You were right the first time. Qxg6 fails after Kf5 stops any mating possibilites on the G file. Black can sac their Queen on Qf6, but that only delays thw Nxf6 mate for one more move.
I think on the pause the video moments you should show the answer or give a hint and just ask people to comment if they got it or what their wrong ideas were. I saw Qxf7 which seems right, a lot of attacks win the exchange, someone said Qxg6 which might work I'm not sure and I'm not super good at calculating and I get busy. I don't always figure them out but not all of the comments are always correct.
Igor thanks for your tips on London opening and more, now my problem is is finding a good opponent too enjoy games with. These openings are so strong and tough for some to break through that 30% of my games they are abandoning refusing to resign after loosing 1 or 2 pieces so I'm rarely ending games. But the ones I do get to anialate in tremendous finishing check mates 😂 ah well bellow 1000 rapids....
(Edited) I think strongest is Qxf7. After any response other than Qf6 black loses to smothered mate after Nxg6#. If black plays Qf6, then after Nxf6+ black is forced to defend mate with Qxf6 and loses his queen after Qxf6.
I don’t see it. If Qxf7 then Qf6 and Nxg6-Qxg6 Qxg6- Rc7 and we have a long way to mate… But if Qxg6… then we have a stronger forced mate considering these three responses respectively: Fxg6, Rg8, and Qf6. In order, Fxg6 fails to an immediate mate with Nxg6#, Rg8 likewise fails to Nxf7#. Lastly, Qf6 results in the sequence Qxf6- Rg8 and Nxf7#!!!
The best is Qxg6 because in Qxf7 there's a escape for black: If Qxf7, then Qf6, Nxg6+, Qxg6, Qxg6, Rc7... and there's no forced checkmate anymore If Qxg6, there's 3 options for black, but all of them end up with checkmate: If Nf5: Qg8+, Rxg8, hxg8=Q# because it's a discover attack from the rook on h3; If Nh5: Qg8+, Rxg8, Rxh5# because the rooks on g1 and h3 are covering all the g and h files; If Qg5: Rxg5, xg6, Nxg6#
Qxg6!! with the idea that if fxg6 Ng6 is mate. If Qf6 just take it Rook g8 defends against the mate on g7 but then Nxf7 is mate. Three mates are threatened whichever way black defends: Nxf#, Nxg6 # and Qxg7#. All of them possible with Qxg6 as a starting move.
Hey Jack, Thanks for the suggestion. It is a quite an important and simple concept to understand. Here is an article that will help you. www.chess.com/terms/en-passant#examples-of-en-passant
Looks like Qxg6 destroys Black as after fxg6, Nxg6 is mate! And Qxg7 mate is threatened. If the Knight moves, Qxg8+, N or Rxg8, hxg8=Q mate, because it's double check!
Looking at the comments, Qxf7 also seems to be winning quickly. It's not quite as immediate, because Black can play Qf6. But after Nxg6+ White wins Q for a N and mate will follow very soon.
Yeah , if he sac his👸 it would have been more spectacular but it got the job done. I'm calling this guy Fundamental GrandSenseì, he obliterated Hikaru w Basic Theory.

I think the best move for White is Qxf7, if Rxf7 then Nxg6#. The only defense for black results in losing his Queen for the Knight.

00:34 1) Do NOT worry about Bd6-Bxf4 ideas

04:07 3) Key multipurpose move
05:02 4) Powerful pawn storm!
06:48 5) Last piece to join the attack
07:24 Can you find the stronger finishing move?
1. Qxg6+!!
@@ernestogarcillan1977 Ow my, that's brutal.
Solution:
Qxf7; if ...Rxf7 then Nxg6 is mate.
I now see that 1 Qxf7 Qf6 staves things off. An immediate 1 Qxg6 seems better.
You were right the first time. Qxg6 fails after Kf5 stops any mating possibilites on the G file. Black can sac their Queen on Qf6, but that only delays thw Nxf6 mate for one more move.
I am now realizing that Qf6 sets up a trade of queens after Qf6, Qxf6, Rxf6. But I think white can then force mate after Rxg6
Same here. I dont watch every video but i alway want to see the results :D
I think your sacrifice Qxf7 is a more eloquent finish.
bruh, the comment section if filled with
Perfect video. Thx a lot, Igor
Qf6-f7. Only option for black is Rf8-f7. Then Ne5-f7 for mate
Looks like both Qxf7 and Qxg6 force mate.
Qxf7, after rock takes the Qxf7 knight capture the rockf7, if rock won't capture Qxf7, knight will takes pawn g6
QxG6 is the move
Qxg6 is the most straightforward, Qxf7 leads to Qf6 complicating matters a bit, black can buy some time, while Rxg6 will just exchange the queens.
I think Rgg6, any move white makes leads to Ng6# or Qxg7#...

