Yuzuru's existence in figure skating marked the sport as B.Y. (before Yuzuru) and A.Y. (after Yuzuru), he changed this sport in all aspects and helped his visibility in the world. His retirement will mark another significant moment in the history of this sport, he is a skater that will never be repeated in the lifetime.
I have never seen those terms used anywhere and I find it really unlike that someone actually uses them. It's BS to say that his "existence in figure skating marked the sport as B.Y. and A.Y. " No it isn't. His existense is very much recognized but not everyone worships him even if they very much respect his impact on the sport. Hanyu is hands down the best there has ever been but let's remember that he is still a human, not god.
My world will stop when Yuzuru stops competing as there will not be so much footage of him. I am a selfish being because I want and need to see him skate forever. My wish is that if Yuzuru chooses the non-competitive world of FS then my hope is that he tours so we all have a chance to see him live. If he does not tour - then my plea is to all of the lucky people able to continue to see him skate - send us the footage, I am begging you!! Sending Yuzuru love, support and continued happiness in his life. UK fanbase
I think we’ll have more clips of Yuzuru once he stops competing, because he really goes MIA because he has to practice & focus. He won’t have to train anymore so I think he’ll be more seen & do more activities.
I thought I was the first one to notice the amount of audience Yuzuru attracts whenever he is competing. It was so different back then before he started competing professionally and I would totally agree on this. When he retires, there would be a huge decrease of the audience in every figure skating competition. I have been a fan of him since 2014 at Sochi Olympics. I was just planning to watch Kim Yuna but saw his routine and immediately got mesmerized. There will be no one like him, a poet on ice, a king on ice, a legend on ice. I will stop watching figure skating when he retires, he is the last living beauty on ice whenever he skates. the new generation will absolutely ruin that. (i believe it's slowly starting now.. all those bland and technicality focused youngins are just.. so hard to watch.) like he said, figure skating isn't just about jumps.. it's the artistry in it and unfortunately, i feel like he is the last one to ever deliver that.
I agree 100%! My figure skating interest began with Hanyū-san and will end with him... there really Will be no other like him in my lifetime, from Canada 😑❤
Exactly: the era of skating before Yuzuru and after him! Like in gymnastic: era before Comaneci and after her!!! GOATS!!! 2 athletes who radically changed the history of their discipline sportive!!!
Yuzuru Hanyu is Figure skating: Figure skating is Yuzuru Hanyu. Don’t fight me. Pooh-san have my back. >< We are very lucky to have witness the G.O.A.T writing history. And Yuzuru Hanyu is a legacy that changed figure skating to its finest.
Today, 19/07/2022, he announced his retirement from competitions. He did say that he will continue to perform, just not competing, so I look forward to more of his brilliant choreography
Ice skating will never be the same, because he marked a before and after, he is that special, and one in a million. A lot of people will try to be like him, but what he did and continue doing will never be replaced or come near it. He is art in every way, he is what ice skating is about, the pure representation of ambition, artistry and perfection
Everyone knows damn well (except indenial fans & haters) how corrupted and bias this sport has become. Yuzu knows, his coaches know, the other athletes and their coaches knows. ISU and JSF has been treating Yuzuru bad for years, politicking and underscoring him. It's obvious how they are overscoring specific athletes and hyping their career in preparation to replace Yuzuru once he retires. There are legends in figure skating even before Yuzu, but we have to admit that Yuzuru is different from them, irreplaceable, definitely one of a kind. If you watch Sochi and other competitions after Sochi, there are noticeable a huge difference in the audience. 90%, if not 95%, of the audiences are Fanyus. He's basically like the backbone of this sport. There will be a HUGE decrease in the audience and probably wont make that much noise anymore if he retires. It can be seen how Yuzuru trended for days and showered with so much love and encouragement before, during and after Beijing'22 despite not winning. Once be retires, figure skating will be completely different. In terms of performance and amount of audience. It's happening now actually, figure skating ain't figure skating anymore, it's jumping competition now. Honestly, if I were to be selfish, I want to see him continue competing because he's the only skater who has it all and the only skater that delivers beautiful, artistic, impactful and emotion-filled performances but after all the injustices, underscoring and robbed medals, I would rather him retire, prioritize his health, and go on a world tour because he has the largest fandom in all parts of the world. And once he retires, ISU and JSF will realize that there will be no other Yuzuru Hanyu and that his fans did not become Fanyus because of achievements and medals, but because of Yuzuru himself. I, myself, watched all his performances because it's captivating and I was mesmerized, literally the best out of everyone, but what made me stay in the fandom is his lovable personality. Without him in the competitions, why would we even bother buying tickets. I even saw many Fanyus selling their tickets when Yuzu withdrawn from the Worlds. He's been carrying figure skating on his back and once he retires, it will not be the same anymore. And seeing all the hardships he's been through because of the obvious bias and unfair treatment, I would pay to see ISU and JSF crumble down to pieces once the Yuzuru Hanyu retires from competitive sports.
