The Apple company sold faulty iPhone 8. Properly issuing a recall for a problem with the "logic chip". Apple requires consumers to input the serial Number into their website which determines if consumers qualify for free repair. With out assessing the physical phone at all. This recall was to cover Apple, while passing on hundreds of dollars per customer to repair. Atop of loss data on the already purchased phone. In my experience, I have a prime example of the model 8. No damage, no water damage, pristine condition. However the phone became extremely hot and never activated again. After being told the motherboard was no longer working, I went to apples website and denied repair unless I pay out of pocket. I explained my situation to Justin (apple rep) who then allowed me to speak with his senior Miya (oct 3, 2019). Miya explained, I can pay out of pocket or bring the device into a store when my option would ultimately be to pay out pocket, Even if the device is shown to have a factory issue ("logic board") /recall because my serial Number is not approved in their data base. Whom ever issued this recall/ scam, with this structure that passes the company's fault on to consumers should be held responsible and Apple for generating more revenue from taking advantage of unsuspecting consumers. Thank you.

Glue was accidentally spelt on my iphone 8plus motherboard by an amateur technician which let to overheating and frequent rebooting and eventually the red screen. Should i just replace my logic board or what????

Remember I did a school boy error when replacing the housing on an iPhone 8 before I thought I removed all screws from the logic board only to find out there was a hidden screw under the black tape top of motherboard so I put a bit to much pressure to get the board out and bang snapped a piece on top of motherboard now phone is unrepairable haha
You are right. I broke the old board cause i didnt see it and the guy does not say about it in the video.
He does show it being removed to be fair lol just I never watch videos how to remove the logic boards from iphones I’ve just taken them apart and done them myself but got caught out by the screw hidden behind that black tape haha

My question to you is, is the iPhone 6 motherboard compatible with an iPhone 8? And if the iPhone 6 motherboard was switched would it be under iPhone 6 updates and stuff or would it convert to an 8?
No, between the models of iphone motherboards are irreplaceable.

The old button (Touch ID) will not work with a new motherboard. Change the motherboard immediately with a button.

You need buy a motherboard + button (а button that is programmatically linked to the motherboard from the factory)

no it wont. its button is paired uniquely to its original motherboard. same goes if you want to replace the home button.

everything apart from touch id
and maybe home button functionality but you can easily get home button functionality back using the JC home button replacement
