Deris is a good singer, I think that the reason why many people don't like him is because they have heard Kiske and Haisen sing. Deris sings some songs very good, From Where the Rain Grows and Sole Survivor.

Helloween was WAY better, the production value was awesome and made GR seem like an amateur opener. The mixing was so extremly poor for GR that you could hear the drums way to loud and hardly hear anything of Kai's voice.When Deris opened with Halloween I got cold chills and thought that was the most awesome thing i heard since Nightwish with Tarja
Definitivamente Andi Deris me ha impresionado.......no puedo creer la cantidad de "gallos" que le ayudaron a cantar. Estuve en un concierto de Gamma y Helloween y la verdad no sacó tantos como en el del video. Pero Deris es chido la neta, sus canciones las canta bien no las de Kiske XD

la mejor interpretacion de deris de los viejos temas de helloween es en el dvd de HIGH LIVE, hay si que deris tuvo una impresionante noche, despues de ese dvd pues ni hablar deris no da ni una con los temas de kiske...que quede claro que me encanta la voz de deris con pc 69 y con helloween hasta cierto disco, pero en directos sin palabras....

Deris is great and amazing on his own style, when he sings the songs of his era...we have to accept that Helloween NEEDS to change the old songs to fit Deris and nto trying to just sound like the old Helloween with a totally different singer in style and voice.... just help Deris out and change the songs to his own metal style!
@brucenash you don't watch too many live performances do you? Listen to the studio version at least then if you don't like it. I'd like you to find a live performance of this song and see if anyone can sing this song perfect live, I almost bet you will not find many, if any at all.

But for communication's sake, I think it's better that peope just say they're a fan of 'Kiske-era' Helloween when they don't like Deris.

Singing in a band like helloween and smoking then is like a sportsman, who's cutting his legs every morning. I can't understand ,why they (deris and hansen) didn't stop smoking when the voice was in good shape years ago. It's part of their job we all pay for, to take care of their voice and to give their best.
Andi´s great. I can´t see why he shouldn´sing old Helloween songs... If he doesn´t sing them , dumb fanatics say " why doesn´t he sing this or that?" ?