Qxg6! Coach. 👍👍👍👌👌
Nice video

In order, Fxg6 fails to an immediate mate with Nxg6#, Rg8 likewise fails to Nxf7#. Lastly, Qf6 results in the sequence Qxf6- Rg8 and Nxf7#!!!
The best is Qxg6 because in Qxf7 there's a escape for black:
If Qxf7, then Qf6, Nxg6+, Qxg6, Qxg6, Rc7... and there's no forced checkmate anymore
If Qxg6, there's 3 options for black, but all of them end up with checkmate:
If Nf5: Qg8+, Rxg8, hxg8=Q# because it's a discover attack from the rook on h3;
If Nh5: Qg8+, Rxg8, Rxh5# because the rooks on g1 and h3 are covering all the g and h files;
If Qg5: Rxg5, xg6, Nxg6#
Qxg6!! with the idea that if fxg6 Ng6 is mate. If Qf6 just take it Rook g8 defends against the mate on g7 but then Nxf7 is mate. Three mates are threatened whichever way black defends: Nxf#, Nxg6 # and Qxg7#. All of them possible with Qxg6 as a starting move.
Can the pawn take the knight with en passant once Queen takes the rook on f7?
QxG6, if knight moves of f5, then Qg8+, rook takes, and the pawn takes G8, Promoting a rook is enough, it's a double check
Rxg6 Is best
I love this very much, just ignore and develop. It is very good idea for me to improve my game.
The queen can take either f or g pawn and then knight retakes for the mate.
GM Smirnov, Do you have any games to show how En Passant is played? I haven't used that move in years. Thanks for all your great videos.
Hey Jack, Thanks for the suggestion. It is a quite an important and simple concept to understand. Here is an article that will help you.

@@GMIgorSmirnov Thanks for the article and reply.
Also Qxg6 leading to quick mate
7:17, doesn't Qxg6 forces mate in 2? If pawn takes, knight takes and checkmate, if pawn doesn't take, then queen can mate in 1.
Yes
Qxf7, Rxf7, Nxf7 for mate
RG6. Black captures with PG6.
N G6 Checkmate. 🤔
Weird. I'm not an expert but I always heard was bad doubling our pawns. I always tried to avoid it. This surprised me quite a bit.
Qxf7 first, IF rxf7 then nx (either) f7# OR g6#,,, if Rg8, then h7xg8#..... Any way you slice it it's the winning move!
After d4d5, Nf3c5 which one is better among c3 and e3
Q*f7 and Q*g6
Both wins
hilariante!
Looks like Qxg6 destroys Black as after fxg6, Nxg6 is mate! And Qxg7 mate is threatened. If the Knight moves, Qxg8+, N or Rxg8, hxg8=Q mate, because it's double check!

Qf7 ofc
black queen takes f7 Rx f7 Nxf7 smothered mate.
queen to f7, rook takes then knight takes rook--------------- CHECKMATE
Rook doesnt have to take.
@@trustdnb then it's nxg6#
Same
Oh no my queen
Qxf7, and it doesn't matters wether black rook takes or not, knight g6 is mate.
Edit: i just realized that Qxf7 is an "oh no my queen" moment lol.
No its QxG6
Qxf7 and Kg6 = seems to be unstoppable, after Qg6 Kf5 and black life lasts little longer, good?
After Qxg6 Nf5 (not K) Qg8+ and hxg8#. Qxf7 is also winning quickly but Black lasts a couple of extra moves after Qf6.
1. Qxg6+
He sacrifice the queen
Whatever the moveay be knight cheakmate is unstoppable
queen takes f7 pawn
Queen takes pawn on g6
Queen takes f7😂 & all the credit to beautiful knight there whatever he decides check mate
Qxg6, if tAken by the pawn nxg6 mate, if not, Qxg7 mate. Am I Right?🙈
And if rg8 it’s smothered mate with nxf7….🤔
Interesting and helpful commentary, clearly presented ... thanks! But .... bring back the cat !!
Thanks, Frank
Queen takes pawn
Q*g6
Yeah. ok, QxPg6 is more certain and neater. sim idea.
Knight take g6
Queen takes G6
Qxf7 then what ever happens Nxg6 is a checkmate
Qxh6 and Black resign as there is nothing to do...
Queen to F7
queen takes g6 !
rg6 game over
Q x g6
Hikaru lost?
Why doesn't black just play ....Nd7 as soon as white plays Ne5?
Yeah , if he sac his👸 it would have been more spectacular but it got the job done. I'm calling this guy Fundamental GrandSenseì, he obliterated Hikaru w Basic Theory.
Qxf7
Rxg6 good move
Rxg6 FxG6 KxG6+
I think q8×qf6 .
Qxf7!! Speaks for itself
Qxf7 followed buy kn-g6 is better that Qxg6 / Kn-h5! Then things get too complicated
Qxf7 and if black can move anything
White can mate by Nxg6#
Stronger Move:
Qxg6, fxg6, Nxg6# (Checkmate)
Qxf7, threatening Nxg6.
Qxg6, puzzle..
Qxf7 Qg6, - win the queen
Qxf7 Rxf7 2.Ng6#
Qg6-Pg6
Ng6chqmate
Nxg6
Qxf7
Qxf7
