Henson doesn't realize how cool he really is he's cooler than the other side of the pillow. He just walks up to the colt and says here put this on. And they just do it. He's the James Dean of cowboys.

Yes, but there's more to it. A lot of it is Quarter Horse blood. Even as foals they want to please and these foundation foals are very smart. Henson also does a GREAT job.

Here we go…Henson giving his views abt being’ a smooth operator in all matters of love and dating 🤭 I’ll never forget the rodeo you were running barrels in and he was hilarious. I loved it, I’ve saved it and I’m gonna use it episodically through my teenage daughters life to tell her about how the male views a cute little filly lol! Your husband is a gem and he is certainly one of a kind🤠 done in a very tongue-in-cheek manner. I had no idea what a character and comedian he was till that night and I’m hoping it keeps comin’.
I love the way the dog thinks he's assisting in the efforts. I like Henson's approach to training. Calm and patient
snapping and barking any ones stock by a non working dog needs to be stopped quick.

Henson is a funny cowboy, great at giving those colts confidence.
Henson has a "Horse Whisperer" way with the foals. A little pressure just where and when needed. He is a joy to watch handling the horses. 💘 🐎 GSD's 🇺🇸 Lincoln is trying to help by herding the foals however the 2nd one wasn't liking that any. Good try fella.

Wow! Henson is needed here OR I need to bring my 'babies' (no so little any more) to you guys! Adopted/rescued from kill pen - only haltered once each so far (my bad - Mom needs me more just now) and I'm no spring chick! Looking forward to spending time with them very soon. Now, they are on pasture with other rescues - growing onery, fat and sassy - so much better than the thin, sick, poor things they were. Thanks for sharing - I'm hoping to be "Henson cool" with my yearlings very soon.

That "smart" foal with the white diamond face was quite a different personality, you handled him perfectly.

@@PaintedDesertRanch i don't know Danielle i didn't mean to disrespect yr cowboy life. Unfortunately i was raised in a town where i couldn't have animals but a dog. I would have loved to been able to have a farm and horses. Now that I'm 69 I'm preying everyday that god gives me a chance soon. 🙏 God Bless

The 2nd colt was really smart. I like the way that Hanson catches the foals. Very smooth and easy going. These colts will learn quite a lot from Hanson.

WOW, lovely bay colt.
I really like him using the "bat" (training stick) for desensitization. It keeps him safe and is, in my opinion, the only way to start foals and untrained horses to protect the trainer. This is a BEAUTIFUL little blue foal.

I bet the first two were Blue Valentine Colts absolutely stunning even though it was a year ago I would love a Blue Valentine Filly ❤ The next little colt was a sweetie he is gonna make someone a great horse ❤ All J ❤ Quarter Horses are quality stock that’s for sure .

I have to agree, one of the top 10. Watching Henson handle the colts should be required training for all would be trainers. Slow, steady and smooth.

We have about 60 foals a year, all of the 2021 foals have sold. We are taking deposits on 2022 foals now 2750-5000
Lots of babies moved in October to their new owners 🛻🐴 Less babies on the ranch, less bodies to feed during the hard winter months. I wonder why some ranches, say Babbitt, sell their foals in summer and deliver them next spring, considering the feeding cost?
