I don't know if there's any "right" or "wrong" here, it was an experiment. The one thing I do think is that their voices and singing styles are very different and that may have affected the outcome. But good on them for trying it.
Personally, I don't think it was fair to either singer, both of which had potential. It was simply a way for Delta to avoid making a difficult decision...which is part of being a judge. As a result, neither singer got the mentoring they deserved.
Jenie is like an angel, her tone of voice is so cute, the connection she makes with the songs is unique, she is definitely perfect. Jenie is a solo star.

I feel bad for the guy because he’s coming from a band with his 4 mates, however, he wanted to go solo in his music career. Thats when Delta makes him into a duet with another teammate and so he pretty much left his band to go on The Voice to jump from one band to another group.

The other was he literally had to completely change his genre. I LOVED Matt's rock version where we got to hear the different tones of his voice and his originality. He sounded way more livelier and I totally wanted to jam to that.
I would definitely have decided for Matt and would have preferred hearing him alone further in the competition. I like his voice and tone a lot better.

I dont like her stage clothes her clothes were so good in the first performances, but she changed her style in the other performances. I hope she use her creativity and not fallow the trend to look a certain way. But find her own style and performances.

Brilliant decision to put them together for the battle and pull them out of their comfortzone, but very, very bad decision to make them a duet!! For Janie it might have been a very good experience, but for Matt this wasn't the right choice. He's a rockstar and a frontman, and to force him in this teeth-crackingly sweet concept with a matching honeydripping name was almost a sin. Delta might as well had him castrated...! I really hope that he took this experience, learned a lot from it, had some fun and a positive experience (Janie was really great and a lovely person after all!) and I hope that he comes back next year to do it right...!! 😊👍
From a singers point of view. I honestly think it was an experiment / experience. Having their different styles and vocals blend together, would be interesting to hear.
Two nice young people who had different lanes; nothing was chosen with ill intent but it was too quickly for them to organically morph into a polished duo.
I wish we had the possibility to see the whole episodes of a show (with subtitles) no matter which country we live in. Can't you make that possible? Or cooperate with Netflix or something to stream all countries everywhere? 😉
I'm just gonna come out and say that, they both consented to be a duo. So there's no reason for you to hate Delta for pairing them. All Delta did was give them a suggestion. Is it unfair for the other judges, maybe. Did he not get a chance to showcase himself as a solo, yes. But they made that decision, and we should respect them for that.
I think they could sound really good as a duo I just think it was hard for them to adjust so fast and try to find a balance. They have been singing their own ways for so long that it’s just hard to find their sound when together u know? But idk they still sound pretty good 🤷🏻♀️ when changing how u sing and learning to sing with someone else u have to kinda get in a state of mind where u forget everything before and try to learn from the beginning how to sing with someone else.
