You’re becoming one of my favorite content creators, no bullshit, no click bait and some steezy riding. Hopefully there are more opportunities for you to grow the channel.
frix is such a joy to watch. that og tempo edit had such good audio and i think that’s what set it apart from the rest. commencal just has so many fire edits.
I don't have any insider info, but if you roll up to any of the bigger amateur dh races in the US (NW Cup/Monster pro etc) you will see it is probably the most common bike there so they are definitely selling a good amount of DH bikes compared to other brands (I have a supreme v5). This only seems to relate to the supreme as I haven't seen many metas at the enduro races nor would I choose any of their single crown bikes as my race bike.
Videos like these keep the Mtb industry alive fr. Good takes Imagine Sam Hill on a modern bike back in his prime. It’s dope his run was on 26” narrow bars and tiny frames, showed off more body English. Made the races more interesting tbh. Be worth it all if he podiums even once this season.
Question, i believe is asked but differing side: Reach, How else should we dissect Reach numbers, what else influences it and what other geo can change to help short & long reach? For example, The Merida - It's a bit special as it doesnt ride like a 498mm reach bike, 64HTA, 437 CS, 625stack(this is actually higher on the Carbon model) I've had issues in the past With reaches around 475-480 with longer CS, I feel like i get pushed over the front when on steep terrain(the reign E+ seems like a weird exception, that bike rides good) - I've tried all sorts of bikes over the last 5 years(had access to industry discounts and Long term demo's.) Transition updated the sentinel in a good way with listening to Customer feedback but They made the chainstay long and now it feels lazy.(I borrowed a friends one for a week, which its for sale now as he doesnt like it for the exact reason of saying its lazy and the rear end feels like it gets left behind)
Honestly staying slightly guarded with a longer form video laying out everything with my geometry philosophy. I have put in a lot of time and work over the past decade to learn what I have and to hand that out on the internet for brands to see for free doesn't feel quite right. Would love to come to market with a bike or partner with a brand that embodies what I have learned.
wonder if the new tempo power creaks and flex's like the analog v5's. I've ridden all 3 and the SX is the only one that doesnt flex like a noodle every corner.
Question: Do you think reach has gone too far? I buy into your long chain stay propaganda and the concept of reach/chainstay ratio, but good god a size large bike with a 480 reach and a 445/450 chainstay is a fucking boat. The first bike I spent decent amounts of time on was a large gen 1 bronson, which at the time felt comfy. What do you think about decreasing reach down to allow for that better reach/chainstay ratio while keeping the modern slack headtube, lower bb, and 29ers. Thinking bringing a large down to a 460 reach for example. I know you can size down, but conceptually knowing what the bike companies think you should buy given your height.
In short yes. I’ve been brainstorming about a bike pretty similar to what you’re saying. Just finished the Bronson v2 vs v5 shootout pt 2 on a gnarlier trail and we had some interesting findings close to this
At 6’2” and hopping back into mtb from before droppers and 27.5 existed I went pretty quickly through frames from mediums all the way through large, XL and finally landing on longer pipedream moxie full sus 510mm reach, I’m all torso so reach feels spot on, feels so stable compared to the tiny 26” bikes I used to ride but it also does indeed feel like a yacht sometimes.its almost like rattling down hills on a motorbike. Won’t even bother trying to bunny hop sometimes it’s so long. Struggle to wheelie it plus its steel so it weighs as much as an SL eeb lol
Brian, What size 5 Tens do you where? Any interest in a pair of OG High-top Impacts? I was surprised Loris didn't leave Trek earlier. When you watch Sara from Pinkbike interview with Vali it adds context. My take on what Vali had issues with was. That the Trek support members was as though the work on the team was secondary to what their daily job was.
Who do you guys think have the possibility to get Brandon Semenuk out of TREK I think he was one of the athletes who get treated really well by his sponsors, I see him like Cam McCaul because he never leaved TREK
Thanks for the kind words!!!
Degenerates unite!
I’d rock a pair of Cahills. 👟
bruh that actually sounds like a brand

we love this far from weekly weekly ish!
So tru about that og Tempo edit, I was hovering over the "Buy Now" button half way through the edit
I didn't hover it was an auto buy I blacked out didn't even know what happened
Curious how Commencal does financially. Great results at the races, but notoriously bad with warranties.
Smoke and mirrors. They suck ass

@@DasRightfortyforfo fair enough! The only people I know who ride Commencal frames would race at least once a year. But that was a few years ago

remi's real mtb was a let down but this new edit of his gives me hope that he will continue his rise to the top of mtb
Yes, so many great joe barnes videos have been lost. Have to get onto him
Another shoe company picking up Sam Hill for a signature model to launch at hardline would have been a stroke of genius
like those vids and news. thx brother
Good Mtb news 📰 update bro 😎

Question, what are your thoughts on FMD moving to Orbea when they don’t even have a proper DH bike
wonder if the new tempo power creaks and flex's like the analog v5's.

The link to the second channel isn't there, just a link to TH-cam.
Meanwhile ppl reading this, it's linked on his profile link section.

Interesting. I’m a size 9.5 or 10. Id happily rock a set of high top impacts haha
Blood, Sweat & Trails: Anastasis Anastasiou
love that video
Wtf Koen head was in a dudes of hazard video
Are you still going to try Lewis brakes?
Been trying them but the e bike is in the shop with a bad motor so the review is delayed a bit

It’s Hugo Frixtalon not Frixton… could at least say it right if you’re hyping him up
