At 0:28 the collision happens between CC and fan... at 0:29 an Ohio State BB player (with bun at back center of hair) immediately came rushing from the pack toward CC (at 9 o'clock from CC in video)... at 0:31 the Ohio State player stops near CC as one of the first people there to help... a fraction of a second later (still at 0:31) a fat man directly behind the Ohio player, wearing the red vest, grabbed the Ohio State player from behind and (extremely without exaggeration or warning) shoved her away causing the Ohio State player to struggle to keep from falling to floor... at 0:33 she regains balance and stands firmly starting to point at the fat man (probably saying something like, "he just tried to shove me to the floor!")... If ANYTHING was uncalled for, it was the fat man in the red vest's manhandling of the Ohio State player there to help and show CC support (and I'm a University of Iowa fan -- h/t to the Ohio State player for her civility and immediate concerns!!) 💯
I’m said “fat man” and for your information I was running to the tunnel to form a line protecting the Iowa players but that was broken up with the fans storming the court. In that moment I saw the collision and ran to assist Clark, didn’t notice it was one of our student athletes until afterwards. I thought it was a fan running up to her. My job was to protect the Iowa players and get them off the court.
CC was not hammered. It was a glancing blow and her hands were up around her chest. More FLOP than anything. I think she even saw the fan coming and expected the fan to change course instead of changing course herself.

all i can say is WOW! women college basketball have really come a long way, just a few years ago, schools was offering free tickets to women games, now people are complaining about the fans rushing the floor, when they should be humble that there are anyone at the games to be able to rush the court., the WNBA is thinking, that they wish they had that problem.
I thought the same. In the past you could make a few coaches and players combined that were advancing womens college basketball in a positive direction and right now off top I could name at least 10 coaches and 10 players without thinking much on it who are helping to advance womens college basketball in a positive direction. And not every arena sells out but if you look at teams who get good attendance the list is much larger than it used to be
