There's this theory where Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa are dead and Jisoo is the only one alive. In the teaser, Jisoo is the only one looking at the camera while the others just close their eyes/ look away. There's also a die/death sign somewhere in the mv i think. Jisoo is the only one without a man. Love hurt her friends. Lisa: Loved her partner so much that after they broke up, she jumped off the rooftop. There's something written on her hammer for more evidence but i forgot it lol Jennie: Jennie and her partner were in an unhealthy toxic relationship so she decided to seek medical help but it wasn't working. Her partner brought her flowers in the car and she went hysterical and had a fight with them, resulting to the car crash Rosé: Rosé tried to keep her relationship alive by continously doing activities with their common interests. It wasn't enough because they broke up. She eventually fell into a deep depression and drowns herself in the bathtub. There's also a slight stain of blood on her cheek. Jisoo: Jisoo couldn't bear the death of her friends. She was in denial about everything that has happened. All the scenes where the girls are together was just her memories. Her scene where she was in a flower field were her dreams of being happy and at peace. The hourglass means that she wishes she had more time to help the girls. She eventually couldn't take it anymore and drowns herself, feeling no emotion. Nothing. Ending: either its a flashback or a memory of when they were all together or its the afterlife where they all found eachother again and are happy. Saw a post on Twitter about it so I tried to type it without looking at it so sorry if I'm wrong about the details of the theory 🤠

