17:48 man thanks for this. it’s been a really tough couple of years. I can’t possibly imagine your grief, but I’m glad this project helped you process some of it, definitely helped me too. I’ve been toying with a similar piece to help deal with some of the losses I’ve had this year, but after vo I felt dumb for doing it, and until seeing this I wasn’t sure if I’d follow through. Everyone still processes loss their own way, but putting pen to paper and exploring how it’s changed you is worthwhile, and sharing that perspective can be meaningful to other people too. Thanks a lot of this video man 👌
It's super weird, I agree! I felt reeeal dumb recording the VO, and the section where I put names and dates to my own loss was deleted and re-added several times over. I don't talk about my grief publicly like this, I've used the "it happens to everyone eventually" excuse to sorta justify downplaying my own feelings on it all. But going through with it and really doing my best to represent my own emotional turmoil through video has been one of the most rewarding experiences of the whole process. I hope it does something similar for you, and I can't wait to see the final result 🙌