True. I didn’t become Fanyus because of medals. I didn’t even know anything about him or figure skating or sport in general back then, someone just mentioned his name in the fandom of the anime about skating I was watching so I was curious and looked him up and watched one of his performances and I was mesmerized, then I knew he was the gold medal holder and I was wondering if all the gold medal athletes skate this beautifully, so I tried to watch others but they always bored me and I always end up getting back to watch Yuzu for hours.
When Yuzuru Hanyu retires not only figure skating will be impacted but also the world as a whole. Throughout the years he has become an important pillar for Japanese society and people all around the globe. There is no doubt that when the time comes oceans of tears will be pouring down our cheeks. Let's cherish and absorb every moment until that day and continue to show our worldwide support from the bottom of our hearts. 💜💜💜.
You forget an important fact: gallas will never be the same without him 🙂 He is so playfull and brings joy and fun on ice, nobody else did that before💖💖💖 Besides...Shoma has very beautiful costumes also! Japanese art and creativity is at other level💖💖💖
Yuzuru has earned a place in the hearts of many people around the world ❤️. He is irreplaceable, he is incomparable and an excellent human being. The day Yuzuru retires, many people will lose interest in figure skating. Yuzuru is what figure skating should be, without him it will become an athletic sport and lose its beauty. I don't doubt there will be new skaters inspired by Yuzuru's skating, but I don't think they can achieve their greatness on and off the ice rink.
After all he’s been through and all the injuries he’s suffered, I feel like he knows his body is almost at its limit. He doesn’t deserve to be hurt anymore. I wish he could do ice dancing rather than mens singles, but he loves the sport and I respect that. I just hope he’s okay…
I'll be so sad when he retires, because that will mean I will never get to see his musicality and his amazing unique choreos ever again. But at the same time, I will be happy because I know he needs to rest his body after all the hard work and all the injuries he's endured. So it will be a bittersweet ending for me. A part of me wishes he could skate forever just so I could see him again and again. Maybe he could become a rock singer? hehe just joking
I feel like I’m in a dream, he announced his retirement yesterday. I will miss watching him compete dearly, but I hope this next stage of his life brings him all of the joy and happiness one can have ❤️
I've watched full videos of the whole duration of different competitions including galas. I've watched individual videos of skaters. I've read social media posts, articles and comments about information related to figure skating aside from Yuzu. I've been amazed, impressed and touched multiple times by the things I've learned. However, I still came to the final conclusion that I am a fan of Yuzuru Hanyu and not the sport. I came to learn and understand more about FS because of him but he's still the one I want to watch every single time. NO ONE has ever captured my heart like he did. It's really just him for me. 💕
When Yuzu’s officially ready to retire i’ll be free from the isu and save up money to follow his world tour iceshows. He’s been paying their bills for over a decade
I believe this is the most difficult topic for us... We're all spoiled by Yuzu's skating throughout the years and we'll never ever find anyone else can draw our eyes like his!! However, we're all on his side and we'll stand by him including all decisions he made because we all love and respect him so much!!! Yuzu, just follow your heart and do whatever you want to do!! We'll keep supporting you always and forever!!! 💖💕💕
Yuzuru his own represents an era, the best and golden era, in the history of figure skating. Mr Massimiliano Ambesi, this Italian commentator also said in 2021 "as a former skater, I think Yuzuru Hanyu is the best face and testimonial for figure skating, a sport that is not going through the best moment in its history . He is the main image of clean figure skating and of the respect for the rules, even the wrong ones". For Mr Ambesi, Yuzuru is the one who still generates his emotions and best represents his idea of figure skating. I think it is exactly what we feel. Yuzuru's retirement will mean the very end of this sport - the true figure skating.
