7:30 Enemy Hulk giving your Dr Strange the loony toons DBZ slammajam treatment while Luna stands right next to them dancing her heart out absolutely crushed me 10/10 videogame
She was one of the few characters in this that I don't have much experience with in the comics since she's relatively new (I think?), but somehow, I still feel she has one of the best complete designs in the game (meaning looks/abilities/animations/etc.).
That's normal, supports should be the primary target. It's more balanced in this game because there's more players surrounding the supports, in Overwatch that feels like torture
I miss her and Mantis, they are like Ana on steroids, have to heal and damage all the time, nonstop, always active (and because of that, always fun). I do think the character is kinda forced, the "idol" stereotype only convinced me once, a "demon" named Idun in Shin Megami Tensei 5... but anyway, it's not "offensive" or anything, Luna exists, her ultimate has some charm
Yeah, I know very little about the character. When I get some time, I'll have to look into her story. As for gameplay though, I definitely enjoy playing her, but I like playing Mantis a lot more for some reason.
@@valstarlight Mantis is a little bit stronger and faster, at first I underestimated her, but she is arguably the strongest support in the game (and the devs considering her a 1 star difficulty is a joke by itself, she is way harder than Rocket and Luna). As for Luna, she was literally created for a mobile game, targeting the korean market... so it's the usual stuff, she check boxes. I don't really care about k-pop and korean culture in general, but I can see the appeal. The devs have to dig up healers in the Marvel universe, there's not many of them. I am not a hardcore comics fan or anything, but I remember just two healers, a mutant named Elixir (rather new character from the mid 00s) and Cloak and Dagger (one is dark, the other is light... guess what, light heals people)
@@RRRRRRRRR33 Yeah, the frantic playstyle of Mantis is actually why I think I enjoy her. Always something to do, her heal is pretty much stick it on someone and do something else(like buff your DPS). She's got the sleep to protect herself and does surprisingly good damage when you can sneak in attacks and pressure. I think Rocket is the easiest support and I can just kinda turn my brain off and do well with him, but I still enjoy playing Mantis more. The Luna info makes sense. I knew she was like a kpop superhero, I just didn't know much else (or that she was for a mobile game lol) My sister and I were talking about maybe having Emma Frost as a support with some diamond skin mechanic to protect people with shields. Other than that, I'd have to really dig through some comic character lists to find more traditional healer types.
@@valstarlight Emma can work as a support, but it's complicated to balance shields... remains to be seen, Invisible Woman also projects shields, it's a certainty she will be a support, promoting the Fantastic 4 MCU movie next year, etc.. plenty of potential for cool supports and tanks, something Overwatch lacks. Rocket is the easiest indeed, but he is not like Moira, which means 100% braindead, you need to at least hide his resurrection thing, pick up the armor from it (and the super jump), get in and out with his jetpack, etc.. even the easiest character is fun, that is the greatest appeal of Rivals imo, even if the game struggles with balancing and performance issues (your PC must be super strong, to sustain the Dr Strange portal without lagging), in the end the game is so fun and engaging, I take a blind eye for the flaws
@@RRRRRRRRR33 Yeah, I think the potential of this game is one of the biggest draws. It's got the Marvel IP attached which obviously helps and from what we've seen so far it is very, very promising and almost came out of nowhere. I'm just really excited to see where it goes from here and the game isn't even released yet lol.
Luna and Mantis for sure, I'd include Rocket too. Adam takes a lot more coordination from the team and just feels awful to try to solo heal with - like it literarily seems impossible. Jeff is a little too gimmicky, I think if you can focus on just healing and dropping bubbles to save yourself from the Spidermans, Magiks and Black Panthers. He's alright. The only time I saw people using him in ranked was to ult, eat the enemy team and jump off the map while hardly ever healing lol.

The "loony toons DBZ slammajam treatment" is now going to be part of my vocab. LOL
I love how carefree she is and just here to have a good time dancing

@@valstarlight yeah she first appeared in the game Marvel Future Fight in 2018 and in 2019 in comics
@@freddi659 Wow, yeah. By comic standards that is very new. Thanks for the info!
Pressure against Support is so annoying yet so effective lol! These guys wanted you GONE haha
Haha they really did XD

The amount of healing Lune deals is just CRAZY you can reach 40.000 in healing or more with good aim
She's awesome! I wish my aim was better lol. I stick to Rocket and Mantis because I don't have to necessarily hit people. Trying to get better!
