting instead of 2, which speeds up the rate that crew can gather information. Obviously the big brains love going for plays where they can sheriff multiple times in a round. 5up was the first person to not report bodies he's sheriffed because it's more fun that way. But it is still the tactically safe move to out peoples roles, because it makes it less likely for imposters to use previous rounds to create stories. The truth helps the crew win almost always. Also, if 5ups a boring role, then "solving the game" during a meeting is the only way which he can find fun. If 5ups neutral, then his job is to seem crew, so "solving the game" is the best way to convince someone that you aren't executioner/arsonist.
I love the part where Hafu praises steve for paying attention at the end because at this point everyone who watches steve's streams knows that he's not actually stupid (unlike, say, Ellum), he just has ADHD out the ass. But that does make him SEEM stupid, sometimes.
