So excited to get this guy to arrive. I think he's gonna hold up nicely with my Mafex, Revoltech, and Select X-Men stuff because of how well sculpted and painted he is Seeing the headswaps are always a highlight and make informed purchases so much easier Have you done a Storm headswap video yet? With all her varied costumes and hair styles, I think that could be an interesting one between the 97, 90's (retro), 80's(punk), 70's(2 pack), Marvel Now! and the upcoming Bloodstorm
This is the first comic Wolverine figure Hasbro has put out that I've actually liked enough to want to own. It's like the answer to all my grievances with the Marvel Legends line. Unique sculpted details for this specific character, solid anatomy and body proportions, a modern articulation scheme that doesn't make the figure look like a robot, the shape of the claws. It's all genuinely good. It's not great. It's not exceptional by the standards set by other companies. But it is actually good and worth owning. That's sayings lot for Marvel Legends, and I'm really glad that I'm being able to say that more and more about there releases. It's amazing how far they've come. I was watching a review of the Superior Spider-Man from this wave where they had a side by side comparison of that with their previous figure of the character, and the difference is night and day. Marvel Legends used to be these nothings of action figures. Awful bodies, cheap basic paint, minimal detail, horrendous head sculpts where every character's eyes were nine feet apart like a Rob Liefeld drawing, shoulders situated down in their abdomens. They had a lot of points of articulation, but it really didn't matter since they didn't look good to begin with. Most of the figures they're putting out still aren't good, but their minimum level of quality is still entire orders of magnitude beyond what they were doing a decade ago, and the highlights of the line have really got me paying attention. With how much the DC Multiverse line has dropped in quality, it's weird that I'm way more interested in seeing what Hasbro announces now, because I can actually count on at least one or two of their figures being good every now and then.
Sadly, I sold my original superior Spider-Man years ago so I won't be able to do that side by side myself, but even without seeing that I already know it's going to be a complete night and day difference.
I love the Krakoa Wolverine suit. It’s got the design of the X-force suit with the colors of the brown costume. Also, I’m a sucker for Cowboy Logan. The two pack version is a good figure because of the splayed out left hand and grabbing right hand. Feels like it’d look great with a scale bottle and cigar.
i ordered this figure this sunday on an ebay listing with astonishing cyclops packed in for a good deal. i’ve been WAITING for you to make a video, especially for the headswaps. I am joyful edit: 1 minute after i made this comment, the package came so.. now i have this figure! hooray!
My two favorite suits are either the House of X suit or Astonishing suit, they're a good mix of classic and modern. I do gotta admit I prefer him in the yellow and blue, the colors look more nicer together, and it's more iconic.
I know many don't consider it necessary, but the lack of boot cut when so many other Wolverine's have it kinda kill this figure for me. Shame because I genuinely love everything else about it. My favorite costume is his second Ultimate look.
The second Ultimate costume is a really good one. And he started looking more like himself then, in terms of proportions etc. I never really liked his first Ultimate look. He looked like Edwardo from Extreme Ghostbusters lol
The overlays are actually why I was wondering if they were from the Lady Mandarin two pack, but like I said I don't have it and only saw pictures, so that's purely speculation on my part
@@5POAFigureReviews The only reason I mentioned the the overlay gloves is because if you were to take them off the arm would look really weird, because they slot into the arm like Vulcan.
I’d say this, his classic look, and brown uniforms are the best for me. Also him in civilian mode too. I don’t know a single hero who looks just as cool with or without their superhero duds as much as wolverine😎
My fav costume is Brown and Tan but I want this figure for a new Avengers display. He's delayed in Canada (or at least where I live), so I won't see him until September.
Not really, it’s totally incorrect 😂 X-Men Origins Wolverine certainly was pretty bad, but it didn’t “kill” any franchise. The X-Men went on to have half a dozen more movies and Wolverine himself continued his own franchise with two more much more successful movies. So what franchise did the first Wolverine movie kill exactly? 🤔 And if you’re gonna say “it killed the X-Men Origins: franchise”, that’s not true either. Since they basically continued on with their plan of doing a Magneto Orgin movie anyway, they just changed the name to X-Men First Class instead. Which basically translates to “X-Men Orgins.”
I think it is inevitable that they will remake the tiger stripe with this articulation scheme, but the only question is whether they do that first or the brown and orange first. If you're willing to wait, go for it, but keep in mind it could be a year or two before it happens. And that's just speculation on my part
Thank you for reminding me that I need to get around to the Logan from that two-pack. I'll definitely be doing that along with all the other unmasked heads I have for him
