    Ok, i did a drain and fill on my zf6hp19 with the valvoline. I had a 4-5 flare before i did it and it seemed to fix that for me. No more ZF fluid for me, only Valvoline max life. I have a lot of miles on the car. Changed fluid and pan @ 150k miles with ZF and drove 90 K with flare if pushed hard it would flare so i just drove it easy for the 90 K to prevent it flaring. Drain and fill with Valvoline @ 240k. ZF fluid is about 5 times more expensive also

    This dude is stating 100% correct information here in this video! I have been a auto tech for many ,many years and I don’t mean MIDAS MUFFLER ! A VERY BUSY TRANSMISSION SHOP ! They don’t give a rats ass about the base oil ! Or what manufacturer vehicle you are driving! No matter what transmission shop they all purchase a bulk base and shit loss of different “ TOP TREATS “ FACTS ! And this person isn’t just selling his product which happens to be probably the best fluid or motor oil on the market ! He is telling you the truth ! Shit … IDC …WHAT PEOPLE SAY , 80% of the time customers were lucky 🍀 if they even received the trans filter they paid for ! Just another FACT ! FYI .. SO PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS GOING ON YOUR CAR as it’s being serviced. If anyone wants to thank me don’t ! Thank this fella who did this video.

    Know what year each manufacturer changed its specification and cannot be covered by a multi-player vehicle ATF.(?)
    Make sure the bottle on the shelf EXACTLY matches the spec for your specific make!

    Hello, do you recommend using the Valvoline MaxLife ATF fluid that meets the Mercon LV specification on a 2010 Ford Fusion 2.5 (Duratec) 2010?

    • @lightningsmokerXx
      @lightningsmokerXx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Funny thing about Valvoline Maxlife Transmission Oil , it meets both Mercon V & Mercon LV according to Valvoline.
      Which is very strange, because Mercon V is a thicker fluid & Mercon LV is a thinner fluid.
      So i wonder how they can say they meet the spec for both.

      Dang now I gotta call back Victory Lane to double check what Transmission Fluid they used. victorylane.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/vl-transmission-fluid-specifications.pdf Civilization is Sensitive. The worker said it's for GM cars and receipt says "Synthetic AutoTrans Fld" - so must be the first option. OK I'll call them. Fine. He wouldn't answer my question directly - just said it was "Global Specs" transmission fluid from Kendall and he uses it in his GM that requires a Dexron VI and it works fine. Yeah but.. ANSWER the question! haha. Kendall has three different kinds and he would not say which one. He led me to believe it is the correct one but I'm still not sure. Ah Auto shops - they are snarky to be sure. OK he said it's good for Audi. So I search Kendall Synthetic Auto transmission fluid for audi and get the correct one!:
      Kendall® VersaTrans ATF is a premium-quality, synthetic blend transmission fluid specially designed for use in automatic transmissions
      in most passenger cars and light trucks. It has been extensively
      field-tested for use in most North American vehicles and in a wide
      variety of European and Japanese vehicles.

    i had a 2000 buick lesabre that used Dexron 3, which is different than Dexron 6...They used to say not to use Dexron 6.....But now they now say the Dexron 6 is backwards compatible and its OK.....How can this be? Thanks Willie

    • @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom
      @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dexron 6 was always backwards compatible with all previous Dexron products, and recommended for use in all GM automatic transmissions that used any Dexron fluid. Dexron 6 fluid will provide you with better fuel economy and improved cold weather performance. If you use a premium full-synthetic version of Dexron 6, you can also extend service intervals as well. I highly recommend it.

    Can i use in my Honda accord 2008 v6 amsoil ATF fluid? Thay say in Honda manual book only Honda Z1 fluid do not mix with another fluid can cost damage transmission!!!

    • @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom

      AMSOIL Multi-Vehicle ATF (product code ATF) meets the Honda/Acura Z1 spec. AMSOIL Fuel-Efficient ATF (product code ATL) meets the newer Honda/Acura DW-1 spec, but it can also be retrofitted into older transmissions that called for Z1 fluid.

    Does AMSOIL have a synthetic equivalent to the ATF WS that fit a 2006, Generation II, Prius?

    • @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom
      @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AMSOIL Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid is recommended to replace WS fluids. It is available in OE (product code OTL) and Signature Series (product code ATL) formulations. The Signature Series will last much longer and is what I always use and recommend. www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/?zo=1302686

    So basically you are saying that any fluid labeled dex/merc will ruin a transmission?

    • @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom
      @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. If blended properly, a single ATF can meet several specifications (take a look at AMSOIL ATF, for example). But cheaper fluids that probably don't meet any specification are lurking on shelves of many gas stations / quick shops and can cause big problems. Most newer cars require a lower viscosity ATF to get better fuel economy, and the older fluids aren't interchangeable with the newer fluids.

    I have a 2013 Subaru Impreza Base, 2.0L (normally aspirated) with CVT. I wanted to try Amsoil Synthetic CVT fluid so I checked with Subaru of America about compatibility. They said, "For the CVT fluid, we only recommend the use of genuine Subaru CVT transmission fluid." This tells me that Subaru believes that Amsoil CVT does not exactly meet all the specific fluid requirements of my CVT. Do you have any additional information that would show that Amsoil CVT fluid does indeed meet the vehicle specific CVT fluid requirements?
    Thanks.
    Doug

    • @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom
      @Best-Synthetic-Oilscom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      AMSOIL recommends their CVT fluid for your vehicle. Subaru will always recommend only their fluids - it helps them make more money. AMSOIL stands behind their recommended products with their full warranty, so nothing to worry about. Thanks for asking!

      AMSOIL CVT is recommended for the following Subaru CVT specs: Subaru e-CVTF, i-CVTF, Lineartronic® CVTF, K0425Y0710, CV-30

      Transmission was designed to work with the OEM fluid..not a 3rd party aftermarket company's atf.

    • @AS-tt8ui
      @AS-tt8ui 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stick with OEM fluid. Yes, Subaru wants to make money but so does Amsoil. Its impossible to make a fluid that meets the "exact specs" as designed for many different transmissions. Amsoil makes a fluid that is "close to" as many different vehicle specs as possible. Friction modifiers and other additives AS DESIGNED for your transmission are more important than the fact that the fluid is synthetic or not. Just change OEM fluid more often.
