  • In this video I talk about a problem I had with immigration and the Certificate of Residency I got approved for, and also some coffee shipment problems I encountered here in Thailand. It's always something!

Can you share the make/model of air fryer you ordered. Also can you share the coffee brand you talked about? Also is your Keurig 110v or 220v and do you use a converter?

The air fryer is the Typhur Dome, you can find it on Amazon. It’s pricey, but check out the reviews. I can put 36 chicken wings in it, it’s extremely quiet, and cooks fast. My Keurig is 110V, but I use a converter that I got on Lazada. I also power the air fryer on the converter, because it’s also 110V. As for the coffee, the one that got lost that I loved was Donut Shop original medium roast coffee, and the one I buy now that’s a lot cheaper is found on the iHerb website and is called BareOrganics Energizing coffee with Superfoods, medium roast. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

We all share your frustration especially when you are used to being dialed in and on time in your previous world. Just remember TIT!....This is Thailand and I don't mean that sarcastically i just smile and roll with it. Have a great day.

Thank you, yes I’m trying to get used to that reality.

I hate to say it but there is one other facet of the Thai social system you might be aware of is losing face especially around their bosses and after getting everyone involved about the package and swearing up and down they don't have it then finding it later that day I guarantee it will be thrown in the trash to save face. There are probably a few people that would do a 360 and admit they found it. They can be so sweet but saving face is a part of their upbringing I can't understand but choose not to make an issue about it. I am not painting all thais with the same brush.

Yes, losing face is a frustrating concept, especially with my Thai wife who will never admit she’s wrong. lol

You're right Greg that is one thing we put up with and it's funny that it can be so small and insignificant they still do it. I was at Black Canyon at the mall in Hua Hin and the waitress was seating us and I politely asked her if she could wipe the table because there was clearly a bump of something that looked sticky and after closer inspection the waitress in perfect English said it was just the woodgrain of the table and my wife gave me the stink eye as the waitress walked away and my wife agreed with her since they don't like confrontation. I reached across the table and looked in her eyes as I gently took her hands in mine and pulled the bottom of her hands across the stickiness and brought them to my lips for a small kiss then winked at her. Talk about getting hit with a velvet hammer she pulled them back with a knowing smirk and proceeded to clean her hand and the table without another word. I thought Gotcha!
