It is this versatility many airlines are choosing the A220, enabling them to utilize one aircraft type for their short and medium haul network. Likewise, it helps traditional regional-only airlines open/expand into new medium haul markets, or vise versa. In other words, A220 opens up more point-to-point small market network connections with its 6300km range.
A new Indian airline has ordered the a220 along with an embraer passenger jet .. Lets see if other Indian airlines also go for the a220. In my opinion , it would be a game changer for the smaller airports like how the a320 (indiGo) changed the domestic aviation scene of India ... Interesting times ahead !
@@PujanPatel001 ye, Spicejet on the 737's while Indigo on A320's While I do feel that 737 started off proper domestic flights within India, after flying for nearly a decade in India, I feel that it is the A320 (especially the neo variants) that can revolutionize Indian Aviation
@@ConcordeError404 yes, you're partially correct. 737s were popular initially with Jet Airways flying them for domestic routes. Later, a320s came and there was no going back from that. IndiGo, GoAir, Air India all operated the a320 family in big numbers. They turned out to be much more economical and cost efficient for those airlines and that's why they kept increasing it's numbers. At the moment, a320s are like 3 times the 737s operational here.

Ideally, I wish every Airbus A220 series was assembled at Mirabel in Quebec [I'm a Canadian] but a deal is a deal and I am sure that Mobile will assemble A220s as well as those being assembled at Mirabel. It truly is a global aircraft and the more places of assembly means the more Airbus technical skills can be spread around the world. Had a Canadian carrier shown as much faith in the A220 as Delta did at the beginning, perhaps Mobile would have never happened but then again, perhaps Airbus would not be in the picture either and it would still be known as the Bombardier C-series? The marriage of Airbus and the C-series aircraft will sell many more of these planes around the world.

i dont like that the plane has 2 seats on one side and 3 on the other i think it would be better if it was 2 seats on every side. maybe that could be for the a210?