How she wish she run faster to save her friends(the scene where she run as fast as she can) -but it was too late. Then we see where they are all in a happy scene. Jisoo cherish that moment. She remember her favorite memories with them. After Jisoo memory lane, we see jisoo in the pool with bloodshot eyes and a sign that says "NOTHING" tryin' to move on but she feels "NOTHING" without the girls. Right!!!! Rosé can sing, can dance, can act, very cute, very beautiful, very unique... People said nobody's perfect, man....then what you called Rosé is? She is extremely polite & kind, when you meet her in real life you will understand why I compliment her so much... She is truly everything 💖💖💖
@@stankystinkygrr these days people prefer crackhead or swag vibe more. Our rosie baby has sweet ,cute and feminine vibe which is why I love her so much.(I love all members but rosie is my ultimate bias)
Here's my theory for each love scene the girls had. Jennie: Probably had a toxic relationship it's either her being the toxic one or it's either the guy in the car. Lisa: Maybe she's continuously going back to her exes? since she's she's rapping about them and then got this sudden courage? Jisoo: Is the only one without a man so it's probably her running away from love maybe cause of pass experience or maybe because she's scared. Rose: Is the one who looked like had the healthiest relationship but had the saddest one. Since it looked like they bonded a lot but something or maybe even someone got in the way or something happened.
I like in jisoos solo part the movement of the camera sort of flowed with the flowers moving in the breeze. Also I agree about Jennie's part maybe would've been clearer with less images (as in maybe don't flick back to when she's crashed because we already know that) . I like that they weren't in a studio for all of it as well. 🖤💕
The music video editor edited this video in a fast pace/too saturated because when you're sad, the memories flash back very quickly, which means this video is supposed to represent the chaotic parts of life, how fast things change.
In my opinion lovesick girls is simply about the dating ban in korean music industry when it comes to their idols, and blackpink did a great job conveying those feelings...acknowledging that they'll eventually feel lonely the moment they step in this cruel and capitalistic, perfect image ideals that the industry want them to portray... and feeling those emotions up to this day makes them so lovesick that it made them realize that they were born to be alone and nothing else but then again in the end of it all they've realized while accepting their fate they know that they will STILL try and try over and over again to find LOVE and the hopelessness of finding love that would make them feel lovesick. And that made them LOVESICK GIRLS.
Jennies scene is chaos bc of the fight and how she feels and the emotion in the way she’s singing , Lisa’s is calm, jisoo is calm, rose is chaotic bc they’re fighting.... all of their first shots match up with the singing...in the beginning anyways. Would be cool if there’s as a way for you to be able make your own edit of one of their videos!!! Would be cool to see what you would do... I know it would be different but fire!!!!!! Think having a fresh take would be really cool!!!
okk this is officially the channel that i'll be waiting for everytime someone makes a comeback. i like that he gives his honest reviews and he also points out all the meaning in the video and making theories and all omg yess i live for this kind of reaction.
Yeah its supposed to have a disorienting feeling!! Because the song is about a girl who is in a cycle of falling in love and breaking up and just doing it over and over again to the point she can feel nothing! So that explains to why its so disoriented and keeps comming back to the dark because even if she reaches the light she will always go back to the dark because it is a cycle and it keeps repeating. So yes they did it on purpose definitely!!
Yeah. I think it captured the song as well? Like at the end, the cuts between the open space and the rooftop scene. Kinda similar on how the beat is fun but then jennie's last line contrasted it. Tbh, I myself didn't like it at first but the more I watched and listen to it the more it gets better omggg
the image they are trying to built in the last part where they go to dark and come back to light background, is that they have gone through pain, darkness, sadness but they are in the peace, a harmless place, the light background.
Rosé was amazing in this song. Lovesick girls belongs to her! My favorite parts were hers and Jisoo, their emotions were on point. Thanks for this amazing reaction! Lovesick girls it's a great song, indeed.
this type of song is what we've been waiting for. this is something new to blackpink and yg just proved their versatility. if you're not new to kpop, you'll definitely see that yg is trying new things. they're now unafraid to show more and more. i stan the right label. i was dying to watch your reaction btw. you're amazing!
The real meaning of this mv was painful. The whole scenery of this mv was all Jisoo’s memory with her and the girls when they were still alive. The part where we saw the girls crying was them struggling with their relationships and the one where you see Jisoo in the flower fields is like her being the sunshine of the other 3 girls, her giving them hope. The scene where you see them in like the super market, dancing, eating popcorn and etc where just scenes in her memory. Also, the scene where you see Jisoo running is her trying to save/stop her friends from ending their life together with the pain. And it takes us to the next part where she is in the middle of this pool like thing with the sign NOTHING, representing that nothing was left to her anymore, her friends were gone so she also decided to end her life by drowning her self. Then on to the next scene where they were on a car, in the middle of nowhere, being all happy and free. This represents them being united again in another life.
I think it's meant to be in this way: You know sometimes even though when we are sad and crying when we are alone when people ask us "Is there something wrong?" We say "No, nothing." But it's actually obvious that we are sad just like that rain in that scene. I think the rain symbolizes the tears.
Did you just cut Rosé part after Jennie rap??-a.k.a. my favorite part. I almost cried when I watched that scene. 😭 PS. The lyrics goes from “we we’re born to be alone, but why we still look for love?” in the chorus and “...but we’re still looking for love.” in the ending. I felt that. PPS. Do Ashey have reaction/review channel too? I want to hear more from her.
I agree with you, I had a hard time focusing on the mv at first with all the fast cuts, but after reading the lyrics and getting the vibe of the song I also kinda like the fact that it makes me feel confused and like wtf because that's the meaning behind the song. In a toxic relationship you feel like that and after you end things you feel happy and free, but also you're so used to the pain that you still kinda miss it in some disgusting way.. great reaction as always, AND YASS MORE ASHLEY!!
I love the fact that even when you're fangirling with the song, you still being critic about the video editing and teaching us. You're one of a kind ❤️
I know it’s been months but no one is talking about how the girl he’s with explain jisoo’s ‘nothing’ that summarized the exact thought of the whole song? TT

