Hey, guys! Thank you for loving this video. If you like it, don’t forget subscribe, like and comment! It motivates me :) Enjoy your relaxing time with kalimba!
The kalimba completely avoids my ears and goes straight to my heart I swear. Everytime i hear it, i imagine my self in a forest at night. I'm near a camp fire and some person is playing the instrument for me as i lay down getting ready to sleep. Just beautiful
And for one night, said the sky, For one night, all shall be calm. The children shall sleep sound, The oceans will steady themselves, The ground shall not quake. And for one night, said the sky, For one night, all shall be at rest. The music shall cry soft, The hands will not tire, The air shall carry clear. For one night, said the sky. For one night. For this night.
When I was a child, I used to put my ear to little crank music boxes and just lay down on the floor and cry. It wasn’t out of sadness but I think the music just was so beautiful to me my 4 year old emotions couldn’t handle it. This sound is so similar and although I’m not laying on the floor crying, I did shed a few tears listening to it. It’s very interesting how certain sounds can stimulate our emotions.
I did the same! My sister got a music box every year as one of her b-day presents and we saved them all. The best music box was this sad clown that played Moonlight from Cats. I didn't know what cats was but I thought the song was beautiful, even just on those tinny, metallic notes. I played it over and iver.
When I was 6 I guess, my mom was open some sad songs and one of them i was crying just like you for no reason, i think always music any kind of music have the power to move up something in us whatever it was we can't Express it..
The Kalimba makes me feel like everything is going to be fine. Who else feels the same? To the person reading this: I hope you have a wonderful day! I know there are many things that are happening right now in the world but just remember you are loved and that I’m proud of you for making it this far in life! 💕 Good job to the person playing!
That's the exact thing I feel towards the kalimba too, I just didn't know how to describe it until now:') it's also the kind of instrument I can imagine a fairy to play from some reason lol
i lost my nan only a few months ago, i grew up with her and i considered her my mom. she was a talented pianist, she would give my brothers and i very strict lessons. i regret letting piano go now. i remember one lesson in particular from when i was a child, i found this song and fell in love right away. so i intended to learn it, although of course my skill is much too lacking and i never learned it. my nan knew how to play it just by reading the sheet music, which i printed out for her. she played this song for me. tonight, i cant sleep but i found this video reccomended to me. it helped me release some tears ive been holding back for a while now and i feel as though maybe i could sleep for just a while.
Wow. Thanks for sharing your story. God bless. I've played piano for many years but not so much in recent years. But with some practice, it comes back to me. Maybe you can play a more simplified (the easy notes) of that song with some practice. :)
Oh my, this made me cry a bit.. because.. this music just made me think that we all do deserve happy endings and have a happy life. We all have purpose like this. Everyone and everything has its own great talent. We all have talents, there is no way that we don't have. If you say you don't have, Well simply just find it and you will soon know why and how is it so special?
@@lacy01 Hehe I am sorry. Well, Cry as many times as you may because there are no reasons to resist it. It is only natural to cry. So, have a safe living to you and your family as well. Get your mood and twist your down upside down. ^_^
I'd always imagine myself in a fairy-like dream. Laying down a lavender field while listening to this song, its almost dawn and fireflies start to show up and light the already darkening purple clouds a moment ago and as they continue to light the already dimmed placed, your thoughts are off to a happy place...
When I hear this I just imagine this: Sitting in a field of flowers and inhaling the fragrance of the flowers and fresh air as the sun kisses my cheeks as the wind move's slowly to make the leaves on the trees and the flowers whisper things and make feel calm and I close my eyes slowly and go to a deep deep sleep. O (I love this)
Wow, Just wow.. Chopin's Nocturnes is my favourite music to calm me down since many years now and you brought it together with the instrument I just fell in love with days ago. I am definitely going to learn how to play kimbala. Thank you very much for sharing!
i play piano casually and after these kalimba videos i bought one, really cheap. its so fun to use but cant get in my muscle memory for some reason. really relaxing tho. just sucks that for another key you have to "calibrate" the bars and some pices you cant really play due to half tones not appearing on the regular key.

Soft melody that gently soothes all pains and worries. It makes my heart warm and kind. It makes everything brighter and dream like. A wonder for the heart, soul, mind, and body to fully relax by.
When I hear this, I can just picture sitting in a meadow by the sea, watching the waves in the distance as the long grass sways gently in the warm, gentle breeze, carrying with it both the salty smell of the ocean and the sweet aroma of flowers. I know this is a bit strange of a comment, but I hope that this made your day a bit better
I love picturing myself relaxing in a hammoc as birds fly about the tree tops in a greeny forest well lit, but mostly shaded. A nice slight breeze waking me up a little before the relaxing nature of everything lures me back to sleep. maybe a hammoc with a nice lil kitten to snuggle with.
I absolutely LOVE this particular tune, but I’ll admit that I’m a bit frustrated! I want to learn! I used to be a musician. Started out with cello, moved on to horns (French horn), then guitar. I was in a bad wreck in ‘02 which left me paralyzed from under breast down plus left hand. I’ve been working my left fingers through the years and I think that I could do this. BUT...I couldn’t play the same tune over and over (unless I was practicing)

Why did I only see this now....???? I've been listening to chopin's compositons my whole life, As in WHOLE LIFE my elder siblings would sit on our music room and play and I would sit there and watch the whole time.