i'm so grateful to be living in the same era as him, i will definitely be devastated once he retires but as long as he's happy and healthy then i will try my best to bear the pain
I always will cherish the moment of living in one time and one word with him. Since 2014, i always was learning lessons of life from him. The most difficult time of my life, he appeared every time, and brings the sun again. I don't know when the time will come for me to graduate. But im sure, the last lesson that Yuzuru Hanyu will give us - will always stay in our memory to the end. But no matter what i want to see the Pooh-rain again.
Competitive figure skating will die when he retires. So many people are tired of the isu not addressing the problems of fishy judges, overscoring, doping and others, and are now only supporting the sport because of yuzuru, when he retires so many people will leave the sport. It's so sad to see
If Yuzuru retires I most likely will quit watching any figure skating competition and performance. I indeed had lost interest of figure skating before since Sergei Grinkov deceased and Oksana Baiul retired. After 25 years passed, I was stunned when my eyes were captured of the scene of Pooh raining accidentally ! It’s Yuzuru Hanyu brought my passion and interests back for figure skating !!! His skating is so unique, elegant and infectious like no other skaters I have ever seen. Any one of his performance is so impressive and beautiful like a fine piece of art . He is a no doubt the king of kings and the Goat in figure skating field !!!
He is one of a kind. When he retires, I will likely stop watching figure skating and instead continue to enjoy his TH-cam collection of amazing performances. Watching any one of them fills me with joy and makes me smile. He's beautiful, brilliant, and endlessly creative. He will be deeply and forever missed when he finally hangs up the skates.
We havent had pooh rain for 2yrs now, is it even possible to hold it in the future??? Once yuzu retires we wont be seeing anymore counterback 3A, twizzles and spreadeagle entries and exits, beautiful ina bauer and hydroblade 😭😭 amazing stsq, nobody else do it better than Yuzu😭😭 and those sparkling costumes😭😭 i just hope his dreams cometrue of landing 4A and later on 4F in competition before he retires, imo he will retire once he put into competition his other jump combination in practices he already did like the 4Lz+3T, 4T3a3a, 4Lo3T and many others..
I will cry a lot. He is my savior in ths pandemic. He touched my life. He inspired to keep fighting. He is my Goat. No one else can compare. Sana maging happy sya kung anu man ang tahakin nyang landas. Prayer to him.
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" -Dr Seuss I will be devastated when Yuzu retires. But I know that everything has an end. I just want to thank Yuzuru for all the happiness he brought to the world. I don't know what would have happened if Yuzuru never skated - if I never knew him.. Thank you Yuzuru for skating and showing your magic to the world. We will never forget you and you will be the one and only goat!
It's amazing people watching him the first time knows he a genius even without any knowledge of fs. He has a powerful bright presence & an aura that draws you in without knowing that he is a 2 times world champion gold Olympic. You can feel his humbleness & Chasmia shining like a bright star. He was born for his skates.
Hello MaxRo (and your fan friends)! Just wanted to share that, in one of the new figure skate magazines that just came out on 3/9 in Japan, Yuzuru’s coach, Ghislain Briand, said in his interview that “in fall 2021, I received 5 videos from Yuzuru where he successfully jumped and landed 4A. Until then, he went through so many falls practicing 4A, but he was landing this time! I panicked. Without exaggeration, when I saw those videos, I jumped up and down in my house with happiness.” (As you know, Yuzuru has not been able to practice with his coaches in Canada last 2 years due to the pandemic, but Ghislain was sometimes coaching remotely for his jumps.) In another Japanese article, it was reported that Yuzuru has practiced over and over and tried to jump “4A over one thousand times”. Just thought that you may be excited to hear about Ghislain’s interview, altho of course it is not all about jumps, and Yuzuru is rather a shining artist. Thank you for all your great videos!!!
