Inspired by the USA's prohibition period of the 1920s, this city centered barber shop is in the heart of the well beaten tourist high streets yet comfortably tucked away for an ideal foray into peaceful self-indulgence while on the road!
1920 The Metropolitan Barber Shop has a Chicago prohibition themed interior complete with authentic antique barber chairs and lighting fixtures from this period.

After seeing this clip, I travelled to Athens from Australia, visited 1920 and had a Prohibition Wet Shave from this guy. I even sat in Harry’s chair! A truly great experience.

This barber is Gorgeous!
I love his lathering of the creame on his face. Nice thick and consistent converage, makes for a much softer beard and better shave in my opinion. Also he worked the lather in deeper as well with the extra passes of the brush.

It’s a middle eastern technique of pulling hair out of the skin. He pulls out the hair which is not strong enough for shaving. Above the eyebrows for example. So the hair doesn’t return as fast as shaving.
Great video! The threading was my favorite part. I've not seen much of that in real ASMR vids.

If you ever film in Italy, please stop by the Scapicchio Barber Shop for a haircut and shave! You gotta watch ASMR Barber's video from there, that place is awesome and ASMR heaven. Also, having a mic on you would really bring out the ASMR sounds, like when the shaving cream is applied and when the actual shaving begins
