If its ok with you, would you be interessted in making a video about skill fruits and comparing them to eachother? It could be a series where each video you test out the skills of each element and compare. Im deep into the breeding and have strong pals, but havent used any skill fruits to optimize them. I dont wanna waste them unnecessarily, so some pointers and ideas to use would be appreciated.
Chillet is a great leveling pal. Its got a really low level saddle and is one of the first pals to give + damage to player attack. About the only thing it really competes with is Univolt for an early + damage mount for leveling. 100% worth picking one up and might be worth dumping some decent passives into it but until endgame I didn't 4 star mine. If you have been keeping up on the leaks, apparently they are going to introduce a Fire Chillet. If it holds to the chillet archetype then a low-level + fire damage pal is going to be almost mandatory to level with, especially if they don't nerf vine tech. already looking forward to the update.
Another thing to keep in mind too is that while he probably is needed for ultra raid to be doable at base numbers... theres a pretty legit chance that some of the new pals coming out will outmode him so it's something to keep in mind as well. I really wish they had a flying version of him OR they had a better combat dragon though. this does lead to a thought though. for jormuntide ignis do you think it'd be better to make him a pal damage dragon pal if you wanted on for your party that wasn't a gunner one where you give him divine dragon but give him the 4 kelpsea ignis anyway since they'd still boost his attack but w/ a divine dragon one he'd basically do dragon damage despite the lack of a dragon type booster directly? He'd especially be good for shadowbeak boss because he's half fire and thus doesn't actually die to ice and would be really good vs necromus for the same reason (paladius uses ice moves which he'd conveniently cuck) giving him that as an additional utility he'd have vs dark types relying on ice to counter dark pals for the pal damage side of things. I just was thinking about that w/ how many jormuntides id been breeding up both for the base and for combat esp now that jormuntide ignis finally can get emperor skills and legend. Still wish he could fly but what can ya do?
As far as a better dragon type. Quivern could be better for dark bosses with divine dragon bc of its partner skill that also enhances dragon attacks. J Tide is ok, has a really good heath pool but lacks on damage and defense compared to something like blazamut, but there is something to be said that now it can be breed and a lot quicker than Blazamut for fire. Being that j tide fire enhances fire. its not really worth it to but dragon attack buffs on him when there are better things to breed for to get said dragon attacks. If you are going for damage output, you could breed up a Frost Noct with divine dragon and put dragon attacks on that. You'll be doing my more damage, and be taking less damage for dark bc of her being dark as well. then bosst with Hoos. There are a lot of way to go about building pals. Not much you can go wrong with. Except the raid VS Ultra. That is a very hard boss to fight and very little to choose from if you want to do that 900,000 damage plus when she re-heals after switching to ice.
@@GamingFanatic-bx7fl Well here's the thing for dragon damage... there's no hoocrates or foxcicle style boost for dragon. as quivern is a pure dragon type it would have no way to get those bonuses. as the riding power has been nerfed to 20%, having the 4 kelpsea ignis boosting jormuntide's attack and just having him use dragon attacks is gonna be way more damage than using quivern who can't use those attack boosts. you rather have 20% more damage off quivern or 80 off the kelpsea? its a damn big difference. while frosty noct can learn dragon moves, it'd not get stab on those dragon moves so I believe j ignis should still do more damage due to this n dragon resists dark too so defensively the types fine for this. that said soon as we get either pals that boost dragon directly or a better pal that i can ride for dragon pal damage this'd get outmoded but i mean... i have to breed so many ignis for the base to upgrade em, for the combat etc i may as well while making so many go ahead and do one dragon damage one too while I'm stuck getting so much fusion fodder anyway
@@vgpharaoh1344 My Frost Noct is putting out 3777 attack power with all the boosters and she is not even 100 ivs on attack. I dont like to use the j-tide for fire b/c blazamut is better, i dont want to use him for dragon bc he is a fire pal primarily. and yes the lack of a dragon booster is not great. but for the raid " while using base pals , you cant use partner skills bc they need to be in party for that to work. That why a lot of people are using jetragons bc you can boost anyway. i have well over 1000 hours in this game and have breed 2440 jets and 2330 of blazamuts alone. i have done a lot of testing on pals and a better dragon pal for dragon damage is just to gobfin stake with a chillet. Your damage will out pace any pal in the line up hands down but its like i said. you can use anything you want and make it as good as you want to be. ive ran thrue all the tower bosses in less than 15m with a Lifmunk and an AR. you play how you want to. im just here to give my opinion and the facts about palworld to the best of my ability. if i get something wrong i correct my self an let ppl know what the right thing is. thats all i do.