@@maxro003 I couldn't watch this when it was uploaded. My feelings were still raw from Beijing, my heart was broken into pieces for Yuzu and for how brave he was in his pain and disappointment and so the thought of him not competing anymore was just too painful to contemplate. So I tucked this video away in my playlist for a better time and forgot about it. Today I found it again. And well the inevitable has happened. Yuzu has left the competition ice to the jumpers and is now going to skate his way for his fans. There are tears. Tears of sorrow for what is gone and will never be again, tears of relief that he is out of the bias and corruption of the ISU & JSF, and tears of joy for what is to come. Yuzu is happy. His future is as bright as the sun. And he's taking us with him. Life is very good indeed.
Fighting!!!!
I've grown to like figure skating, knowing the jumps and the other skaters so I'll try to stick around after Hanyu retires, but there is no guarantee that I'll continue watching every season. Hanyu just commands every competition, either by performance or his manners and interactions with the crowd, the staff and fellow skaters. He truly is one of a kind.
same, i like the sport as a whole but i do agree with ISU pressing on jumps so much it will lose the beauty but still i also like other skaters and will want to see them but one thing for sure i will not be emotionally invested anymore
@@donadwaritangkudung9338 Malinin and Kagiyama are shaping to be like Hanyu but still too young to embody Hanyu's principles on being an all rounder figure skater. And we don't know if we'll ever see the elegant and poignant style Hanyu has on the ice.
There will be no equal to Yuzuru. There will definitely be more technical skaters, and more who are artistic as time goes by, but I don't know anyone else in figure skating who lives in the moment and in the skate like Yuzu. It's like Michael Jackson performing vs real life. Yuzu goes to this place and just takes us along with him, and that's only on the ice. Off ice he is just so nice and good and pure. He showed that people can compete without the heat of jealousy and vile. Man, pooh bears are gonna fill the stadium with his last skate and I'm gonna be a mess
If Yuzu retires, I will cry of course. But if it will make him happy we have to respect his decision. As his big fan, all I want is his happiness and peace in life. But I will never stop loving him. And I will always start my day watching his past videos until I die.
I'll cry with you and let's all cry together when it happens, though that day would come, let's just all cherish those times when he was there to tell and show the world who he really is and not only because if his talent I was drawn by him but also by his heart and that's why I think you are a fanyu and will cry rivers too.
What is sad is that after 4 months of this video being released he has retired from competitive figure skating, I have never cried this hard in my whole entire life. Please continue on yuzuru san.
We lived on a tropical country and Im just a new Fanyu the first time I saw him performed was gave me a goosebumps and a lot of admiration. I just know the sports as literal skating but the first time I watched him performed It was moved me in so many ways. Im too late to know and follow him. One of my life goal is to see him perform, even when he retires already I know that a lot of opportunity and stages will be open and embrases him because he has the incredible talent. Many fans will still follow his journey. And to think about this coming championship Yuzu will be absent He was the only figure skater that can filled the whole arena. Im too late to follow his journey. But very proud to be a Fanyu to the only King of Ice and Greatest of All Time
honestly whatever he decides, whether it's gonna be continuing to compete for years to come, or retire soon, i will support whole-heartedly, but it will also for sure give me a major heart attack LMAO
Yuzuru Hanyu is like my living inspiration, real time!!! My mental health and well being have greatly improved when i watch his skates the past few years and specially his story is very inspiring, he just wanna make you go outt there and challenge the unknown! once Yuzu retires man i dont know 😭😭😭 i cant even think about it..
