Had an evening listening to mash-ups - and this, being an old one, is still the best of them all. So well put together. I'm surprised it has so few likes compared to some of the absolute rubbish I've just sat through (mismatched key signatures etc). This is a pearl in an ocean of crap!
I'm just finding this ten years later? I've loved Metallica since I was 16, and RDMC. 16 was sooooooo many years ago, but I still listen to them. This just brought back so many feelings and memories! Almost gave my poor mother a heart attack the first time I blasted Enter Sandman from my room.
Interesting. I'm a metal head and I love Metallica. I also have great respect for RDMC. I'm a music lover too so I like lots of music. This actually works. IMHO Tricky is not RDMC's best but works with Sandman which imho is not Metallica's best either.
Say your prayers, little one Don't forget, my son To include everyone I tuck you in, warm within Keep you free from sin Till the Sandman he comes Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Take my hand We're off to Never-, Neverland Something's wrong, shut the light Heavy thoughts tonight And they aren't of Snow White Dreams of war, dreams of liars Dreams of dragon's fire And of things that will bite Sleep with one eye open Gripping your pillow tight Exit light Enter night Take my hand We're off to Never-, Neverland Now I lay me down to sleep Pray the Lord my soul to keep If I die before I wake Pray the Lord my soul to take Hush little baby, don't say a word And never mind that noise you heard It's just the beasts under your bed In your closet, in your head Exit light Enter night Grain of sand Exit light Enter night Take my hand We're off to Never-, Neverland We're off to Never-, Neverland Take my hand We're off to Never-, Neverland Take my hand We're off to Never-, Neverland We're off to Never-, Neverland We're off to Never-, Neverland We're off to Never-, Neverland

This works.
Say your prayers, little one
Don't forget, my son
To include everyone
I tuck you in, warm within
Keep you free from sin
Till the Sandman he comes
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to Never-, Neverland
Something's wrong, shut the light
Heavy thoughts tonight
And they aren't of Snow White
Dreams of war, dreams of liars
Dreams of dragon's fire
And of things that will bite
Sleep with one eye open
Gripping your pillow tight
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to Never-, Neverland
Now I lay me down to sleep
Pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I die before I wake
Pray the Lord my soul to take
Hush little baby, don't say a word
And never mind that noise you heard
It's just the beasts under your bed
In your closet, in your head
Exit light
Enter night
Grain of sand
Exit light
Enter night
Take my hand
We're off to Never-, Neverland
We're off to Never-, Neverland
Take my hand
We're off to Never-, Neverland
Take my hand
We're off to Never-, Neverland
We're off to Never-, Neverland
We're off to Never-, Neverland
We're off to Never-, Neverland
♡

I met this little girlie, her hair was kinda curly
Went to her house and bust her out, I had to leave real early
These girls are really sleazy, all they just say is please me

[Verse 2]
In New York the people talk and try to make us rhyme
They really (hawk) but we just (walk) because we have no time
And in the city it's a pity cos we just can't hide
Tinted windows don't mean nothin', they know who's inside
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...(How is it D?) Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time

[Verse 3]
When I wake up people take up mostly all of my time
I'm not singin', phone keep ringin' cos I make up a rhyme
I'm not braggin', people naggin' cos they think I'm a star
Always tearin' what I'm wearin', I think they're goin' too far
A girl named Carol follows Daryll every gig we play
Then D dissed her and dismissed her, now she's jockin' Jay
I ain't lyin', girls be cryin' cos I'm on TV
They even bother my poor father cos he's down with me
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...(How is it?) Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's Tricky...Tr-tr-tr-tr-tr-tricky (Tr-Tr-Tr-Tricky) Tr-tr-tr...
[Verse 4]
We are not thugs (we don't use drugs) but you assume (on your own)
They offer coke (and lots of dope) but we just leave it alone
It's like that y'all (y'all), but we don't quit
You keep on (rock!) shock! Cos this is it...
I love run DMC milk 👑🇬🇧🆕⚽