But yeah I imagine if you don't care about blowing ammo the chillet does better. That said was blazamut better damage output for fire even w/ a lower base attack? I'm sure it'd be better bulk wise though esp w/ the new changes making the boss do more damage that does matter more as well. I'd think j ignis with stab would probably do better than a dragon frosty noct though since stab makes a pretty big difference but that is something to consider. I really wish they'd drop us a pal that boosted dragon damage directly though. Deffo chillets probably the outright strongest for dragon damage esp as dragon moves... kinda aren't very strong surprisingly? There aren't a lot of them as I look into it with high power outside sig moves which really sucks. kinda makes dark pals really potent rn
@@vgpharaoh1344 Yeah if they added a dragon booster pal. a lot of the dragon pals would be up there with damage output. will have to see if they add them tho in the summer. and ill messaround with the j tide. i did a VS blazabut video a bit ago. so i have one to test. but it will be awhile as i have other things in the making ATM.
Love Chillet he's just a squishy long boi. But yeah not the best mount: hate the jump and you really only have to move left, if you move right when you try to shoot his big head will always be in the way and i can't see anything. Another minuscule detail about the added damage correction: every companion gives 10% whn fighting toghether, but Verdash doesn't: his speed boost REPLACES the attack boost, so you do lose some damage but you gain a lot of agility from it so i still think it's worth it (even though i still use him more to move faster around my base while breeding than for actual combat, even though he's still pretty good for it: not as good as anubis but Verdash still hits pretty damn hard). Great video as always can't wait to check out the new one
If it weren't for the new raid, I'd argue no. Chillet isn't super impressive on its own. Maybe if you wanted to just minmax for the Victor and Shadowbeak fight but that'd be a stretch to justify really in my opinion. Thats my 2 cents. But with the new raid, yeah that justifies a lot of things that wouldn't be viable to max out before.
just the fact that there are so few pals that apply an elemental damage to your own attacks makes it worth having one imo. Is there any difference between gobfin and gobfin ignis as far as player attack increase? Because i've just assumed it was the same...
I need to apologize, I left a comment with the new update that Ragnahawk was equal to Wixen based on testing I did with Nox a few months ago. I diddn't even think to just look at the stat screen. My bad, I will leave the testing to you for now on, and just have fun playing with pals. I appreciate all the work you put into getting the facts right.
It's probably because both give the same (5%) boost at level one, but the increase for each condense level is a bit higher for mounts than "companion" elemental pals, I almost got it wrong too It's a bit confusing
@@spuraito9841 I appreciate it, but I actually tested Nox the wrong thing. damage against syndicate thugs instead of attack stat increase. I could have tested against a pengullet statue and probably had more accurate results but that is much less fun. I think prioritizing fun over control may have screwed up all my test but I will continue doing it :)
I think it really depends on what you're fighting. For bosses I agree with you for the reason you gave, but also because while you shoot, Wixen herself will keep dealing damage and you'll deal more damage, but for raids I'd rather use ragnahawk as I get added mobility AND I can make sure my applied element pal won't die: pretty sure it would be easier for the Bella to take out your Wixen if it's standing there.
2 things. 1: its 10% less damage 2: You cant control wix and sometimes the AI just does not attack.+ wix will just stand there and get hit over and over again.
hey man i have a question (not sure if this you know). Pals that have a partner skill that boosts elemental damage, like bristla and Kelsea Ingis, says "while in team, pal boosts *elemental* damage". if i were to fight Bellanoir, would the increase damage pass to the base pals or is it just to pals in my team
Breed Anubis and Butcher. if you have ur drop rate up he drops 3 large pal souls. Then using the Crusher just make what you need. Even with normal drop rate. its WAY faster then chest grinding.

I use Chillet cause it cute, might not be the fastest, might not be the strongest, but it's noodleness means some serious business.

Prior to the Raid Boss Chillet was the weakest option (based on matchups) now you definitely need one

I think wixen>ragnahawk in combat. Having more uptime on guns because the wixen is auto using grass techs will be a bigger damage increase.
I think it really depends on what you're fighting. Wow you got tons of palsouls, how do you farm them and do you have a set route?
Breed Anubis and Butcher. if you have ur drop rate up he drops 3 large pal souls. Then using the Crusher just make what you need. Even with normal drop rate. its WAY faster then chest grinding.