I've said this to my fellow Fanyu.. Pleasee Refrain mentioning The Word "R", because Although Yuzu will R are painful truth, many of us, Fanyu believed in Beautifull lies Yuzu will skate Competitively forever.. Until Yuzu announce by Himself, He will R.. Until that moment arrived, let's cherish every moment that we had with him, let's continue to support him, continue to make beautifull memories.. Thank you Yuzu.. Thank you for beautifull skating you'd always bring ❤❤❤❤❤
Onu çok geç buldum erken kaybedeceğim sanırım. Yuuri on ice izlemeye başlamıştım 2019 yılında. Ah yuzu.... Seni geç bulduğum için çok üzgünüm.
If yuzuru retired I'll stop watching FS.. He's the only figure skaters that get me to watch FS and for me it will be meaningless to watch if he's not there to skate.
Whatever happens, whoever comes on ice next, Yuzu will always be the best one!! Cauze sky is the limit for his attraction and the capability to make the onlooker delight and get fascinated or thrilled...
Yuzu has to do what is good for him and what he wants to do. Being selfish I would love him to stay competing until the next olympics, but only of that is in his best interests. Whatever he will decide, he is my GOAT and probably will always be. When he retires I do hope that he will set up a school like Brian Orser's , he would be perfect to coach young talents and make sure artistry and elegance will never leave this sport. Jumps are amazing, but when they are done the Yuzu style its phenomenal. The exhibition Gala performance of Yuzu at olympics 2018 is still the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and it had only 2 jumps.
THX YOU YUZURU HANYU FOR ALL THE INSPIRATION YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO THE FIGURE SKATING COMMUNITY AND YOU'RE LEGACY, WE ARE PROUD OF YOU, AND YOU WILL LONG LIVE IN FIGURE SKATING HISTORY! ❤️❤️❤️, WE ARE SAD YOU HAVE RETIRED BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!
I will definitely go to the hospital cuz I won't be able to breathe but whatever kind of decision he makes for himself is the best for him and I am able to accept, respect and support any kind of decisions he will make🙏🙏❤️and I wish him all the best in life because he is already on top of the world and he will always be the goat which can never be forgotten and replaced 😢
Well edit. Thank you so much. I totally agree with you. I feel lucky that i’m in his era even I wish I could joined sooner. I feel so privilege to be Fanyu. He is not only a wonderful skater but also a wonderful person.
When he does retire ( not in the next few years I hope 🤞)…I will stop following FS…it’s ONLY because of Yuzuru Hanyu that I started to appreciate the sport as he truly embodies it. I tried watching other skaters but I cannot finish their program…it did not connect with me. When Yuzu skates…I can’t take my eyes off him…he’s mesmerizing to watch…you can see and feel his love for skating in all his performances, may it be competitive or not. He is unmatched in this field. His retirement will indeed bring a void to this sport/field. I hope when he does retire, he will still be active in the background. 😊❤️ get well soon Yuzu…we know you miss the ice more than we miss seeing you on it❤️❤️❤️ We will patiently await your return Our Ice Prince 👑
I'm very sad if he retired. But I feel very lucky & happy to be born in the Yuzuru Hanyu era ♥️...He was a very influential figure skating. He've big fans all over the world (I am one of them😍) cause He is so amazing, beautiful, stunning and mesmerizing... I think, I will continue to support whatever Hanyu-san do after he retired. But, Hmmmm 🤔🤔 I Guess Hanyu San will be a coach like coach Brian In the future 😁♥️♥️ ♥️
many fanyu start watching figure skating because of Hanyu, When Hanyu retire, many fanyu like me will never watching figure skating again. There is no other skaters like him do
yuzuru hanyu was the man that made me love the sport sm and it’ll definitely be devastating when he leaves,, when i was just a little kid i watched sochi 2014 and i was captivated by his skating even before i knew who he was . now im a huge fan and i’m happy to be living in the same time as him
I remember watching him for the first time in middle school when he won Olympics in 2014, and still can't forget that program till this day. Everything ends TT
Me lamento tanto haberlo descubierto hace apenas 2 años! 😭😭😭
When HY r-words I wish JSF and ISU a happy bankruptcy😄🙂 and that is on karma for all the injustices done to him. As u said I'll be there as long as he's there. Congratulations for other figure skaters but I'm not strong enough to watch that corrupt sport more than I have to. YH is the only one who's anchoring half of us to this damned place.
