Solo Overnight Truck Tent Camping in a Thunderstorm

In this adventure we used a truck tent for the first time ever during some heavy rain and thunder. The trip started off rough but sometimes that's just how it goes. Hope you all enjoyed and thanks for watching!

Good job!!! Beat out the hard rain as well. I have a Napier truck tent for my 5 ft. Bed on my Tacoma..had to build it up with some plywood to go over the wheel wells. That way I can sleep diagonal. The diagonal is 6ft 4 inches and I am 5Ft 10 inches so works out pretty well. I bought some 1/2 inch carpet pad to go under my air mattress and works out well for comfort. Plus the carpet pad was cheap. Thanks for another cool video.

Do you like using the truck tent better than the softopper? The reason I ask is because I have a softopper now, but I also had a Napier bed tent. It wasn't near as sturdy, but I sure do miss the headroom. Maybe I just got lazy because it was a pain putting it away. Yeah, I'm sure I just got lazy. Haha!

I think I like the softopper better overall but the extra head room with the tent is nice! It is a pain putting away though like you mentioned haha!
