    For all the Novak Djokovic's fans, the respect commanded by Roger Federer after his retirement shows his class and humbleness which he exhibited during his playing days. Novak would be dreaming to get this respect from everyone which is never going to happen. So he motivates himself from now on, to win another 10 grandslams,so that he can claim that respect as Roger Federer gets now. People listening to him after his retirement shows that people really missed him in the tour. Only time can tell, with Djokovic's arrogance on the court, would command the same respect after his retirement.

    • @4kisso283
      @4kisso283 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I don't know why you have to make such baseless claims, but let me clarify something for you. The so-called 'respect' that Federer received wasn't just about being 'humble'; it was about playing the media game to his advantage, which is a common strategy in professional sports. His image was carefully crafted to appeal to a certain audience, and it worked well for him. It's all about money, and the more he played the role of the 'nice guy,' the more he gained in popularity among those who couldn't see through the façade.
      Nadal followed a similar path, adapting to what the media expected of him. Novak, on the other hand, has principles that can't be compromised, regardless of his status as the GOAT or his statistics. He was willing to stand for his beliefs, even if it meant being banned for nearly two years. That's integrity.
      Novak isn't the media darling, and he doesn't care about that. He's the best tennis player ever, regardless of what you or anyone else might say. Period.. NOVAK DJAKOVIK the KING OF KINGS! and THE HEALTIES....

    • @1987rathan
      @1987rathan 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@4kisso283 Good to have your opinion. Roger was never a cool person until 2004/2005. Then he understood his responsibilities as a Tennis icon and he maintained that. Even media celebrated that for expressing his vulnerabilities against Rafael Nadal on clay courts and his loss in 2008 Wimbledon final. His acceptance that he was struggling to be a top player after his poor records against Rafa, made him love a lot by the media and people because he expressed his human side on court. Djokovic's problem is that he is not as elegant as Roger/Rafael Nadal. He never shows his humanness on the court. That's his weakness not being able to express himself. Media and fans/people love to see the human side of the top players which Novak never shows until now. In simple terms, Novak is a raw unpolished diamond whereas Roger/ Nadal are polished diamonds.Both are responsible towards people who they love and being loved. If you are not responsible towards your fans or people who try to adore you, you cannot earn the respect of them.

    Living in Switzerland as a foreigner I started to notice more easily the whole injustice about the way Novak is mistreated and the way Federer is being treated like ultimate god, which he is not. Don't get me wrong, I am not denying his talent, Roger is one of the all time greats and had amazing career.
    However, imagine being from a swiss family, you're from a richest country in the world, the country where everything is perfect, where the biggest crime is when you don't have a train ticket, your perfect family cares about your education, so you also speak few languages, there is not a single problem in this world why you couldn't train tennis at the highest level if you wanted to. You also have english roots which makes it even easier for western media to make you their poster boy.
    On the other side you have Novak. Born in an eastern country, torn by war. Born in a family that is not rich and has to sacrifice EVERYTHING, including to some degree development of other children just so he can play tennis. Because of the background the whole establishment is against him and as a result of a poor picture that media created he has a lot of more enemies then just his rival on the court.
    Now. If people would see the bigger picture of it all, the injustice of this whole situation, it's like a tennis equivalent of a Rocky movie. Novak should have much more fans then Roger and Nadal, but well, propaganda is ongoing and even if he wins 30 slams it's not gonna stop, they're still gonna portray him as a villain. It's impossible for people to love him as much as Federer or Nadal not because he has less likeable character or does something that is commonly not appreciated by fans. The reason for that is quite simple. It requires thinking on your own and not following what media is saying.
    From Roger, even though he was a poster child and the puppet of establishment, he could still end this whole thing with the class. To do that it would be enough to appreciate Novak achievements, congratulate him after 24th slam. Have we heard a word about historic Novak's US open triumph in this interview? That is why in my eyes and many others Roger is looking like a sore looser at the end.

      RESPECT, is not given , bought, forced , but EARNED.. This is what Novak seem to not understand..Example: on vaxing, how could Novak expect to be warmly received when all other citizens and visitors had to be vaccinated.. No, he insisted on special privileges, even appealing to the highest authorities.. It's okay for him not to get vaccinated, that is his individual right, but other governments , people have their rules and regulations as well. This is where he looses with the mass..The thing with Ben Shelton, a kid, he had to over exaggerate the situation instead of being the elder spokesman and deescalate . Again, this is where he looks bad in the eyes of others..

      First respect for the comment, but i think you looking at it wrong, theres a reason why Federer and Nadal are what they are and it has nothing to do with media or him being Swiss or Spanish, or being rich or poor. Main reason is Federer took the sport by "storm" hes greatness started the moment he dethroned Sampras, him and Nadal set the bar so high in terms of level of play and skill and they both did it without any fuss or scandals, they did it with class no matter if they win or lose, djokovic outside of several "wrong calls" is victim of "moment", people already seen greatest level and he is being mesured and compared to it which is natural in any sport, in the end he will end up being most successfull of the three, but best ever... Federer, Nadal then Djokovic.