Although he is hated by many within skating, he will continue to skate and many in the world will continue to support him. They think they only have fans in Japan, but it's not like that, there are fans where you least expect it. He is the best, it is not for nothing that there are so many people who love him, he transmits so much with his art, he is a complete athlete and artist with good values.
Why would you say "although he is hated by many within skating"? Name one person you know of who hates him. Or name the "many" you talk about. I think you're wrong. I know there are fans of other skaters who say they "hate" him but that's jealousy because their fave doesn't have what he has. I've not heard of anyone of relevance who has said they hate him. What the ISU and JSF have done to him, the unfairness and underscoring and lack of support wasn't done out of hate, it was lack of understanding and a need they had to control him. He was loved and supported by the skating community for many years. But because he stayed at the top for so long they couldn't control him when he became bigger than they were and they didn't know how to handle it. No one had ever had such a career, such a following, such a presence as he has had and they didn't know how to deal with him. They still don't. They want their youngsters that they can control and mold and push forward or pull back as they decide and they never had that with Yuzu. From the moment he entered the senior competitions he was a wild card and a phenomenon and after a year or so there was no one even comparable. He was always at the top. He still is. He didn't peak and fade away like Javier or Patrick or Daisuke. I think they don't understand the power of his immense fan base or the absolute devotion to him that he inspires in people. I think that has been a thorn to this sport for the past ten years that he is The Rockstar of competition figure skating and that a large percentage of his fans don't even care about the sport per se, just him. The powers that be don't want a figure skating rockstar. They don't want someone who stands out so much above the rest. Of course they know that if he's gone he will take most of his fans with him and I doubt they care about that. He is in a different category. There's so much magic left for him to share. He needs to be on the world stage and not letting them extinguish his light. He's better and beyond and he doesn't need anything from them.
@@tonya--7704 I completely agree with you on the awkward situation that exists for Hanyu now. He has so much more influence than his current role as a competitor. If only he would take an ice show abroad so that more fans could see him perform, or at least produce a full length movie of his life and art that we could view and buy. But my other wish is that he would teach and maybe some of his magic would rub off on the next generation, at least for Japan. He just has so many possibilities ahead, so many ways to continue to influence us. (Not even mentioning his one-time thought of becoming a singer)
@@mizu2in I agree but I think he could be even bigger. Like make a deal with a big streaming service not just for Japan but for all over the world and produce 6+ big variety type ice shows a year for pay per view or subscription. He would make millions and the hell with JSF and their using him as a piggy bank to fund their pets. He owes them nothing. His fans wouldn't hesitate to pay to see him in the comfort of their own homes. He could skate and invite his skating and musician friends and do interviews kind of like his Continues With Wings. I have no doubt he would be even more popular than he is now. And we would still have our Yuzu fan places to go to and talk about how much we love his shows and what we hope to see next and he would love having his own live audience to skate for and friends to hang out with. It would be like Galas with invited guests. One guest I would like him to interview would be Ghislaine. I would love to hear him tell Yuzu stories. Happy Yuzu=peace and contentment for all of us who love him.
so meaningful video.. thanks.. cuz of the unfair and non art system from both ISU and JSF, I just want Yuzuru to retire/take rest and do his own performance/show, but If he wants to continue, we will support him unconditionally. #weallsupportYUZURUHANYUforever
I think we all hope the day he retires never comes, I know that may be a little selfish, but Yuzu said it himself- he was born to skate, this is his destiny, he carries so much more than figure skating on his shoulders, he is a beacon of hope, motivation, and happiness to so many people. it will really be a bleak day in history when he decides to hang his skates. Seeing as I just discovered Yuzu a year ago, I have even more selfish reasons to hope he doesn't retire any time soon. I would be cruel of the world to show me something so beautiful and then take it away when I need it most. But hey, he seems pretty determined to not retire anytime soon soo....fingers crossed and all the good in the world to Yuzu.
