After he turned somewhere between 35-39, he's just his song-style and his personal style, I will say while I understand doing the same thing over and over can be boring, for me, Embrya was ambrosia to me.
That was Maxwell's most creative, artistic, and musically inclined and distinct type of sound. Hence, why it was different sounding than regular R&B because it was Neo-soul and unique.
