We are only going out part-time, but hope to run into you guys on the places in Arizona where we are from! This video was bitter sweet because our daughter took us to all those places for a few years when she lived in CA. But now she lives 2300 miles away from us now! As far as Michelle’s sweet tooth...I have no idea how she does it but I am super jealous! 😂 Honestly, I truly enjoy watching her enjoy the sweets (plus I get to have a bite now and then 😃). She really doesn’t eat the sweets quite as much as it seems. We try to watch what we eat believe it or not...but when we go to new places, it makes it so hard to not try some place new...and what the heck, might as well see if their pie can beat Sherman’s Deli coconut cream! 😉 We love Arizona! It’s on the top of our list of favorite state so far! Hopefully next time we are in the area we can meet up somewhere. We would LOVE that! It’s so hard to be away from your kids and grandkids. So sorry they have moved so far away. That’s the hardest part living this lifestyle for us. Wow, I loved how that white Church was built. I grew up in a yellow brick home like the yellow brick on the house before Carlsbad Beach booth. It was a beautiful day to ride alongside of the Pacific coast. You could see haze in the distance seemed a little stagnant for the thickness it appeared to be. Those fires were bad. I really enjoyed your video. The music you choose suits your videos & says how deeply you love each other making your videos that much more enjoyable. I loved strolling along the peer too. A little busy. The ice cream was perfect for a hot day! It dropped to 38* last night here in Independence, Virginia. Our gas was $2.35 a gallon last time I looked.
It was a great day for that drive along the coast and the walk on the pier. The temp was so much nicer than further inland. Wow, it’s getting cooler in your neck of the woods. And that is much better gas prices than Cali. 😁🤓
Sheldon is close to where Michelle’s parents grew up. No many peoples first time ever go very well, so don’t feel bad. Not many of mine ever go that well either 😂

You should try to book San Clemente state beach park. They have full hook ups and pull through. Very nice park also south and north Carlsbad state beach park are very spacious. You could have parked at the beach south of the campground and walk into the campground to film the sites. They are very busy on weekends but during the week you should be able to get an ocean front camp site.
That’s the second place we missed in Oceanside, lol. The other one was the house in Top Gun movie. Guess we didn’t do our research ahead of passing through 😂
Thanks for taking us along to the San Diego North County. We lived in Escondido for 30 plus years and traveled in Oceanside and Pacific Beach daily. Temecula is a great city lots of shopping and treats area. Enjoy the area and safe travels.
Grew up there. The house from Top Gun sits right at the top of that street where you turned right to go down to the Oceanside Pier, hope you saw it. It's curently being restored, pretty cool. You guys made me feel a little homesick =)))) You're not to far from the area my husband and I grew up in. We left because to many people moved into Cali because everyone wants that kind of weather. I love the little beach communities. Most of them are unique and close knit. I hope you got to see some dolphins. The clusters of tiny bubbles under the sand where the tide comes in is actually small sand crabs that live under the sand. Also, great choice of music! Very So-Cal. Lots of nice places to go hear live music and have a nice dinner. Thanks for the great video! Safe travels and blessings! PS, if you guys get to go down to the Malibu area I recommend eating at Paradise Cove there. It's right on the beach literally and it's the area they use to film some of the Rockford Files in. ;-)

I would agree with you on the different feel between Oceanside and Pacific Beach - the latter being the preferred area for the hipsters and younger crowds, but I don't think it's unsafe. I also agree with you on Old Town Temecula - you should make sure you get to Old Town San Diego! Enjoy.
A great place to eat in Old Town Temecula is the Gambling Cowboy while your in So Cal area. This quickly became one of our favorite places to eat. They have a website if you google it for additional information. I would advise making reservations but they take walk-ins too. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Their steaks are amazing and they carry Temecula wines! I would also recommend trying a few of the local Temecula wineries. Loved your video and tour of the coast.