Well for me personally too, this is the most realistic reaction I've seen so far, not just praising everything but also pointing what could have done better. Sharing also the knowledge for aspiring video/film editors out there. Hats off!
You are my favourite TH-camr. I always wait for your kpop reaction video. You really go into deep and breakdown the meaning of the song and tell the story. I always appreciate your honest reactions. And I learn a lot of new things from you.
Theory The car is constantly being driven in these crossroads, a dark and puzzling place, and towards the end finally comes to this field, a beautiful place that's very peaceful. Maybe they are very driven very to find love, but they are in a crossroads, are driving with no destination. Finally they park and find peace with themselves at the end?
The backstory is: Jisoo loses Jennie, Rosé and Lisa because of falling too much in love with a guy. Lose as in they pass away. So Jisoo tries to find them back. So, jisoo basically represents suicide here. The last shots are the last moments of the other three members which are the flashbacks jisoo gets in her mind. The scenes in the beginning was also kind of a flashback, like how they used to spend time together and enjoy life. In my theory, Jennie dies because of a car crash (that her boyfriend influenced); Rosé dies because of depression/murder and Lisa jumps off the building because she caught her boyfriend cheating with Rosé. Jisoo says, "Can't hear what you say , I'm happy with this pain"; I guess this means that she doesn't want any love anymore she just wants to re-unite with her friends. She does so by killing herself? And when we get the first scene again in the MV, ig it means that they all are in heaven, together, trying to enjoy the time together.
I love that he was honest about the beginning part with Jennie being confusing. When I watched it for the first time I thought the same thing and I felt bad for not liking it, but he's right! It was too fast to really understand what was going on. Your eyes didn't have time to land on anything in particular and process what you were seeing. The jump cutty parts that he was talking about throughout the first half of the video, to me, just felt like it left something to be desired. Every time it cut I would get so annoyed because I wanted to see more of the choreography, background, outfits, or something like that. Not to say that I didn't like the video, because Jordan was also correct in saying that the second half got WAY better! I did like it as a whole, but the beginning-ish part was just a lot. Also, Jordan sayin "Her nails are super ratchet" got me hahaha! I know it wasn't meant to be funny, but it just was!
I agree. It's been a while since i liked a Blackpink mv. Their only mv that i really like is Stay. I think they should change their director coz they haven't changed their mv director since D4
It felt like everything was going by too fast, when you watch it, you can feel your eyes looking at different parts of the screen cause you can't really focus on one thing because of how fast the scenes are changing.
I know im late but this is the correct theory of lovesick Jennie-suffers from depression That affect her braiN,she got car accident while arguing with her boyfriend Lisa-Because of depression and toxic love She took he own life by jumping on at the building Rose-Just like the two she took her own life by drowning herself at a bathtub(black ink represent death) Jisoo-the scene we saw that the hourglass that jisoo holding Is running backward Because this represent that she want to comeback To time and save her friends, the scene jisoo was running because she wants to save her Friends, But she was too late
I think the theory is jennie got in a car crash after fought her boyfriend, lisa jumped off the building, rosé drown herself, the part when jisoo running is she trying to save them, and the reverse hourglass is she wish she could turn back time to save them, and the bright field scenery is maybe either their afterlife/heaven/memory

This is my theory Jennie was going thru a toxic relationship so in hopes of recovering she is admitted to a hospital but then she realises that it's of no use after hearing that her partner bought her flowers (you can see in the mv) but seeing this she gets to know that he was only pitying her thus the argument starts and the car crash happens where she loses her life Lisa was in a one sided relationship but she realised that he would never love her so she jumps off the building Rosé and her partner were in the tip of breaking up but rosé didn't want to let go you can see in the mv where they paint make music etc but it doesn't work in the end he leaves her rosé tries to move on but fails (it's the part where she splashes black paint on the wall and breaks the guitar ) so in the end she drowned herself in the bathtub Jisoo is their friend Jisoo regrets not being on time to save them you can see her running in the mv meaning she's running to save them but fails so she hoped everything thing can go back that's why there's a broken hour glass so in hopes she can meet her friends she drowns herself in the pool at the last u can see them together meaning they were reunited in heaven Another theory is that Jisoo is an angel and saves them and live happily
You really tore into some parts of this video’s editing and I appreciate that because THAT is what you are here for, to share your insights into the craft. I completely agree with some of the decisions in the editing being unnecessary
The going back to back part was showing their “bipolarness” it was the point, showing how toxic it is to go from completely fine to terrible and then repeating that. Atleast that’s what I think, especially in roses second scene
Really appreciate that you point of both the pros and cons of the video while also appreciating the song!! Just feels like a really balanced and genuine a review. Was helpful to understand the point about the sequence of similar cuts and how the video may have felt more dynamic with more creative choices there. I also love the fun jumping happy moment!! Glad those moments translate!!
This song/MV shows/is about death, suicide, and stuff like that and at the end (car scenes) shows them reuniting together after. Jisoo was the only one not in love with a guy, the scene where Jisoo had the time thing, as you can see it is going backwards (giving her that time again to save her memebers, but she was too late) then she drowns herself in the pool. the "NOTHING" in the back of her shows that she has nothing left. 'Not my information, credits to someone in Instagram'. But there is more to tell. (Other memebers)

