My aunt think this way, I have a lot of family in Burma. I think it’s racist and a very cruel way of thinking. If some people do crime, that fault doesn’t fall on the entire population. I hear the arguments, they don’t want to learn our language, they don’t want to integrate into society, they make it unsafe etc..which are all the same arguments peoples have used against immigrants, ethnic minorities, religious minorities etc..since the time og dawn.

Why don't any of them speak the Burmese language if they claim to be one of the 135 ethnic groups of Myanmar & want citizenship. All other ethnic people speak the native Burmese language beside their own language. The language they speak is of Bangladesh & not of Myanmar. If they want citizenship they need to start learning the Burmese language & send their kids to Burmese schools.

Yes the language they speak is similar to Bengali but that doesn't mean they are Bengali/Bangladeshi people. We don't claim them. The language they speak is different from which we speak, there's lots of change in accent, words and grammer etc. Just because they speak a language somewhat similar to Bengali doesn't mean they are bengalis and Bangladesh should take their responsibilities. We are poor but try to develop our nations.
Rohinghy people do not have any political leader only they have only religious faith. As they have no political power , they are facing genocide since 1948 (Bangladesh was not existed that time!).
Relief camps are reaching full capacity as thousands of Rohingya refugees continue to pour into Bangladesh fleeing violence in western Myanmar. Rohingya refugees have been settling in Bangladesh, with an estimated 6,00,000+ refugees in Bangladesh as of 2017.
In these scenarios, we do not accept / provide citizenship to Rohinghy people (it is does not matter that he is a Muslim or Hindu). We (Bangladeshi) consider on humanity but we have no extra feelings for faith cousins.
Why would Bangladesh give citizenship to people from MyAnmar?
