How about a history of USCGC Dauntless. Not only was she the premire drug interdiction boat, but also led the way in the Mariel Cuba boat lift and the Haitian flight. I served aboard her for two of the best years of my life in the early 80's and hated everyday we were in port.

I retired off her Feb 1, 1999. She was a great duty station!
Had a great deployment out of ALPAT on the Active back in the late 90's. Took a cargo ship in tow that was hauling illegal Chinese in pitiful conditions to smuggle them into into Mexico so they could enter through the southern border. As a member of the AVDET I even stood a tow watch in the predawn hours. Very professional crew on that ship. Never thought I would ever enjoy a deployment on a 210, but it happened.
The Captain looks so young for having been doing that since 1790.

memories .... time on STEADFAST, RELIANCE, DILIGENCE, VALIANT (x2 .. XO and CO) CO 97-99 .....
