May at in Shanxi province is Men's Qualifiers. I haven't tracked down when the women's competition will be (if it is separate or not). For sure I will be there since it is just one province over. 2 months and counting!
It would be nice, but the judges wouldn't go for it and it would affect scores. They tend to only go for more cinematic or Chinese type of music. That is why a lof of them pick movie scores from Chinese films -- double bonus for the judges. :-)
