- Located in a gated community in the Surya Vihar township in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, this minimalistic home binds the residences of two brothers through a central courtyard.
The design philosophy revolves around familial connection. This connection is explored through courtyard, and an open plan layout that transcends boundaries between the two houses.
The two homes have a distinct character that is unveiled at the entrance of each home. While one home boasts of a black staircase, the other has a white one creating a stark contrast.
The clean lines, monochromatic palette, and wooden tones harmoniously sit together to create a sense of calmness. The use of indigenous materials and Scandinavian inspired furniture lends a timeless character.

The courtyard with a central tree and a water body inspired by the step wells of Rajasthan are two key elements space of this house. The architect walks through the house giving an insight into various zoning strategies he used to arrive at the design of this family home.

Jab mai khud ke liye ghar banungi to kuch ese ho space courtyard type ghar banungi.....mujhe ese space hi space wale ghar bahut acche lagte hain....I am from Raigarh Chhattisgarh aur mere yaha to purane jamane ke gaao style me Ghar hai bich me आंगन चारों ओर से कमरे bane hain aur samne me garden ghar ke pichhe सब्जी वाली बाड़ी mere parents ko apne gaao jamin se jude rahna pasand hai to गांव style me ghar bana hai....par ye style accha laga 😊

Beautiful, use of marble was beautiful, especially the tabletop, though acids corrode stones so marble flooring in the washrooms will corrode and would need to be changed every few years (as they turn yellow instead of white).
I keep seeing this water courtyards. While it looks nice but difficult to maintain and attracts pests
You only need a protein skimmer it's never going to get dirt.

The house looks like jail with this Color scheme and staircase is a big risk with marble and no railings. There’s a difference between simplicity and boring.

Never seen such shit and sloppy work ....absolutely no finishing and bad execution. literally executed the viewers. Bhai pani mein CHAP CHAP karne se kaam accha nahi hota ...workers ke saath khade rehke kaam karana padta hai.
It's a society where minimal changes where allowed. And with that construct.. interiors are great. Don't say when you don't know the whole story.