The MV theory from twitter:
Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé passing away and Jisoo narrates the unfortunate events end eventually kills herself at the end.
Notice their teaser photo, the one that Jisoo looking at the camera and the girls are looking tired.
Due to the toxicity of Jennie's relationship, it affects her mental health and trying to find help from the mental hospital but no one can help her. Her boyfriend bough her flowers to ease the situation but she went hysterical which then led their to the car accident. (checkd the mv)
Lisa, she's the one who carried the whole relationship. But her boyfriend left her. Because of heavy sadness it leads to suicidal thoughts. The footage where she's on the rooftop. To end her life, she jump.
Rosé is in a very in-denial relationship. Trying her best to keep it together keeping their common interest alive, but they never truly worked out. The depression grew deeper and so she decided to drown herself in the bath tub. (Notice every clue on her part)
Jisoo is broken but at the same time the flower scene express her drive with staying positive and moving on. Blue flowers represents hope and beauty of things. You can also see her holding an hour glass in where in the sand seem to be falling off but it actually going on the opposite way. Means she want to turn back.
Hence the lyrics of Jisoo "You pity me but i pity you more for pitying me" she could no longer take the agony so she drown herself in the pool.
Last scene, we see them reuniting at the afterlife where in their favorite pink mustang.

Bargaining - Jisoo when she was running away. It feels as if she was not ready to face the reality that (the love?) was not present anymore and trying to run away from the pain.

She is extremely polite & kind, when you meet her in real life you will understand why I compliment her so much... She is truly everything 💖💖💖
fr some of my friends say they are ot3 cause they dont like rosé but shes my bias cause shes so funny, kind, and she has the best vocals in the grp!!
Since it looked like they bonded a lot but something or maybe even someone got in the way or something happened.
fact: Rose crying scene is 100% real because he ✨bought the wrong shade of pink✨
Yuh watch the behind the scenes vid. She ramped her self up to get in the mood

100 %!
Rose's tear is actually real cz she is the one who is sensitive .
ikr she's so pure
Its real because Loren bought a wrong pink shade.

*Jennie’s scene was chaotic cuz thats what the relationship made her feel like.*
You got a great interpretation @Heishi Rida.
Do you have a source for this interpretation? Cuz damn that hits good.

the question is when i’m able to make theories and shit about kpop mvs why can’t i make a theory about the article i read in ela
9:01 Emotions of Rose in this part definitely stabbed my heart 😭💖
Jennies scene is chaos bc of the fight and how she feels and the emotion in the way she’s singing , Lisa’s is calm, jisoo is calm, rose is chaotic bc they’re fighting.... all of their first shots match up with the singing...in the beginning anyways. Would be cool if there’s as a way for you to be able make your own edit of one of their videos!!! Would be cool to see what you would do... I know it would be different but fire!!!!!! Think having a fresh take would be really cool!!!

I think the choppiness was on purpose because the whole song is about crazy love even toxic...
I'm sure it was! I just didn't like how it made me feel which I think was the point :)
Exactly
Yeah. I think it captured the song as well? Like at the end, the cuts between the open space and the rooftop scene. Kinda similar on how the beat is fun but then jennie's last line contrasted it. Tbh, I myself didn't like it at first but the more I watched and listen to it the more it gets better omggg
@@JordanOrme omg omg omg omg you replied to me...
*dies*
the image they are trying to built in the last part where they go to dark and come back to light background, is that they have gone through pain, darkness, sadness but they are in the peace, a harmless place, the light background.
Rosé was amazing in this song. Lovesick girls belongs to her! My favorite parts were hers and Jisoo, their emotions were on point. Thanks for this amazing reaction!
Lovesick girls it's a great song, indeed.

This represents them being united again in another life.
my english isn't good, so please bare with me.
Actually there’s a good ending
Jisoo didn’t drown, she was reminiscing about them and in pink venom she recalled them
I thought Jisoo’s scene is saying “Stop crying for Nothing”
MAKES ALOT OF SENSE
I think it's meant to be in this way: You know sometimes even though when we are sad and crying when we are alone when people ask us "Is there something wrong?" We say "No, nothing." But it's actually obvious that we are sad just like that rain in that scene. I think the rain symbolizes the tears.
@@madonebo9249 HOW ARE Y'ALL SMART
Did you just cut Rosé part after Jennie rap??-a.k.a. my favorite part. I almost cried when I watched that scene. 😭
PS. The lyrics goes from “we we’re born to be alone, but why we still look for love?” in the chorus and “...but we’re still looking for love.” in the ending. I felt that.
PPS. Do Ashey have reaction/review channel too? I want to hear more from her.
yes cause ashley dig in dipper
my inner blink are screaming.. 😂😂😩
I hate him for doing that hope that their will be no next time(not even knowing he cut a part) like what he did
He did, i thought nobody realizes 😅
😭
I agree with you, I had a hard time focusing on the mv at first with all the fast cuts, but after reading the lyrics and getting the vibe of the song I also kinda like the fact that it makes me feel confused and like wtf because that's the meaning behind the song. In a toxic relationship you feel like that and after you end things you feel happy and free, but also you're so used to the pain that you still kinda miss it in some disgusting way.. great reaction as always, AND YASS MORE ASHLEY!!
if you also can notice the "cuts" syncs with the beat so I can say the editor really did a great job
His reaction in the last clip is very very cuteeee😍😍😍

