@@florenna Please present one true forest finn in Värmland Sweden with finnish language skills. Last speakers died 1970's. The comment was about forest finn culture. They spoke ancient savo dialect of the 1600-1800th century.

Pitches and melodies differ in every farm and with every housewife (i'm not sure about the right translation, hostess?). Women can make higher pitch, so they usually call the herd to drink/eat or to the barn. Higher pitch carries better above fields and water.
I'm intrigued because my dad ,sister, mom and myself have the brown hair and eyes. My other 3 siblings got the fair skin blond eyes and blond hair. But my mom's hair was blond till she grew up.
I find it hard to believe swedes lost all knowledge of how to build houses with wood and little else. Was doing nothing but farming for hundreds of years really to blame?

My mom's side my great great great grandpa was Matt Kahkonen who was last on that side to live in Finland Oulu I think