He is figure skating, the day his retirement is announced it would be the death of me, i'm not kidding. What if I can see that the future of this beautiful sport would be ruined by the manys jumps that the skaters would do and as a consequence the essence of the artistic is lost. I will remain a fan of Yuzu until the last moment and then i will leave hehehe
My heart stopped after reading the title. I am really hoping that he doesn't retire soon I just got to know him the other day and the thought of him retiring after knowing him for less than a week is heartbreaking (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)
I watched this again just now and thought to myself, who could have guessed what Yuzuru had in store for us? Turning pro, having one-man sell-out ice shows, going on TH-cam and on and on. I sure didn't see it coming! I love that he is now able to skate for himself, but also to see for himself how much people in Japan love and admire him. It moves him to tears, happy tears I hope. Happy birthday, GOAT.
The first year after his retirement is 1 A.Y.

If he does not tour - then my plea is to all of the lucky people able to continue to see him skate - send us the footage, I am begging you!! you can find all the official TV broadcasts of his japanese ice shows on planet hanyu if you didn’t know already ;)
I agree.👍👍👍
Wish Yuzuru healthy and happiness.
❤️❤️❤️
I think we’ll have more clips of Yuzuru once he stops competing, because he really goes MIA because he has to practice & focus. He won’t have to train anymore so I think he’ll be more seen & do more activities.
@@cnorm4887 hopefully! Hopefully he ventures into showbusiness or reality shows aside from ice shows so we can see him more!

"Figure skating needs Hanyu."
Fact ⬆️
We can compare the amount of audience in the gp of each station. Gp that Yuzu attended are full of audience, while others dont
I agree 100%! My figure skating interest began with Hanyū-san and will end with him... there really Will be no other like him in my lifetime, from Canada 😑❤
Totally agree✌
Spitting fact 😌
Exactly: the era of skating before Yuzuru and after him! Like in gymnastic: era before Comaneci and after her!!! GOATS!!! 2 athletes who radically changed the history of their discipline sportive!!!
well, now there will be no more pooh rains. this video hurts after watching his press conference
Yuzuru Hanyu is Figure skating: Figure skating is Yuzuru Hanyu.
Don’t fight me. Pooh-san have my back. ><
We are very lucky to have witness the G.O.A.T writing history.
And Yuzuru Hanyu is a legacy that changed figure skating to its finest.
Today, 19/07/2022, he announced his retirement from competitions.
He did say that he will continue to perform, just not competing, so I look forward to more of his brilliant choreography
Your comment aged well
Ice skating will never be the same, because he marked a before and after, he is that special, and one in a million. A lot of people will try to be like him, but what he did and continue doing will never be replaced or come near it. He is art in every way, he is what ice skating is about, the pure representation of ambition, artistry and perfection
The thought of yuzu retiring brings tears to my eyes but we all have to face that there's an end to everything
😭😭😭
😭😭😭
He has just retired
@@donadwaritangkudung9338 I know 😭😭 I'm sad ngl but I still support him obviously
Tell them 🗣🗣
the ISU and JSF don't deserve Yuzuru
Well said.
He wont join world championships anymore? Why?
He’s reason most of us have learned that there’s so much more to figure skating then just being able to do a bunch of jumps.
You forget an important fact: gallas will never be the same without him 🙂 He is so playfull and brings joy and fun on ice, nobody else did that before💖💖💖
Besides...Shoma has very beautiful costumes also!
Well said. Not one in a generation, not one in a life time, not one in 100 years but IRREPLACEABLE!
After all he’s been through and all the injuries he’s suffered, I feel like he knows his body is almost at its limit. He doesn’t deserve to be hurt anymore. I wish he could do ice dancing rather than mens singles, but he loves the sport and I respect that. I just hope he’s okay…
And now he announces his retirement, hope we still support and love him...

