I don't know why i have spent 8 years of my life convincing myself that i did not have an olive undertone when all neutral/warm shades are too orange on me although my skin has warmth. I am procrastinating studying for my exam but hey i found someone with very similar skin tone as me so that's a win in my book. Edit: i just mixed an olive eyeshadow from my old makeup revolution pallette with my wet n wild toffee pecan foundation (neutral, medium deep shade) and i can't even tell the difference between my skin and this made-up foundation . My mind is blown and i am so perplexed by this and even more confused why i never put two and two together that i absolutely LOVE green/olive tones on me and they make me literally radiate for a reason. I feel so dumb and amazed all at the same time. Thank you for this quite literally life-changing video, girl!

Your skin tone is sooo similar to mine !!! I'm so happy to find someone with the same amount of olive yellow in their skintone 😂❤ I use the lakme 9 to 5 foundation in warm caramel , it is also an olive undertone but it definetly pulls a bit orange on me (i rlly need that yellow 😔) but still the best shade match I've found till date. The nyx one rlly attracted me but orangey oxidation is a bit off putting 😮💨

I never really found foundations to work on my skin. I end up reaching for a concealer and just cover those marks; add some good moisturizer/dewy sunscreen as base and just go with it. So, now I no longer buy foundations - I will -- if someone tells me that a foundation is soooo freaking good that it changed their life and that it is the best in the world and that they would literally be hurt if that foundation is out of supply and spend weeks locked in a room because they are sad :'D Delusional, I know.
Hi Veena! I love that you know what you're up for and what you're not 😂 Honestly on a regular basis it's hard to put foundation on every day anyway so your concealer strategy is elite! If you ever need help shade matching for an event or something DM me and I'll help! PS : if the NYX foundation ever gets discontinued I shall be found in a dark corner of a locked room, very sad and forlorn

@@sam.nottooshabby I think Mars has a green corrector shade in the concealer range 🤔 I know that's not the same as an olive shade, but that's budget friendly. And to answer your question, no, I don't stock up on products I love and later regret it. This video of yours made me feel that maybe Maybelline 228 can be a shade match for me. I use 310 and it looks a bit yellow on me. Oh and the foundations that match my face and neck don't match my forehead because it is a shade or two darker🤦🏻♀️

Your previous video about skin undertones helped me a lot in understanding my skin tone better. I understood why most warm foundations look orange on me after oxidation. I used to use the Maybelline fit me in sun beige. While applying, it looked completely fine but after a while, I looked like an orange😂. I have also tried the foundation in the shade soft tan, it was better match but it also oxidised. Also Nykaa all-day compact powder looks very much like my skintone in the pan but after apllication, it turns a bit peachy. Moral of the story I need to buy more yellow-based foundations🙌. P.S.- I definitely knew I had an olive undertone but I struggled to buy makeup products for my self. 3-4 years back I bought the lakme lipstick in rosy sunday . I didn't know anything about undertones back then. That day I was so happy to reach home and try it for the first time, since that particular shade remained out of stock most of the time. Anyways I tried it and felt that something was off. Tried it again the next day in daylight with a lipliner and I noticed my skin looked a bit green. I was heart broken, to be honest . But after a bit of research, I got to know that I have an olive undertone😂😂😂😂.
