Your reactions may just unconsciously protect you from feelings that you experienced as a child,...feelings that you could not process because you were too young. So whenever someone gets too close to you and touches your vulnerability,..you run. With Venus in Scorpio your feelings run very deep, especially those of affection. I thought I was so confused in my mind because of my moon in Gemini in the 3rd H. Guess that also helps.
