I think purity is very important. I was LDS (Mormon) back in 1997 as a convert, I got married in 2000, and I was chaste (is that the word), until married, and then I've been divorced since 2001, but I've been celibate that long. I've never had a purity ring, but it's something close to my heart. I could barely see the missionary tag on his shirt. Is he a returned missionary??
A promise ring and a purity ring are not the same thing at all. A purity ring is what you explained, but a promise ring is given to you as a commitment to be with your S.O. It’s like a promise to be with that person. (Also I’m kind of surprised, your 20 and never did anything, it’s rare)
