    I live in Rivne. It's a small town but it's not the worst, I guess. The pace is really moderate. It's kinda poor but chill. Don't plan to move, anyway.

      @Master Of Fatality The official stats are around 300-350 USD per month. But a lot of people don't show their income and don't pay taxes. For example, a teacher with the average salary pays taxes and gets into official statistics, but a businessman who makes let's say 5k USD doesn't pay taxes and stays in the shadow. That's why Ukraine is very poor in all ratings but the people and the streets don't look that bad.

      @Master Of FatalityHard to estimate, there is huge income disparity. My guess it would be in the range between 500 -1000 USD. And I don't really know what is considered "decent" night life. Not my type of entertainment. As for safety, no one is robbing people during the day on the streets, people very rarely own firearms (they are allowed only for police and hunters), but burglary is frequent. That's why people don't have open front yards and build tall fences around their houses.

      @Master Of Fatality Something like that can happen in bigger cities occasionally, like in Kyiv or Odesa. It's not Switzerland of course. But there is no feeling of danger on the streets. Belarus may seem safer on the surface, but it's just a ticking time bomb. They've been existing if half-Soviet state since the 90's. And it's coming to bite them in the ass.

    • @AlbaLynxQueen
      @AlbaLynxQueen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Master Of Fatality It depends on whom you ask. I was born in 1990 (last year of USSR rule) in Ukraine and yes, I think life has been better here than in Belarus, but my grandparents definitely think that Belarus is better (like their Soviet childhood). It depends on your values and political preferences. Ukraine used these 30 years to develop democracy, language, culture, private businesses, but it's drowned in corruption and war. Belarus became almost an extension of Russia without its own language and culture, their industries are still controlled by the state and president himself. They have been living in a semblance of stability which is now crumbling. Ukraine has been moving extremely slowly but toward EU. In Belarus time stood still. Belarus has better roads and medicine. Ukraine has more freedom. Overall, it's a very complicated topic.

      @AlbaLynxQueen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Master Of Fatality I don't see anything bad in globalization. It's inevitable. No good has ever come from Russia. It's just an evil empire collecting lands. It's Ukraine's worst enemy. No country has done more harm to Ukraine than Russia. And if right now we need to work with the USA or with the devil himself to fend off Russia, we will do it. All politics is dirty and always will be.