Yuzu, just follow your heart and do whatever you want to do!! figure skating isn’t figure skating without yuzuru hanyu
I can't imagine that! THINKING OF HIS RETIREMENT IS MAKING ME CRY
Yuzuru his own represents an era, the best and golden era, in the history of figure skating. Mr Massimiliano Ambesi, this Italian commentator also said in 2021 "as a former skater, I think Yuzuru Hanyu is the best face and testimonial for figure skating, a sport that is not going through the best moment in its history

Hope we can give him pooh rain when he retire. I gonna cry if we still cant do it for him as this is our way to show him love
Hanyu retires ....No Fanyus screaming, no pooh rain...only tears...

I will be devastated when Yuzu retires.
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡YUZURU ÉS LA ESENCIA Y LA EXISTENCIA DEL PATINAJE ARTÍSTICO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I panicked. Without exaggeration, when I saw those videos, I jumped up and down in my house with happiness.”
(As you know, Yuzuru has not been able to practice with his coaches in Canada last 2 years due to the pandemic, but Ghislain was sometimes coaching remotely for his jumps.) In another Japanese article, it was reported that Yuzuru has practiced over and over and tried to jump “4A over one thousand times”.
Just thought that you may be excited to hear about Ghislain’s interview, altho of course it is not all about jumps, and Yuzuru is rather a shining artist. Thank you for all your great videos!!!
yes yes, I found out yesterday, we are very proud of Yuzu🥺
Thanks to you💗

I couldn't watch this when it was uploaded.
I will stop watching figure skating when he retire, he raised the bar for figure skating and cant find a skater like him
I've grown to like figure skating, knowing the jumps and the other skaters so I'll try to stick around after Hanyu retires, but there is no guarantee that I'll continue watching every season.
I don't want to waste my time watching fs without Yuzuru Hanyu, except there is someone who almost the same like him.

Ah yuzu.... Seni geç bulduğum için çok üzgünüm.
If yuzuru retired I'll stop watching FS.. He's the only figure skaters that get me to watch FS and for me it will be meaningless to watch if he's not there to skate.
I absolutely agree with you. Yuzuru Hanyu gives me touched always, forever

I might go back to watching Ice Dance alone! Used to like the ladies but that's another Drama.

He is just so, different.
many fanyu start watching figure skating because of Hanyu, When Hanyu retire, many fanyu like me will never watching figure skating again.
He brought the spot to another level, same with audiences
💖💖💖💖
When HY r-words I wish JSF and ISU a happy bankruptcy😄🙂 and that is on karma for all the injustices done to him. As u said I'll be there as long as he's there. Congratulations for other figure skaters but I'm not strong enough to watch that corrupt sport more than I have to. YH is the only one who's anchoring half of us to this damned place.
Not trying to be mean but yes Iam wishing the same bankruptcy wish too 😅
Although he is hated by many within skating, he will continue to skate and many in the world will continue to support him. They think they only have fans in Japan, but it's not like that, there are fans where you least expect it. He is the best, it is not for nothing that there are so many people who love him, he transmits so much with his art, he is a complete athlete and artist with good values.
he have a big fan in Croatia forever. All of as are blased to live in the same era with him.

I agree but I think he could be even bigger.
@@tonya--7704 Many NC fans hate him, and I don't think they hate him out of jealousy.
so meaningful video.. thanks.. cuz of the unfair and non art system from both ISU and JSF, I just want Yuzuru to retire/take rest and do his own performance/show, but If he wants to continue, we will support him unconditionally. #weallsupportYUZURUHANYUforever
𝓜𝔂 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓲𝓼😍😍😍😍😍
The King forever!!
He's like 1 in a million chances to be born in an era and bring such greatness. Glad to live in a time exisitng with him 😭
I think we all hope the day he retires never comes, I know that may be a little selfish, but Yuzu said it himself- he was born to skate, this is his destiny, he carries so much more than figure skating on his shoulders, he is a beacon of hope, motivation, and happiness to so many people. it will really be a bleak day in history when he decides to hang his skates.
I don't want to think about it 😭😭😭😢
I know for a fact i will bawl my eyes out when he retires. What a genius, completely different level
Well, this happened. Well predicted.
I am really hoping that he doesn't retire soon I just got to know him the other day and the thought of him retiring after knowing him for less than a week is heartbreaking
