It’s been a while since K-pop idols have gotten caught up in a pickle regarding AI-generated edits and deepfake videos of them on the internet, and the issue seems to have gotten worse, as per the latest developments.
In the recent few days, many K-Pop fans have brought to attention a “disturbing” new trend on social media involving a different kind of AI-generated content. Instead of deepfakes that superimpose the faces of idols onto the bodies of other people, these edited videos are created out of still pictures.

When do people have the time to do this. This is totally not acceptable as this can ruin reputation of humble honest people. This needs to stop and be punished ASAP

Yes Just few days ago a youtuber shared a post and there He/she took two pictures of Hyunjin and Felix and then added some kind of features of AI fake Kissing app where it looked like that they both were kissing but actually they were not. And another day I remember I saw some reel where the pictures of Enhypen Jungwon and Some other Kpop Idol of some girl Group were edited and it looked like they were kissing but really they were not.
This AI thing is crazily dangerous. Well it's not dangerous when people are using it with good intentions. I personally suggest that AI kissing app must be banned or take any other restrictions so that the makers of this app doesn't need to get in trouble.

This is definitely sexual and it's also a misuse of someone's image. Not only is it disgusting, it's also against the law. I don't know how people think it's alright to do something like,just because they are celebrities doesn't mean you have every right. Also the double standard because they are male is not alright, imagine if a guy did that with a female celebrity or of the image of the fans doing that. It's mostly teenagers they have too much more time on their hands & are obsessed with their phones, the latest trends, tic tok & other platforms. Two 14yr old girls made fake a tel call using clips of Felix & Hyunjin voices. Then started hating on the supposed idols. Their are a few trouble makers that I've come across spouting hate at me just bcos i didn't agree with her comments.
AI is getting crazy! why can't people be more mature and act their age? Imagine being the idol and seeing those fake videos! It must hurt so much! If someone here does that you should stop!! The people who makes that sort if stuff aren't considered part of the (group name)'s fandom! Agencies need to do something about these people. I don't know what's gonna happen in the future, but let's hope our next generation is better then this one

Sometimes honey there are some extremely good fake ones and it can be rather difficult to tell, unless you're very computer minded in that way, which most of us aren't.

I’m glad that people are taking it seriously and not just brushing it off as no big deal. It’s always been a big deal whether the person is famous or not. I can’t see where this usage of AI can be used for anything other than nefarious reasons.
There needs to be a precedent for things like this to be met with defamation charges. It’s not a fun little fanfic or oneshot or whatever- these people are creating fake videos using [idol/celebrity name]’s face without their knowledge or consent. Fake videos that could EASILY ruin their reputation, careers, etc. if seen in the wrong light. It’s not just having fun or freedom of speech- they are using someone else’s identity without their consent, and all for stuff like bs bragging rights and clout. I truly, truly hope a legal precedent is made for things like this before it becomes a widespread trend… it’s just not okay.

It's insane what these "fans" are doing to some idols using I.A. They know that kind of attitude can cause to idols image, but they don't care at all.
I wouldn't call it sexual harassment but it's definitely creepy and concerning,especially with ai getting more and more hard to distinguish from reality. It's OK to fantasise there should be more regulations. Personally I also find audio ai very disturbing.

I have noticed an increase of this kind of AI videos showing male idols kissing each other recently (Hyunlix, for example). This is really concerning
i saw one with hyunjin. it actually disgusted me of how real it was. luckily, the stays were smart enough to know it was fake, since it was a picture from one of hyunjins instagram post.
