In section 42 how can a firm be dissolved when we already saw in sec 39 that during insolvency or death of a partner,it's the partnership that dissolves and not firm
Sir, assume that X,Y,Z (all are active partner) are partners & 1st Aug ko firm dissolution ho gayi & after dissolution sirf "X" NE public notice Diya hai & Y & Z Ne public notice nahi diya hai & on 1st Nov "Y" Ne third party (who was ignorant of the dissolution) se 20L borrow kiye. In such a case, kya "X" liable rahega third party ko?
Mode of giving public notice 1) by giving a public notice to official gazette and at least one newspaper circulating in the district, where the firm is located. 2) Notice to be served on the registrar of the firm. (If firm is registered) . I am not 100 % sure but i think this should answer your questions.

Mr X will not be liable . And,
Public notice in case of dissolution is not given seperately by each partner.