Well for me personally too, this is the most realistic reaction I've seen so far, not just praising everything but also pointing what could have done better. Sharing also the knowledge for aspiring video/film editors out there. Hats off!
You are my favourite TH-camr. I always wait for your kpop reaction video. You really go into deep and breakdown the meaning of the song and tell the story. I always appreciate your honest reactions. And I learn a lot of new things from you.
For me I think they still wanted to portray some black and pink mood in the outro. maybe that’s why they included that choreo lol
Woah, the metaphor about “nothing” falling into the water and hurting her is so cool. Didn’t notice that before.
I like you are not afraid to express and do your critics how you real felt it !
*IDK WHY BUT THIS SONG GIMME CHILLS*
ROSÉ 🌹 THE QUEEN OF THE SONG
where is Rose's part where she was painting the wall? hdkshdks I love your reaction videos btw. It's making me notice all the small details of the mvs
@@boifukuoka9390 I think so too. I had to watch that part just to make sure
The backstory is:
Jisoo loses Jennie, Rosé and Lisa because of falling too much in love with a guy. Jisoo says, "Can't hear what you say
, I'm happy with this pain"; I guess this means that she doesn't want any love anymore she just wants to re-unite with her friends.
Jordan: i don't like this editing, i don't feel it.
Jordan: * proceds to dance *
Ashley just destroyed me with that analysis. I didn’t even remotely think of that OMG. Well done 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 YESSS!!!!
JENNIE WROTE HER OWN RAP SO IM GLAD YOU LIKED IT !!
I know im late but this is the correct theory of lovesick
Jennie-suffers from depression That affect her braiN,she got car accident while arguing with her boyfriend
Lisa-Because of depression and toxic love She took he own life by jumping on at the building
Rose-Just like the two she took her own life by drowning herself at a bathtub(black ink represent death)
Jisoo-the scene we saw that the hourglass that jisoo holding Is running backward Because this represent that she want to comeback To time and save her friends, the scene jisoo was running because she wants to save her Friends, But she was too late
Not this premiering while I’m in school tho...... 😂

4:12 On The Guitar of Rosé It Says "I Miss U" but She Changed It And The Miss Out and Put "Hate"
I love the Dance Therapy!
13:19
This is my theory
Jennie was going thru a toxic relationship so in hopes of recovering she is admitted to a hospital but then she realises that it's of no use after hearing that her partner bought her flowers (you can see in the mv) but seeing this she gets to know that he was only pitying her thus the argument starts and the car crash happens where she loses her life
Lisa was in a one sided relationship but she realised that he would never love her so she jumps off the building
Rosé and her partner were in the tip of breaking up but rosé didn't want to let go you can see in the mv where they paint make music etc but it doesn't work in the end he leaves her rosé tries to move on but fails (it's the part where she splashes black paint on the wall and breaks the guitar ) so in the end she drowned herself in the bathtub
Jisoo is their friend Jisoo regrets not being on time to save them you can see her running in the mv meaning she's running to save them but fails so she hoped everything thing can go back that's why there's a broken hour glass so in hopes she can meet her friends she drowns herself in the pool at the last u can see them together meaning they were reunited in heaven
Another theory is that Jisoo is an angel and saves them and live happily
You really tore into some parts of this video’s editing and I appreciate that because THAT is what you are here for, to share your insights into the craft. I completely agree with some of the decisions in the editing being unnecessary
When you said nothing I thought you will say this song is about nothing I was laughing at that point
The going back to back part was showing their “bipolarness” it was the point, showing how toxic it is to go from completely fine to terrible and then repeating that. Atleast that’s what I think, especially in roses second scene
I like how you react to music videos, you're so natural and not just watching it, you try to understand and explain the details
Me just noticed:THIS SONG LITTELARY FITS WITH KILL THIS LOVE