Hi Brian and Michelle!! Glad you had a safe day of relocating locations! Isn't that Hwy 101 something? Heather and I were down there in June when I had a trip to Huntington Beach. We had spent a few of the days on the highway between L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to returning there again! I can definitely see the draw of the area for those that live there. Since I'll be in Palm Springs in a bit less than 2 weeks, can you recommend any outside sitting restaurants in Idyllwild (BBQ, burgers, or pizza)? Also, did you have a favorite trail there? I'm not sure if I'll focus on Idyllwild or up in Joshua Tree this next trip. But, we go there often enough that I can go back there on the next one, if I go to Joshua. Safe travels!
Yes, the 101 is a fun drive. Too bad it’s so expensive to live there. Very pretty. We would highly recommend Ferro. It is located at 25840 Cedar St Idyllwild, CA. Very good food, especially their pizzas! Very beautiful area to sit out back. We did not get a chance to try a BBQ place close By. We only hiked one trail which was Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail. In that exact same area they had multiple trails and was a very busy area with other hikers. Let us k ow what you think if you go!
Not unsafe in pacific Beach area just a younger crowd lol, Carlsbad is the older money crowd 😁😁we stay at Carlsbad Inn every year with friends you should stay one night its a great little town to walk through and take the train !
No, they did not tell us we had to play we were just showing gratitude and respect as well as enjoying our stay. Michelle has been wanting to learn how to golf so we thought it was a perfect time. This course was actually not very expensive which surprised me. I forget what the exact cost was for 9 & 18 with a cart but it was around the same as back in Iowa and this course was much nicer. The driving range had 3 prices for buckets of balls. We paid $9 for I think it was 90 balls but I could be mistaken without looking it up on their website. We are packing up and getting ready to shoot for our next destination this morning. 👍🏻😊🤓

Welcome to the San Diego area! Hope you enjoy your time in the city and surrounding area. Very well produced video. I would agree with you on the different feel between Oceanside and Pacific Beach - the latter being the preferred area for the hipsters and younger crowds, but I don't think it's unsafe. I also agree with you on Old Town Temecula - you should make sure you get to Old Town San Diego! Enjoy.

A great place to eat in Old Town Temecula is the Gambling Cowboy while your in So Cal area. This quickly became one of our favorite places to eat. They have a website if you google it for additional information. I would advise making reservations but they take walk-ins too. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Their steaks are amazing and they carry Temecula wines! I would also recommend trying a few of the local Temecula wineries. Loved your video and tour of the coast.

HAPPY Sunday afternoon. Did you take that drive down PCH/101 last weekend? The smoke looks bad. Thanks for a new perspective. We live up Oceanside Boulevard and it was interesting hearing your comments during the drive. We have started in the Oceanside Marina and gone to Del Mar more times than we can count. Not during the weekends! Dislike the drive during the weekend LOL! Hope to meet up on the road someday. Did not know how close we were last weekend. I would not fish in that Temecula water either. This is such a good video! I'm from SD and have been to OS Pier so many times. Were the pelicans out on the pier? Next time, stop at Ruby's for a malted.

Yes it is. Our first year we spent quite a long time in CA and didn’t have a TSD fuel card then. Boy do we wish we had, we would of saved a lot!
Hi Brian and Michelle!! Glad you had a safe day of relocating locations! Isn't that Hwy 101 something? Heather and I were down there in June when I had a trip to Huntington Beach. We had spent a few of the days on the highway between L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to returning there again! I can definitely see the draw of the area for those that live there.
Since I'll be in Palm Springs in a bit less than 2 weeks, can you recommend any outside sitting restaurants in Idyllwild (BBQ, burgers, or pizza)? Also, did you have a favorite trail there? I'm not sure if I'll focus on Idyllwild or up in Joshua Tree this next trip. But, we go there often enough that I can go back there on the next one, if I go to Joshua. Safe travels!
Yes, the 101 is a fun drive. Too bad it’s so expensive to live there. Very pretty.
We would highly recommend Ferro. It is located at 25840 Cedar St
Idyllwild, CA. Very good food, especially their pizzas! Very beautiful area to sit out back. We did not get a chance to try a BBQ place close
By. We only hiked one trail which was Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail. In that exact same area they had multiple trails and was a very busy area with other hikers.

Not unsafe in pacific Beach area just a younger crowd lol, Carlsbad is the older money crowd 😁😁we stay at Carlsbad Inn every year with friends you should stay one night its a great little town to walk through and take the train !

At the golf course were you expected to play a round of golf or use the driving range ? (expensive)
No, they did not tell us we had to play we were just showing gratitude and respect as well as enjoying our stay. Michelle has been wanting to learn how to golf so we thought it was a perfect time. This course was actually not very expensive which surprised me. I forget what the exact cost was for 9 & 18 with a cart but it was around the same as back in Iowa and this course was much nicer. The driving range had 3 prices for buckets of balls. We paid $9 for I think it was 90 balls but I could be mistaken without looking it up on their website. We are packing up and getting ready to shoot for our next destination this morning. 👍🏻😊🤓

Sometimes when it’s something that nobody else experiences it’s something on their end that they have not figured out and sometimes these comments are just a fake account created by individuals trying to create drama...aka Trolls in the TH-cam industry.
